The east coast iteration of the iconic music fest featured appearances from little-known, up-and-coming acts such as The OBGMs, culminating in appearances from industry heavy-hitters like Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, And Steve Aoki. Day One found festival goers grooving to the smooth sounds of Mayer Hawthorne and the classic Hip Hop of Big Daddy Kane: Then moving on to hits and social commentary from J. It’s hard to believe that G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation has become a legitimate summer tentpole from the time of its announcement to its first day of shooting, but that’s sorta what happened. Lots of that has to do with J.J. Abrams’s inability to get the ball rolling on Star Trek 2 in time for Paramount’s planned June 29, 2012 release date — resulting in Joe landing there — but with a cast featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson , Channing Tatum, Adrianne Palicki and possibly Bruce Willis , it has become hard to ignore G.I.
