Ortega / Getty Rosario Dawson’s Ex-Employee Sues Her Family For Transphobic Attack A transgender man who used to work for Rosario Dawson has filed a lawsuit claiming that he was abused and attacked violently by her mother a fit of transphobic rage. According to TMZ , Dedrek Finley, formerly known as Deidre, says he moved from NYC to LA in 2017 at the request of Rosario’s mother Isabel. Dedrek had been a family friend for years but had not told the Dawsons that he was trans until he arrived in California. Dedrek says that Rosario’s family, namely Isabel, her husband Gregory, and brother Gustavo, weren’t really feeling the trans lifestyle and allegedly made jokes about him and used the incorrect pronouns. He claims that he repeatedly told Rosario but she didn’t do much to put an end to the abuse. He claims Rosario also engaged in transphobic abuse because when Dedrek complained, Rosario allegedly said, “You’re a grown woman.” He claims he corrected her, but she replied, “Whatever.” Dedrek was living rent-free in a guest house on Rosario’s property and was charged with doing renovations. After the relationship with the family went left, he was told he had to move out. Dedrek alleges that Isabel knocked on his door on April 28, 2018 to talk but when he refused she threaten to kill his cat. Isabel also allegedly ripped a screen off a window, pulled him out through it, and began to beat him screaming, “You’re not so much of a man now.” He says Rosario then yelled, “Mom, stop being petty.” He says he thought she was coming to his defense, but instead he claims Rosario helped pin him so her mother could continue the beatdown. Dedrek also claims that one of the women took his cell phone possibly to delete a video that he had of Isabel threatening him and to stop him from calling the cops. At some point the police were contacted and a restraining order was placed against Isabel. His lawsuit checks assault, battery, trespass, discrimination, civil rights and labor violations as grievances for which he is seeking damages. No word from Rosario’s people about these incidents. Cory Booker’s people have got to be SHOOK.
Source: WENN.com / WENN A screenwriter has filed a lawsuit against a number of entities over claims that the idea for What Men Want starring Taraji P. Henson was stolen from him. The screenwriter named Paramount Pictures, film producer Will Packer and BET in the suit. The Blast reports : He accuses the defendants of infringing on his copyright with their film “What Men Want”, which starred Henson. Carlini claims, “In 2014, Plaintiff began writing an original screenplay for a feature- length film along with David Collins (“Collins”), which had as its central plot point a woman obtaining the ability to hear men’s thoughts. By 2015, Plaintiff and Collins had written a complete draft of the screenplay, titled What The F Is He Thinking?” He continues, “Starting in 2015, Plaintiff and Collins began shopping What The F Is He Thinking? to various production companies, studios, financers and actors. Broadly construed, “shopping” involves the process of circulating and/or pitching a project to various production companies, studios and film financers for the purpose of securing production, financing, and/or distribution of the project. Efforts are also undertaken during the shopping process to attach key talent and/or a director to the project.” He adds, “During the shopping process, Plaintiff and Collins met with representatives of the following production companies and/or studios: Weinstein Company (now Lantern Entertainment), Montage Films, and Bloom. Plaintiff also spoke with potential talent, such as James Franco, Chris Pratt, King Bach, and Nick Swardson. The last meeting Plaintiff had with a studio representative was in July 2017, when he met with a representative from Bloom. At this meeting, Plaintiff provided the screenplay and business plan for What The F Is He Thinking? to the representatives. This was done in furtherance of facilitating a potential business relationship.” Joe Carlini says that although his pitch wasn’t picked up, the defendants named in the suit took his idea and presented to Henson and the producers. He is seeking unspecified damages. — Photo: WENN

Source: Star Tribune via Getty Images / Getty Li Xi Wang’s Family Files Lawsuit Against Chino Police The family of an unarmed man killed by police in Chino, California is taking action. Li Xi Wang’s family has filed a claim for damages against the police department after they saw he was unlawfully killed by authorities. CNN reports that the 49-year-old was shot dead July 3 while police served a search warrant in connection to an investigation of an illegal drug cultivation and trafficking operation. His family alleges that Wang, a Chinese immigrant who worked as a contractor and at a restaurant, did not speak any English and couldn’t have understood police demands and police “never established any form of effective communication” with anyone in the house. Authorities say they seized nearly 1,500 marijuana plants, $35,000 in cash and found evidence of grand theft in excess of $105,000, but no weapons. “He’s a single father, helping his son, he has an aging mom in China, and he did everything he can as a father, as a son, to take care of the family,” attorney Daniel Deng said in a news conference Wednesday according to CNN. He also pointed out that Wang took a job to cultivate marijuana after it was legalized. “He’s not a drug dealer, he’s not a smuggler. He’s just a simple worker trying to make a living by taking care of marijuana,” Deng said. Marijuana growers cannot possess and cultivate more than six living cannabis plants according to California law. Still despite that, shouldn’t police have much more important things to do than “marijuana raids”??? No word yet on how much Li Xi Wang’s family is suing for.

