Mariah Carey Rushed To The Hospital With The Flu Mariah Carey is hooked up to IVs in a NYC hospital after falling severely ill with the flu this morning. According to TMZ Mariah is getting pumped full of fluids and vitamins to fight off a nasty bout of the flu. The singer was so dehydrated and ill her handlers rushed her to the hospital for emergency treatment. She started feeling bad after an appearance at Pier 1 in NYC on Tuesday evening. There was extra concern about her health because she has a nig show this Saturday night at Hot 97’s “Hot for the Holidays” concert in New Jersey. But have no fear, folks! Sources close to the singer say she’s going to be fine, and could be released later today. Get well!!! WENN/Getty

A necklace… James Packer Gives Mariah Carey A $500,000 Necklace Billionaire James Packer is apparently enamored with Mariah Carey, so much so that he gifted his songstress girlfriend with a $500,00 necklace. The Daily Mail reports: The 45-year-old singer once again wore the half-million dollar yellow diamond heart pendant gifted to her by her billionaire boyfriend James Packer. Mariah doesn’t not seem to have stopped smiling since she first hooked up with the Australian businessman. And on Thursday her grin certainly didn’t dissipate when she posted a picture of herself to Instagram wearing the 18-karat bling. The 47-year-old gave it to her just before she took to the stage for her performance at Caesars Palace Colosseum on Wednesday night. She was so delighted she even dedicated her hit song Hero to her beau during the gig. ‘I have a new heart tonight,’ she told the crowd as they whooped and cheered. ‘James is in my heart tonight.’ On Saturday night the diva hit the Disick-hosted party at 1OAK without her man – but with his gift still holding pride of place very close to her heart. You might think you had an eventful Father’s Day weekend, but as usual, there’s so much going in on Mariah Land that it’s nearly impossible to keep up Here’s a rundown of the latest developments in Ms. Carey’s life: As you may have heard, Mariah is starting up a Vegas residency soon, but before she heads off to that desert paradise for semi-retired pop stars, the girl plans to do spend some quality time with her kids…and her new boyfriend. Yes, just five months after her divorce from Nick Cannon was finalized, Mariah is reportedly involved with an Australian billionaire named James Packer. Sources say Mariah and James spent the weekend partying on his yachts. Yes, that’s yachts plural. As though that’s not a sure enough sign that Mariah is over her ex, she posted the below photo of twins Moroccan and Monroe giving Nick a Father’s Day shout-out. Take note: Nothing says “I’m over your ass” like publicly being super nice to your ex. So to recap: Mariah has a new dude; she’s officially moved on from her marriage; she’s about to move to Vegas; and best of all, she’ll soon be starring in those awful Game of War commercials . While rumors swirled that the songstress had begun making sweet swirly music with her longtime friend and collaborator Brett Ratner …it turns out he was actually playing matchmaker for MiMi and linking her up with her new love interest . Via TMZ : Mariah Carey has got a new boyfriend, TMZ has learned, a billionaire who’s the 4th wealthiest person down under. The guy is James Packer, a 47-year-old entertainment mogul who sold a media company and now owns a string of hotels and casinos around Australia and other countries. He’s worth an estimated $4.6 billion, according to Forbes. We got this pic of Mariah and James taken Friday in Capri, Italy. They’re staying on Packer’s yacht and we’re told they’ll be on the boat for “an extended vacation.” After Capri, it’s on to Cannes and St. Tropez. As for how they met … Brett Ratner.
