Tragedy has once again struck the world of reality television. Aaron Armstrong, the boyfriend of late Love Island cast member Sophie Gradon, was found dead this week at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth. According to the BBC, Armstrong passed away on Tuesday, mere hours after sharing an emotional social media post about Gradon. “just wish I could cuddle you all day miss you so much,” read Armstrong’s caption to the following Instagram image. “Sophie not a minute goes by with out your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind everyday we spent together was so amazing I need them days back. “I love you princess.” Based on this message, and based on no third party being involved, per a Northumbria Police spokesperson, many believe that Armstrong took his own life. No cause of death has been confirmed, however. It’s important to note that suicide is a mere speculation right now. After Gradon’s funeral five days ago, Armstrong posted a picture of the order of service with a caption that read: “I love you with all my heart my beautiful angel I’m absolutely heartbroken I can’t stop crying.” Gradon, 32, a former Miss Great Britain, was found dead at her family house on June 20. She was well known in Great Britain for her 2016 appearance on Love Island, a program that features several single people dropped onto an island and tasked with finding love. Many associated with the series reacted to this stunning and sad news as follows: Similarly, in regard to Armstrong, former Love Island star Katie Salmon penned a tribute on Twitter: “Aaron. I hope you have reunited with your love sophie. And I truly hope you fly high together. Thinking of his family and friends.” And Rykard Jenkins added: “So sad to now hear about Aaron’s passing. May you both rest in paradise.” The day after Sophie died, meanwhile, Armstrong posted the following selfie on Facebook and wrote along with it: “I will never forget that smile I love you so so much baby your my world forever ever and always.” On July 3, he shared his final Facebook post. It was also in honor of Gradon and this is what it said: So I get into bed and all I can smell is Sophie on her side of the bed put my arm under the pillow and find this please everyone share this she wanted me to act on this what her video and u will understand how much it hurts people… I’m going to do everything I can to keep this going and stop it brake my heart I love you so much Sophie I will keep fighting for you. May Armstrong rest in peace. View Slideshow: 28 Reality Stars Who Died Way Too Young
So this is an interesting development. You know how Ryan Edwards has a whole, whole lot going on in his life right now? Maci Bookout just revealed on Teen Mom OG something that fans have been speculating about for a long, long time now: he’s in the midst of a nasty battle with drug addiction . On the show, she said that things were so bad that she was scared that he’d end up dead if he didn’t get help. But now we know that he is getting help: a new report we discussed just earlier today explains that he’s in rehab , and he’s been there for two weeks now. And now we’re learning that just before he went to rehab, he got married. Feel free to take a moment to process all this, we know it’s a lot. Ryan married his fiancée of six months, Mackenzie Standifer, in Hamilton County, Tennessee on May 15th. It was a religious ceremony officiated by a minister, and right now those are the only details we know about the wedding. As we’ve seen on Teen Mom OG, Ryan and Mackenzie had been looking around for venues and planning a big wedding for this fall. In a registry the couple made , the original wedding date was listed as November 18th. But obviously they decided to move things ahead a bit. Considering the facts of the situation — the wedding was moved up so fast with little notice, it was held on a Monday, Ryan was on drugs at the time — it couldn’t have been a big affair. And honestly, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Why would Ryan get married immediately before going to rehab? If he’s already been in treatment for two weeks, he would have to have left a few days, at most, after the wedding. Why not wait until he was clean, especially if they’d already been planning something together? It’s hard to say, and it looks like we won’t be getting any information from Mackenzie: as of this morning, she’s made all of her social media accounts private. Another strange thing is that Mackenzie filed for divorce from her first husband last July — less than a year ago. The divorce was finalized days before Ryan proposed , and now she’s on her second marriage at the tender age of 20. Additionally, we learned yesterday that Ryan’s drug addiction may be affecting the custody arrangement for her three-year-old son, Hudson. It’s all just very, very curious. Whatever the reason for the rushed wedding, we wish Ryan and Mackenzie a lifetime of happiness and, especially for Ryan, good health. What a roller coaster.
