Exclusive: Will You Be Wearing? Yandy Smith-Harris Launches “Yelle” Skincare Line

Reality Star To Drop “Yelle” Skincare Next Month “Love & Hip Hop: New York’s” Yandy Smith-Harris is sharing her beauty secrets with a new line of skincare products for “melanin-rich” complexions. The reality star has made her first foray into the beauty world with “Yelle,” her new line of organic, plant-based skincare products formulated specifically for women of color. Priced from $22 to $34, the “Yelle’s” product line includes items like “Milk & Honey Cleanser” and “Awakening Toner” through its website. Smith-Harris said she got the idea for “Yelle” when she broke out after starting to film “Love & Hip Hop.” “Between doing the show and having babies, my skin care regimen was just whatever I washed my body with, I washed my face with,” Smith-Harris told us. “And that’s kind of how it is in our community, and that’s a no-no.” She said she went to her mother, her girlfriends and the dermatologist – but to no avail. “That’s when I said I wanted to make something to work for women like me,” she said. “We think that black don’t crack, but that’s not the truth.” The mom of three said she spent two years working with chemists to formulate the line, which she said would deliver bright, moist, glowing skin. “We are very particular about the problems we have,” Smith-Harris said. “Right now, my goal is to educate women about taking care of their skin. We take care of our hair…we don’t take care of our skin the way we need to because we believe that black doesn’t crack.”

The Racists Syrup To Something: Black Woman Referred To As “Aunt Jemima” By Her Doctor

Getty Images A Doctor In Memphis Called His Black Patient “Aunt Jemima” And this dude got a PHD? Cuz he’s acting like a Pretty Huge D*** A woman in Memphis is filing a complaint against the state medical board after her doctor called her racially-charged names multiple times. Lexi Carter says she couldn’t believe that her dermatologist, Dr. James Turner, was calling her this, until he did it for a second time. Carter said, “he had a young girl — physician’s assistant trainee, a student — with him, and he looked at me and he goes, ‘Hi, Aunt Jemima.’” Here’s the kicker, the D-bag doctor even admitted to calling his patient this racially-charged reference, saying that it was all a misunderstanding. He issued this public apology: “Ms. Carter is one of our very dear patients and has been for years. She is one of many African American patients and I count it a privilege to be their doctor. Anything I said that tarnishes that image and my respect for her was a misspoken blunder on my part and was not intended to show disrespect for Ms. Carter. I am very sorry for that misunderstanding.” We don’t accept your apology, Dr. Turner. The fact that this man felt comfortable enough to repeatedly call poor Miss Carter “Aunt Jemima” multiple times is a travesty. Hopefully his “many African american patients” take their Black dollars somewhere else and stop supporting this horrible excuse for a professional.

Real Housewives Of Atlanta Star Cynthia Bailey Claps Back At Kenya Moore, “Who Are You And Where Is Your Dermatologist?”

Reality check at its finest… Cynthia Bailey Responds To Kenya Moore Real Housewives of Atlanta reality slore Kenya Moore recently blogged about Cynthia Bailey aT her modeling agency after both judged a JET modeling event where endless shade was thrown. Well, looks like Cynthia Bailey don’t play that mess… Via Bravo : I don’t really know Kenya, but we do have a few friends in common. However, that does not make us friends. A mutual friend connected us, and when we spoke on the phone, Kenya could have not been more kind and gracious. Even though I had heard that she was as crazy as a road lizard, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I pride myself on being the kind of woman that embraces other women and will give anybody a chance. In conversation, I mentioned to her that I had a JET casting coming up, and since she didn’t seem to busy doing anything else, I invited her to come and be a judge. She immediately jumped at the opportunity and could not thank me enough for the invite. Although we spoke on the phone, the JET casting was my first encounter with Kenya face to face. So let me refresh everybody’s memory of some of the things Miss USA had to say: Kenya : “I’m not trying to be the mean girl, but why are you here?” Cynthia : If you are not trying to be the mean girl, then don’t be. Just shut up and judge. That’s the only reason I invited you in the first place. To answer the second part of the question, the girl was at the OPEN CALL because it was exactly that, an OPEN CALL. That means all were welcome to come and try out. Better question? Why were you there, Kenya? I’m sure being such a big public figure, and a top actress/director/producer you had thousands of movie/TV jobs that you could have been working on. And let’s not forget your busy “butt” modeling schedule. Kenya : “Is this strip club Jet or regular Jet?” Cynthia : Is this strip club Kenya or regular Kenya? Kenya : “Why is Cynthia so comfortable, this is her agency, people are coming off the street looking a hot ass mess?” Cynthia : Why are you so comfortable to come into my place of business and act a hot ass mess? Kenya : “Couldn’t they stop at Target and get an appropriate swimsuit?” Cynthia : Couldn’t you have stopped at church and had an exorcism before you came to the audition? Kenya : “Who are you and why are you talking to me?” Cynthia : Who are you and where is your dermatologist? Well damn. Annnnnnnnnnnd BOOM goes the dynamite! Looks like it might a case of the Talls vs. Talls on this season of RHOA. What do you think of Kenya and Cynthia’s battle of the ex-model banger beef??
