Vanessa Hudgens is moving from the screen to the stage with a new role in the musical Rent . The High School Musical actress has been hotly tipped to take on the role of Mimi in the upcoming three-night only Hollywood run of Rent in Los Angeles. No other castings have been announced for the shows, which will run from August 6-8. Doogie Howser M.D . and How I Met Your Mother actor Neil Patrick Harris will direct the shows.
