After caping for the likes of Donald Trump and disrespecting Auntie Maxine Waters , it didn’t surprise anyone that social media had a field day this past Sunday when Clueless star Stacey Dash found herself rocking some stylish steel bracelets on her way to central bookings for domestic battery. What is indeed surprising though is that in Dash’s arrest file her ethnicity was listed as, wait for it, “white.” Huh?! TMZ is reporting that the controversial actress who is the product of a Black father and Mexican mother was jotted down as a white woman on her arrest report because, well, the officer thought she was Hispanic. Yup, we don’t get it either. And while most people were quick to believe that Dash herself stated she was Caucasian, it was the officers at the department that decided to label her a “W.” A spokesperson for the Pasco Sheriff’s Department tells us, “Stacey Dash was never asked her race by the arresting deputy, nor did she volunteer any information about her race. The arresting deputy assumed that she was Hispanic.” Unfortunately, police computers do not have a “Hispanic” option when it comes time to fill out these reports even though Hispanics make up 15% of the population in Pasco County. So they decided to list her as “White” because, well, we don’t know. They could’ve just as easily gone with her actual half-race of “Black” but whatever. Still though, no tears shall be shed for Stacey Dash whether White, Black or Hispanic. Maybe Asian, we don’t know.

T he Black maternal health crisis has been an ever-growing issue within our country. According to a report released by the National Partnership for Women & Families, African American women in the U.S. are more likely to die from pregnancy and childbirth than women of any other race. Further research revealed that Black women are more likely to experience preventable maternal death than white women. Tennis star Serena Williams is determined to address these alarming trends. Mahmee provides expecting parents with a comprehensive dashboard that tracks the health of the mother and child. Source: Derrick Salters/WENN.com / WENN Elizabeth Warren Is Putting Her Plan For Student Loan Debt Into Action As the race heats up between more than a dozen Democratic Presidential candidates, there are certain issues that continue to be brought up time and time again both on the campaign trail and during debates. One of those issues is student loan debt, with the idea of some sort of debt forgiveness being at the top of a lot of a lot of voters’ list. Senator Elizabeth Warren has been vocal about her plan for student loan forgiveness over the past couple of months, but now, she’s really putting that plan into action. The Massachusetts politician introduced a bill on Tuesday that would forgive student loans for tens of millions of Americans, which would mean three-quarters of borrowers would have their balances reset to zero. The Senator first released her plan to do this very thing back in April, but the legislation–which has been dubbed the Student Loan Debt Relief Act–offers new details on how she would go about dismantling the country’s outstanding student debt, which is soon expected to exceed $2 trillion. Under Warren’s newly introduced proposal, borrowers with household incomes under $100,000 would get $50,000 of their student debt completely forgiven. People who earn between $100,000 and $250,000 would be eligible for forgiveness on a sliding scale. And those who earn more than $250,000 would not get any debt relief. For those wondering about the logistics of this whole thing: the degree of debt forgiveness a person receives would be determined by their income in the most recent tax year and the loan cancellations would take about a year from the time the bill is enacted to complete. Though most people crippled by their student loan debt are probably huge fans of this idea, not everyone is on board with completely cancelling out such a tab. Consumer advocacy groups like the National Consumer Law Center came out in support of the plan, saying, “we support bills like the Student Loan Debt Relief Act because it recognizes the enormity of the crisis facing today’s borrowers.” Others oppose the plan, like President and CEO of the Consumer Bankers Association Richard Hunt , who says, “this proposal does nothing to decrease the cost of college and does not help future students.” But all in all, the proposal is popular among voters. In a Politico/Morning Consult poll , 56% of registered voters said they support the Massachusetts senator’s proposal to cancel outstanding education loans by raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans. Only 27% of voters said they opposed the plan. Chicago Police have released an audio recording of the 911 call made on behalf of Jussie Smollett back in late January. The call was placed by Smollett’s manager, Frank Gatson … who reported that the Empire star had been the victim of a racist, homophobic assault after leaving a Subway restaurant in the Windy City. This, of course, is what Smollett has alleged the very beginning of this crazy saga. “I just need the police to come by. I work for an artist. I don’t really want to say his name,” Gatson tells a 911 dispatcher at 2:22 a.m., adding: “He states he went to Subway … and two guys – somebody jumped him or something like that. I just want to report it and make sure he’s alright.” A little odd, right? Gatson doesn’t sound especially panicked in the call, but he does sound as if he’s relaying the story that Smollett has spelled out for him. Gatson goes on to claim Smollett “was cool” and “didn’t want me to call you guys,” only for the operator to say that Smollett had to report the alleged crime himself, not Gatson. “He’s definitely gonna make the report. I’m gonna make him make the report,” Gatson says. He proceeds to talk about the “attackers” and how “they put a noose around his neck” and says the entire situation is “really f-cked up.” Police had said the 911 call was made 40 minutes after Smollett got back to his Chicago apartment. “I just think he’s startled. I’m scared and I don’t know what it is,” Gatson adds in the video below. “They put a noose around his neck. They didn’t do anything with it, but put it around his neck. That’s pretty f-cked up to me. Sorry for saying it like that.” Jussie Smollett 911 Call: Released! Again: HUH?!? This is a major reason why Smollett’s description of what transpired on the street that night many months ago has never really added up. He has alleged that he was beaten up by two white men who screamed about “MAGA Country” and who trashed him for being black and gay — and yet he had no wounds from the incident? A noose was simply placed gently around his neck? He didn’t need to be rushed to the hospital? Smollett was arrested several weeks after the supposed assault went down because police were convinced he falsified his official report. He was then cleared of all charges in late March and, to the total shock of many observers, set free. Many members of the Chicago police force, along with the city’a mayor, railed against this decision, however. “This is a whitewash of justice,” a visibly angry Rahm Emanuel told reporters after Smollett was released and cleared. He then laid hard into Smollett for allegedly lying about being the victim of a hate crime: “You have a person using hate crime laws that are on the books to protect people who are minorities from violence to then turn around and use those laws to advance your career and your financial reward. “Is there no decency in this man?” Smollett stands by his original story. He maintains that he was attacked for his race and his sexuality and has thanked the supporters who have stood by him this whole time, which includes a handful of Empire cast members. Does this mean Jussie may someday return to the Fox drama? No, never, we can now confirm .

