Suspects Identified In Viral Video Attack [VIDEO]

Atlanta police have identified the third suspect seen in a viral online video allegedly beating and kicking a 20-year-old gay man while shouting anti-gay slurs, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution . Arrest warrants are being sought for all three men. Brandon White was attacked Saturday in front of a corner market at 1029 McDaniel Street in the southwest Atlanta neighborhood of Pittsburgh by men identified as members of the 1029 Jack City Gang. Federal authorities are considering seeking federal hate crime charges against the suspects. Police have not released the alleged assailants’ names or their suspected whereabouts. Crime Stoppers is offering a $15,000 reward for information on the case. Anyone with information should call 404-577-8477. Photo courtesy of the AJC.com Asheley Jewell, the Stephenson High sophomore critically wounded in an apparent road-rage shooting, has begun speaking again, her family told the AJC on Tuesday. Jewell, 15, remains at Grady Memorial Hospital. As we previously reported, on March 5 Jewell was a passenger in a vehicle riding on Old National Highway when another car began chasing them. Shot were fired and Jewell was hit in the head. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477. The family has also set up a Facebook page, “Justice for Asheley Jewell.” Jewell is the daughter of Kandi Burruss’ late fiance, A.J. Photo courtesy of the AJC At a candlelight vigil on Saturday, the family of Asheley Jewell called on the public for help in finding the person who shot the 15-year-old Stephenson High sophomore, the AJC reports. Around 100 people attended a candlelight vigil and call to action Saturday evening to lend support to the family of Asheley Jewell, who as we previously reported was shot March 5 in an apparent road rage incident on Old National Highway. Jewell, a passenger in the car, remains in critical condition. Supporters at the rally vowed to distribute fliers saying “Justice for Asheley Jewell” and “Who shot Asheley?” Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477. None of the other passengers or the driver were injured. Jewell is the daughter of Kandi Burruss’ late fiance, A.J. Jewell, who died in 2009 after a fight outside the Body Tap strip club. “She is still technically listed as critical, but she does seem to recognize her mom’s voice, and she makes attempts to follow simple commands they give her, like to squeeze their hands,” her cousin, Ebony Phillips, told the AJC. “She can’t really do it physically but there’s a cognitive foundation they might be able to build on.” Friends and relatives will hold a candlelight vigil for Jewell on Saturday near the site of the shooting. Photo courtesy of the AJC The AJC is reporting that friends and relatives of Asheley Jewell, the 15-year-old critically wounded in an apparent road rage incident, will hold a candlelight vigil Saturday near the site of the shooting. As we previously reported, Jewell was shot in the head on Saturday evening on Old National Highway. Jewell, a Stephenson High School sophomore, is the daughter of Kandi Burruss’ late fiance, A.J. Jewell, who died in 2009 after a fight outside the Body Tap strip club. Police have said that two cars were traveling on Old National Highway near Jerome Road when one started chasing the other. Shots were fired and Jewell, a passenger in the car being chased, was struck. No one else was hurt. Jewell was rushed to Grady and underwent surgery. She remains clinging to life. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
