Celebrities Rush to Defense of Ricky Gervais

The president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association did not think Ricky Gervais was very funny at host of The Golden Globes on Sunday. But you know who did? Pretty much anyone with a sense of humor. Let’s take a look at the celebrities that have Tweeted/voiced their support for Gervais over the last few days: Golden Globes Intro Larry King : The folks who put him on the Globes have no right to complain about Ricky Gervais. He does what he does. Why should it surprise them? You agree? Elizabeth Banks : I thought RG was hilarious. Actors can take it. We have thick skins. Jon Stewart : [I’m] offended that a comedian could be that funny at an awards show. Damon Lindelof : In case you forgot what made David Brent so brilliant, it’s that he made us feel unsafe, uncomfortable and unable to look away. BRAVORICKY. Andrew Garfield : He’s been terribly nasty and horribly rude and I think he’s genius. Christian Bale : Thank God for comedians. I’m hoping he’s going to keep going further. Al Pacino : He’s a comic, so he’s going to go for it. He’s letting it go. You don’t know what [he’s] going to say! Do you think Gervais went too far at the ceremony?

Brooklyn Decker in Esquire: Rather Attractive

Brooklyn Decker opts for the tried and true “naked hot girl covered by a sheet while kneeling pose” on the cover of the new Esquire . She does well with it, too. It’s good to be Brook. Not only is she married to tennis star Andy Roddick, she made her film debut in the Adam Sandler phone-it-in wonder Just Go with It . On second thought, so did Heidi Montag . Never mind.
