Ain’t that a kick in the head? Man Taking Selfie Near Train Tracks Gets Kicked In The Head Via HuffPo reports: An April 15 YouTube entry purports to show a man taking a video selfie near train tracks — and paying the price. User Jared Michael posted the video with the description, “I tried to take a selfie while a train passed a ‘safe’ distance behind. I guess I was still too close and got kicked in the head. I messed up.” Many commenters tell Michael that he got what he deserved and questioned his loco motive. At least one noted the possibility that the footage is fake, wondering why he was taking a video selfie. Heavy.com wrote, “Curiously, it’s the only video on Michael’s channel — one of the factors that is leading to speculation that the video might be a hoax.” The Daily Dot, meanwhile, broke down the video into several frames to assess whether the clip is real. At least the dummy didn’t get ran over by the train! YT

BDR ain’t isht! Russell Simmons Apologizes For Harried Tubman Parody Russell Simmons is apologizing after coming under fire for a video that appeared on his new All Def Digital YouTube channel. Via USA Today reports: The “Harriet Tubman Sex Tape” depicts an actress portraying the famous abolitionist having sex with her “Massa” in order to allow her to run the Underground Railroad. The video has since been taken down. Simmons issued an apology on Globalgrind.com in which he says he was contacted by his “buddies” at the NAACP asking for removal of the video. “I’m a very liberal person with thick skin,” wrote Simmons. “My first impression of the Harriet Tubman piece was that it was about what one of actors said in the video, that 162 years later, there’s still tremendous injustice. And with Harriet Tubman outwitting the slave master? I thought it was politically correct. Silly me. I can now understand why so many people are upset. I have taken down the video. Lastly, I would never condone violence against women in any form, and for all of those I offended, I am sincerely sorry.” Youtube/Twitter

Whitney Houston Funeral Coverage: Sold to Benefit Bobbi Kristina

Based on her reaction to her mother’s death – a pair of hospitalizations and rumored drug use – it’s no surprise that the family of Whitney Houston is concerned over the emotional well-being of Bobbi Kristina Brown. But a rep for the family now confirms they are worried about her financial well-being, as well. On Saturday afternoon, The Associated Press provided a live feed of the funeral in Newark, one that was posted by countless websites (including THG). However, we were required to take down the video within 24 hours and this is why: The family has “agreed to license footage to several media outlets,” an insider tells TMZ, adding that the Houstons are charging “customary fees” to … “help maximize the estate for the benefit of Bobbi Kristina.” The ceremony lasted for a couple hours and included performances by Stevie Wonder (above), Alicia Keys, R. Kelly and a beautiful eulogy by Kevin Costner .
