Back in April, Kim Richards was arrested after drunkenly kicking a cop at the Beverly Hills Hotel. For a while, it looked like she might do prison time, particularly after Richards ditched rehab in order to attend her daughter’s wedding, and then failed to return to treatment. Today in an LA County courtroom, however, a judge took mercy on Kim and sentenced her to three years of probation, 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and 30 days of community service. The sentence originally required 30 days of community labor, which might’ve had Kim picking up trash on the side of the freeway. Kim’s lawyer argued that the 50-year-old reality star is unable to perform manual labor due to foot injury. The court gave her two weeks to provide medical documents to back up her claim. If she fails to do so, she might wind up rocking an orange jumpsuit along the 405. Kim was arrested for shoplifting from Target earlier this month. She has yet to stand trial for that allegation, so there might still be jail time in her future. The judge added one last stipulation before allowing Kim’s lawyers to enter their plea deal: She’s no longer allowed to set foot in the Beverly Hills Hotel. We think that’s probably for the best.