Ariana Grande and a handful of her very famous friends did not let the terrorists win on Sunday night. A week after a suicide bomber killed 22 concert attendees in Manchester, and mere hours after another terrorist murdered seven people in London, Grande returned to Great Britain for an event titled ” Love Manchester. ” Despite this new attack and the severe threat level in the area, Grande’s manager Scooter Braun and the Greater Manchester Police had stated that the show would go on as a message of resilience in the face of such hatred. The concert offered free tickets to anyone who attended Grande's show last Monday, while proceeds raised by the event went to families of the victims from that concert. It was expected to raise around $2.6 million. From Coldplay to Miley Cyrus to Katy Perry and Justin Bieber, the tribute concert was filled with one emotional performance after another. But Grande herself closed the special event in particularly sentimental fashion. The 23-year-old – who took to the stage multiple times throughout the three-hour show at the Emirates Old Trafford Stadium – concluded the show solo, belting out a version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” It was an emotional time for the artist, who just days earlier had visited some of the victims of the mass murder as they recovered in the hospital. She also spoke during the show about meeting the mother of one of the Manchester victims, 15-year old Olivia Campbell. “As soon as I met her I started crying and I gave her a big hug and she said I should stop crying because Olivia would have wanted me to stop crying,” Grande told the crowd as she fought back tears, adding: “And she said Olivia would have wanted to hear the hits.” All money earned from the concert are going to the Red Cross’ Manchester Emergency Fund to assist victims of the attack and their families. An online shop has also been set up with T-shirts, hats and more merchandise. Considering the speed with which this event was put together, and the big names involved, it was quite the impressive achievement. Watch Grande wrap up the unique concert below:
A 22-year-old native of Great Britain has been identified as the suicide bomber who killed 22 people and injured 59 others at Manchester Arena on Monday night. His name is Salman Abedi. Mourners gather in Britain to pay their respects to those who died in the bombing. According to The New York Times and other outlets, Salman Abedi resided in a house just three-and-a-half miles from the venue, which was holding an Ariana Grande concert when the terrorist act was carried out. Police have confirmed that Abedi detonated his explosive just as the concert ended, as thousands of young fans were exiting the arena and heading for the adjacent train station As of this writing, 22 people are reported dead as a result of the blast, while 59 are seriously injured. One victim was an 18-year old girl and one was an eight-year old . Because Grande is especially popular among this young demographic, a significant number of those killed or wounded were teenagers or children. At a late afternoon news conference, Chief Constable Ian Hopkins of the Greater Manchester Police named Abedi as the bomber and added that he died in the blast. A man creates a heart symbol with his hands in front of Nelson’s Column during a vigil for the victims of the Manchester Arena terror attack in Trafalgar Square. Abedi was reportedly known to British authorities prior to this incident. Details on such sensitive information are understandably scarce at the moment, but he was recognized as a potential terrorist before blowing him and many others up on Monday. Abedi was registered as living in a Manchester house where police set off a controlled explosion Tuesday, the Associated Press reported, citing voting records. He was born in Great Britain in 1994 to parents who came to the country from Libya, according to an official who spoke to The New York Times. “The priority remains to establish whether he was acting alone or as part of a network,” Chief Constable Hopkins said as part of a longer statement while addressing the press today. Here’s a look at excerpts from that exchange: Earlier in the day, ISIS issued its claim of responsibility for the fatal act in a brief, generic statement that did not identify the bomber and appeared to get a few of the facts wrong. It alleged a “caliphate soldier managed to place a number of devices among a gathering of crusaders in Manchester, and detonated them.” That is not what actually transpired, but the bottom line is that this explosion marked the deadliest mass killing in Great Britain since the 2005 London subway bombings, which left 52 people dead. As for how officials feel confident that was behind the attack? His ID was found at the scene of the bombing, according to a law enforcement official, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the investigation remains underway. Abedi lived with his family and “didn’t really speak to anyone,” a neighbor tells The New York Times, adding that he seemed “nice” if you wandered past him. Police have also arrested a 23-year-old as part of their investigation into what happened. Reaction to the heinous act continues to come in, from all corners of the world. Donald Trump has referred to the perpetrators as “losers,” while Grande simply said she was “broken” on Twitter. British Prime Minister Theresa May called the explosion “a callous terror attack” and said it was “among the worst terrorist incidents we have ever experienced in the United Kingdom.” She added: “This attack stands out for its appalling, sickening cowardice, deliberately targeting innocent, defenseless children and young people.” We continue to pray for all affected and we’ll continue to update the site with more news as it breaks. May all the victims rest in peace.
