The Rewind Ep. 31 We’re back with another episode of “The Rewind!” The “Family Guy” Landon Levarius and “The Bully” DJ Franchise are giving you their unfiltered opinions on hot topics. This time the guys give you part two of their take on Black History month . After already shining a spotlight on millennial music stars set to make black history, they’re highlighting TV and film creatives that will be remembered forever. Their picks are Lena Waithe, Ryan Coogler, Issa Rae, Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordan. Landon says MBJ is the perfect pick for the top spot of their list because he’s filling in box office seats like the greats. “He’s along the same lines as the Will Smiths to the Denzel Washigntons, Michael B. The Rewind Ep. 29: ‘Trigger Warning’—Don’t Touch The ‘Glass’ [Video]

The Rewind Ep. 29 We’re back with another episode of “The Rewind!” The “Family Guy” Landon Levarius and “The Bully” DJ Franchise are giving you their unfiltered hot topic opinions. This time they’re debating M. Night Shyamalan’s “Glass.” The James McAvoy, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson thriller didn’t get the best reviews, but for some reason, DJ Franchise loved it. The “I gave this a solid 8, there’s a lot of things that I enjoyed about this movie,” said DJ Franchise. “Sarah Paulson who plays in “American Horror Story, she’s sick in this movie.” Landon, however, isn’t pleased and gives it a 5. They then move on to Killer Mike’s Netflix series “Trigger Warning.” The show follows Mike as he usees his revolutionary and sometimes controversial ideas to explore cultural taboos. It’s insightful and fun and Landon LOVES it. He gives it a 9. “Of course I love this series,” says Landon.”I thought it was moving the culture forward.” Franchise, however, gives it a 5 and points out that Mike isn’t staying true to his “black-owned” message by not wearing black made clothing brands. “The Rewind” Episode 24: Bye ‘Dummy Boy’–Who Wants Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Album?! [Video]

“The Rewind” Episode 24 This week on “The Rewind” the Family Guy Landon Lavarius and The Bully DJ Franchise kick off the new year discussing Tekashi 69’s “Dummy Boy” album. The album that dropped in November after the rapper was taken to jail STILL isn’t worth a listen according to Landon. “I really feel like you should check this album out on mute. I hated this album it’s like one minute he’s silent, the next he’s screaming in my ear. What are you mad about?! You’re rich. He’s watered down Uzi Vert.” They also talk Jay Ellis’ new film “Escape Room” that’s gotten mixed reviews.  In the thriller, strangers participate in an escape room game that quickly goes left. The Rewind Episode 22: Tis The Season—To Be J-Lo! [Video]

The Rewind Episode 22 Merry Chrimmuh! This week on a special Chrismas edition of “The Rewind ” Landon Lavarius and DJ Franchise talk J. Lo’s new movie. J. Lo’s starring in “Second Act” that hits theaters December 21, 2018, and unlike most critics Franchise and Landon actually enjoyed it giving it a solid 8 and 9 respectively, despite some criticism. “Franchise: There were only a couple things I didn’t like, I didn’t like the Disney feel. J.Lo should’ve been from the block. Landon: She hasn’t been on the block since P. Diddy. […] I give it a 9, it’s J. Lo’s best performance I’ve seen probably since “Enough” and it’ better than Selena to me, her performance in this movie.” Wait—better than Selena?! Watch “The Rewind” above to see if you agree. The Rewind Ep: 16: Mahershala Ali’s Motoring Through Jim Crow In ‘Green Book’ & Sade’s Back! [Video]

The Rewind Episode 16 On the latest episode of “The Rewind”  hosts Landon and DJ Franchise talk Mahershala Ali’s new movie Green Book. In it, Ali plays a famed pianist who has an Italian bodyguard played by Viggo Mortensen to protect him on a concert tour in the Deep South. Franchise LOVED the film and gave it a 10/10 even comparing it to Denzel’s portrayal of Malcolm X. “I’m a street bully when it comes to movies, I’m a street bully when it comes to music but […] this movie was tremendous and I really think people should check it out. I’m a big fan of Green Book,” said Franchise. They also discussed Sade “shining up her crown” for the track “The Big Unknown” from The Widows soundtrack before paying homage to the late, great Stan Lee. The Rewind Ep. 15: Teyana Taylor’s Album Proves She’s ‘Nobody’s Fool’ & You’re Gonna Love Her For It!

The Rewind Episode 15 On the latest episode of “The Rewind” , hosts Landon and DJ Franchise talk Teyana Taylor’s “Gonna Love Me” remix with Raekwon, Ghostface Killa, and Method Man that DJ Franchise “The Bully” can’t get enough of. Landon, however, is less than impressed considering that it comes with production from Kanye. On the flip side Landon LOVED Tyler Perry’s new film “Nobody’s Fool”—that Franchise says was absolutely horrible. “Tyler Perry keeps giving us this garbage, this trash. I don’t know why black people wanna go see this stupid a** movie. This movie was just horrible over all.” Ooop! Watch above, it’s THE REWIND!
