When uptight critics dismiss HBO’s Game of Thrones for being “softcore porn for fanboys”, all Skin Central can say is “you guys have no idea.” For a fantasy show, Game of Thrones really goes the extra mile to add realism to their full-frontal flesh scenes (and the occasional doggie-style lesbian one) by hiring honest-to-god porn stars for whom simply stripping off and pretending to get it on is nothing. Three European porn stars have appeared on the show, but the only one with a major speaking role (so far) is Sibel Kekilli , a German actress of Turkish descent who appeared in hardcore porn before going mainstream with the award-winning drama Head-On (2004). Sibel plays former “camp follower” (that’s a prostitute, you guys) turned lady-in-waiting Shae.