The lawsuit was filed in Philadelphia’s Court of Common Pleas and alleges that a former scout was abused hundreds of times starting at age 12 for a period of about five years in the 70’s by a former scout leader. The lawsuit also states that the Boy Scouts of America organization knew about the abuse and intentionally covered it up. The victim is seeking $50,000 in damages from both the Boy Scouts and the individual scoutmaster. The organization also claims to have gathered testimony from more than 800 sexual abuse victims identifying more than 300 predators protected by the Boy Scouts across the United States. The organization chose to file this suit now amid worries that victims may not be entitled to recovery if the Boy Scouts file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, a move the Boy Scouts of America has reportedly been considering. .
Source: Paras Griffin / Getty It’s been a while since we’ve conjured up Cynthia Bailey’s ex Peter Thomas and Kenya Moore’s ex, Matt Jordan, but it looks like they’re back in the spotlight, but not for the best reasons. A chauffeur named Anthony T. Greene who claims he was assaulted by Jordan, is seeking $25,000 in damages, plus the cost of attorney fees, and he’s coming for everyone including The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s production company (True Entertainment), Thomas, and of course Jordan, Bossip reports. Greene, who was hired by True Entertainment 2016, didn’t initially go through with pressing charges because the show’s producers talked him out of it. Sign Up For Our Newsletter! Email Submit If you recall, there was a wild scene that went down at the grand opening of Peter Thomas’ Club One in Charlotte, North Carolina, on season 9, episode 9, of RHOA, which premiered in 2017. After asking Moore to be the night’s MC, Thomas graciously paid for her and Jordan’s ticket so that they could be sure to attend the event. But right before the event, Jordan and Moore got into a heated confrontation. Moore then asked Thomas to cancel Jordan’s flight from Atlanta to Charlotte, but no one bothered to tell Jordan that he was uninvited. After showing up to the airport and discovering his ticket was cancelled, Jordan drove from Atlanta to Charlotte, arriving at the grand opening to everyone’s surprise. When Moore is alerted that Jordan is at the event, she immediately leaves and tries to exit with Greene driving. According to Moore, Jordan blocked her vehicle with his car in an attempt to get her attention. After approaching Moore’s vehicle, things get physical and he ultimately ends up hitting the chauffeur in the face before he exits the premises. But now, Greene, says he is owed for the physical and emotional stress from the incident. He claims that he had no prior knowledge of Moore and Jordan’s volatile relationship, and because he says the producers were aware that Jordan was on his way to Charlotte, he feels he wasn’t protected during that fateful night. After checking into a hospital the day after the confrontation, he discovered that he suffered from a concussion. Greene also says the aftereffects were so severe that he had to seek psychiatric therapy as a result. Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. Source: Allen Berezovsky / Getty Scottie Pippen Adds 5-Year-Old Girl To Lawsuit According to NBC , former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen has accused a young girl of defacing his Florida mansion with markers and crayons in a lawsuit he filed against the child’s parents. Pippen claims the girl, who was then 4 years old at the time, damaged “certain elements of the property” with coloring tools, adding that her parents, comedian Lindsay Glazer and Jacob Woloshin, had “responsibility for her conduct.” Pippen filed the suit in a Broward County court in 2018 alleging that Glazer and her husband destroyed his Fort Lauderdale home by causing more than $109,000 in damages. The couple moved into his house after theirs was damaged in September 2017 by Hurricane Irma. They all agreed that the couple would pay $30,000 a month for rent. Pippen had placed the home on the market, but agreed to let them stay only if they kept the property in “top show condition,” the lawsuit states. Pippen also alleged the couple allowed their pets (a dog and a cat) to “urinate throughout the home, thereby causing permanent stains and unsanitary conditions.” Pippen is demanding payment for damages, legal fees and other costs.
