Lady Gaga has a message for all Instagram followers: Your eyes are deceiving you. The 29-year-old artist took to Instagram this morning to share a photo of herself practicing hip exercises following surgery in 2013 to repair an injury she sustained on stage. But most eyes have been focused on a body part aside from Lady Gaga’s hips… look at that concave stomach! “Up early for hip exercise! I have to do these everyday to keep my hip strong, otherwise I have pain,” the singer wrote, perhaps anticipating some backlash and adding: “(fyi I’m not really that thin it’s just the strech! Trust me!).” Lady Gaga’s weight has often come under scrutiny, though she’s come under fire in the past for gaining weight. Earlier this month, in fact, chatter abounded about Lady Gaga being pregnant , to which the artist replied: “I’m getting a little older and many people think I’m pregnant but I tell them, ‘I’m just almost f–king 30.'” Gaga added at the time that she has gained a “little more here and there,” specifically citing her thighs. But she can’t be that insecure about her body, considering she’s been posting bikini pictures during her recent trip to the Bahamas.
