‘Bout time! Donald Sterling Agrees To Sell The L.A. Clippers After a month-long battle with everyone from his estranged wife to the NBA , disgraced L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling has finally thrown in the towel and agreed to sell the team. via MSNBC News It’s official – Donald Sterling is selling the Clippers. An attorney on behalf of the embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner announced Wednesday Sterling and his estranged wife/co-owner Shelly Sterling reached a deal with the NBA to sell the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a record $2 billion plus various additional benefits. The NBA banned Sterling from the league for life and fined him $2.5 million after a recording released in April captured him making racist remarks about African-Americans. He might as well have given up the ghost since at this point, NO ONE was in favor of him remaining the owner of this team. Good riddance!