Today comes further evidence of this fact. According to DailyBeast , internal Fox News emails have been leaked to the public where one of the news corps decent employees chided and rebuked his Mein Kampf-y colleagues for sounding like a “white supremacist chat room” on a particularly obsequious email thread in defense of the Fuhrer-In-Chief Donald Trump. As Joe Biden entered the presidential race this week, he did so in direct opposition to Trump. His announcement had a clip of Trump infamous “very fine people on both sides” quote following the race riot in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017. The Fox News douchebags, reporter Doug McKelway and digital senior editor Cody Derespina, tried to argue that Trump never really said those words. McKelway began his email with a Winston Churchill quote: “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.” He then proceeded to echo the pro-Trump claim that the president never said what he said about the neo-Nazis who marched at the deadly event. McKelway contrasted portions of Biden’s script against the same quotes that pro-Trump outlets have used to claim the president never defended white nationalists. And then the reporter highlighted a quote from his own interview with Brian Lambert, an armed Unite the Right attendee, who portrayed the neo-Nazi rallygoers as victims: “They’re denying people their right to assemble. They’re denying their right to speak freely, however hateful their views may be,” he bemoaned. Cody replied all agreeing with McKelway and providing a link to his interview with marcher Jarrod Kuhn claiming he wasn’t a violent racist, just didn’t want to see the Robert E. Lee statue removed. White House correspondent Jon Decker finally had enough and politely ethered both men on another reply-all email containing dozens of addressees. “I really don’t understand the point you are making,” he wrote. “Jarrod Kuhn was one of those individuals in Charlottesville holding a tiki torch while the mob chanted ‘Jews will not replace us.’” And then: “So much for your Winston Churchill quote,” Decker shot back hours later for all to see. He scolded McKelway for “invoking Churchill to what happened in Charlottesville,” calling it “rather offensive.” In fact, Decker continued, “Based upon the slew of emails that I’ve received today, both of you should send an apology to your Fox News colleagues—many of whom are hurt and infuriated by your respective posts. Your posts read like something you’d read on a White Supremacist chat room.” Sounds like Fox News office politics is just as nasty as their on-air politics. Some real Game of Thrones s#!t. SMH.

He even classily threw some shots at current President Trump and how he failed to handle many of brutal attacks by White Supremacists in the past four years. “He said there were quote some very fine people on both sides. With those words, the President of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it. And in that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I had ever seen in my lifetime.” Biden added that the 2020 race is a “battle for the soul of this nation.” “The core values of this nation, our standing in the world, our very democracy, everything that has made America, America, is at stake. That’s why today I’m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States.” Even during his days as VP, Joe Biden has carried himself more Presidential than Trump and many other hopeful in the upcoming election — and with that comes a bunch of haters. After Biden’s announcement on Thursday, Trump tweeted: “Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe. I only hope you have the intelligence, long in doubt, to wage a successful primary campaign. It will be nasty – you will be dealing with people who truly have some very sick & demented ideas.
