Big brother Christian, 20, posted up a video with him and his twin sisters enjoying themselves on a boat in Miami. Kim’s kids were accompanied by their half-sister Chance Combs. Out of sight, out of mind? For Rob Kardashian, it’s been closer to: Out of sight, out of mind… out of those XXL jeans and into a basic large. According to a new Entertainment Tonight report, the former reality star is thriving now that he’s stepped far away from the spotlight. As you’ve likely noticed, Rob is not appearing on his family’s E! series this season and he’s no longer sharing anything on social media. And such a private existence is serving the father of one extremely well. “Getting out of the spotlight was so important for Rob,” this source says, noting that leaving Instagram has also been especially positive for him: “He needed to completely change his life, things were spiraling out of control for him and his health and relationships were suffering. He needed to refocus.” This same insider estimates that Rob has lost between 30 and 50 pounds over the past few months. Because the star suffers from Diabetes, this is more than just an asthetic improvement. It means his quality of life has improved and his general health is in a far better place than it was during the heyday of his fame. There were fears in the past that Rob’s awful diet would literally lead to his death , as we detailed just over a year ago how Kardashian’s love of milkshakes had caused his weight to balloon. Due to his weight gain and inactivity at the time, Rob started to develop insulin resistance, which is a very dangerous condition for someone afflicted with Diabetes. That was then, however. “His life is completely different now,” this source explains, adding of where Rob’s head it at these days; “He’s got his priorities in check. First and foremost he is there for Dream and he knows that to do so he needs to be healthy.” Indeed, Rob’s daughter with Blac Chyna will soon turn two years old. She’s a total cutie – and, whatever you want to say about how Rob and Chyna treated each other during their romance, it seems like both parents are very dedicated to their child’s well-being. This report also says that Rob has been spending a lot of time with both his siblings and their kids as well. This has been very helpful for Dream. “All the cousins [Dream and Rob’s sister’s kids] are very close,” the insider tells ET. Back in 2016, Rob told People Magazine that he once weighed around 300 pounds. He knew he was in trouble, but he just couldn’t help himself. He buried himself in food any time he felt sad. In a recent interview on The Domenick Nati Show , the former Basketball Wives star said she and her baby sis are not in the best place. “ We really don’t have much of a sister relationship. But here’s how we work, we keep it really tight for our children…Our kids play together all the time. They love each other. I think we’ll keep it at that, for the meantime.” We’re not 100 percent sure what’s behind the fracture in their once close relationship , but as we previously reported , Laura revealed on an episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life that she believed her trifling ex-husband Gilbert Arenas once slept with Gloria . Welp! In addition to spilling the tea on her sister , the 37-year-old mother of four also shared with Nat her thoughts on Jackie Christie and Evelyn Lozada’s current feud about Jackie’s daughter Takari Lee . “I think [Jackie] said enough. Either fix it or move on, if you’re going to help your daughter, be in your daughter’s life then shouldn’t be out on social media.” Govan also ad mitted that she’s been approached about coming back to the VH1 hit show, but she’ll only consider it if the coin was “pretty.” That, and if they let her serve as a mentor to an up and coming cast member. “The talk is there but I don’t think so. Sofia Vergara Shuns Stereotype Fears Claiming She Bases Characters On Real Family Members If you’re waiting for Sofia Vergara to start shedding her thick Colombian accent and rejecting stereotypical roles — don’t hold your breath. In an interview with HOLA today she said her “Modern Family” character is based on her experiences with her mom and aunt and she feels gratitude for being able to find work despite her heavy accent. Via US Weekly: “What’s wrong with being a stereotype?” she responded when Hola! USA asked about fans who criticize her Latina character as playing into stereotypes. “Gloria’s character is inspired by my mom and my aunt. They are both Latin women who grew up in Colombia, like me. They love color, prints and shoes. … It upsets me when Latinos complain about Gloria. I am grateful for the opportunity because the gringos have let me in with this strong accent I have. Eight years ago nobody had an accent like this on television.” What do you think about Vergara’s perspective on the subject? We can see on one hand how it can be a good thing that she can find work, the issue is when non-Latinos meet Latina women and expect them ALL to be just like Gloria. Another quote we found interesting was that Vergara was hesitant to bring any men into her home until her son Manolo (who is 24) left for college: “Partly because I hadn’t found the right person and I knew that if I moved in with someone, it would have a psychological effect on my son,” she said. “I wasn’t going to bring a man into my son’s home. She's always been so much more relatable than her other famous family members — since she wasn't raised like Josh, Jessa, Jill, and the rest of those 19 kids, she's always been a breath of fresh Duggar air. Since Amy brought her husband, Dillon King, on Marriage Boot Camp to discuss their problems and share their deepest, darkest secrets , everything has changed in the worst way. Thankfully, we know now that the scary incident she shared in the trailer for the show, the one where a man picked her up by her throat and lifted her up to the ceiling, didn't have anything to do with her husband . But that doesn't mean there's never been any violence in their home. In this new clip from Marriage Boot Camp, Amy and Dillon discuss a pretty awful story about how he once picked up their kitten and dropped the poor animal on its jaw. He tries to play it off like an accident, but there's a reason cats are known for always landing on all fours — and that's because they do. Also in the clip, it's revealed that Amy punched Dillon after he did whatever he did to the cat. And Amy's excuse for punching her husband? “You had to be there.” Watch the questionable clip below:
Entire Family Diagnosed With Cancer A North Carolina family has somehow managed to stay strong and positive through each member facing cancer diagnoses and harsh treatments over the past 17 years. Through dating, marriage and eventual adoption , it seems that the disease has followed the family every step of their lives together. Via People : If it weren’t true, it would be unbelievable. Three family members – a mother, father and their son – all diagnosed with cancer. Jay Siltzer is the morning anchor at WLOS-TV, the ABC affiliate in Asheville, North Carolina. The 48-year-old was first diagnosed with testicular cancer in January 1999. He had surgery and radiation and was doing well until the cancer came back and wrapped around his spine. This time, doctors were less sure of his prognosis. Again, he had surgery and radiation. He also had chemotherapy treatments. Siltzer, who was treated by Lance Armstrong’s doctor, was warned that it would be probably be tough for him to have children. The possibility that he couldn’t have kids worried him, but he didn’t dwell on it. He’d only been dating his then girlfriend, Kelly, a few months. The couple married in 2000 and life was good – for awhile. They tried desperately to have kids. “We hit a wall at every turn,” Siltzer says. Five years later, they met and fell in love with Malachi, the little boy they would adopt from Ethiopia. Everything was happy for the new family for some time — until Kelly was stricken with a rare form of luekemia in 2011. Unfortunately after a three-year battle of surgeries and radiation, Kelly passed away in 2014, leaving Jay a single father to Malachi. But then, news got even worse for the family. In another cruel twist of fate, just as the father and son were adjusting to a new normal, Malachi woke up last November with a headache. An MRI showed it was a grade-three brain tumor – a large mass on the left side of the little boy’s brain. Malachi has had two brain surgeries to remove the tumor, radiation and ongoing weekly chemo treatments. His speech is slowly coming back, but he still hasn’t learned to read again. When asked about the incredible fact that all three family members were diagnosed with cancer, he says, “I don’t let myself go there, that would be a dark place. I suppose I could ask, ‘Why me?’ but the answer is ‘Why not?’ I’m a person of faith, and I trust good will come from this.” WOW.
