The story of a young girl sentenced to “life” in prison has been around since 2004, but it’s back on many people’s minds and we sincerely hope a change comes out of it. She was being sexually abused by a man she was living with who ordered her to get money from a man named Johnny Allen. She was afraid Allen would kill her so she shot him first. The prosecution argued that she shot him to steal from him.
