Steve Harvey Asked To Host Miss Universe Again Next Year Steve Harvey has been getting relentlessly roasted in the days since announcing the wrong Miss Universe winner on live television over the weekend. But as much as Steve has become the butt of millions of memes and jokes and even the subject of racial taunting, his little ratings boost blunder may have translated into more money in the bank for the slandered comedian. The Miss Universe organization has actually asked Steve to host the pageant again next year. Via Deadspin : Steve Harvey has gotten an invitation to return as the host of the Miss Universe pageant next year, despite Sunday’s snafu in which he announced the wrong winner. In an interview today on Jim Rome’s CBS Sports Radio show, Mark Shapiro, Chief Content Officer at WME|IMG, said the Family Feud host was “very remorseful” about the error and that Harvey was “absolutely” welcome back to host the 2016 pageant. Shapiro said Harvey “did a great job. He was funny, he was informative, he’s high energy, he’s got a great following… I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself.” In fact, the Belize tourism board even specifically invited him to come redeem himself at their Costa Maya Festival in the upcoming months: Interesting that Belize seems so welcoming when a good chunk of the Latin American community is still coming for Steve’s throat right now… It will be interesting to see how this pans out next year. Rumor has it that ever since the Kardashians had an unwelcome intruder stroll into the front door, Kris is keeping tight control on who comes in and out of her house to see Kimmy and the kiddies. According to an insider, she’s also using this as an excuse to get under Caitlyn’s skin by blocking her from coming on the property to see her newest grandson. Via RadarOnline : Kris Jenner has made it crystal clear that her ex is not welcome around their new grandson ! According to a source, Kris, 60, continues to find any way she can to twist the knife with Caitlyn Jenner — but this time she’s hitting the 66-year-old Olympian champ below the belt by banning her from seeing Kim Kardashian‘s brand new baby boy, Saint West. “Kris is the gatekeeper on Kim’s behalf when it comes to appointment times with the baby,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “She’s in charge of who comes and goes.” Unfortunately, continued the source, “As far as Kris is concerned Caitlyn has no business being at Kim’s bedside.” Controlling Kris, noted the source, just “wants the entire family to move on and put Caitlyn behind them.” Kris’s focus on cutting Caitlyn out has put Kardashian, 35, in an uncomfortable position. However, “Ultimately, Kim’s mom will always come first and Kris has really put her foot down,” said the source. “She does not want Caitlyn cooing over Saint, especially if there are cameras in tow.” Seems silly. Surely Kris has control over who comes in her house, but not over who Kim’s kid can and cannot meet. Kris Jenner “Embarrassed” By Caitlyn’s Transition Kris Jenner may seem relatively cool with Caitlyn Jenner’s emergence as a woman, but behind the scenes she is apparently none-too-pleased about the new and improved ‘Cait.’ Kris’ sister, Karen Houghton, has come forward to let people know that even though Kris is doing her best to appear unbothered, Caitlyn’s transition has taken a toll and embarrassed her deeply. As she told Britain’s Heat Magazine : “Of course we all love Caitlyn but I felt so bad for Kris, she was so hurt and is still coming to terms with it. Kris and Bruce had the happiest marriage. Kris doesn’t talk about it much because she finds it embarrassing – I think she’s hurt more than anything. My sister is a genius at marketing so she’s very good at hiding her feelings. Kris doesn’t want the world to think her life is falling apart. She talked to our mom about it a lot. I just ask her if she’s OK. I don’t want to upset her. I pray for her because it’s hard.” Karen admits that the entire thing came as a shock to everyone, but as far as she’s concerned Bruce is still Bruce, and knowing how good a person he is, things will shake out in the end. “This is something none of us dreamed would happen, but now only time will tell what happens next. To me he’ll always be Bruce, even his voice is still Bruce. We spent every Christmas, Easter and birthday with him and the family. He helped raise my daughter. He is a great man. We love Bruce so much. He did a very brave thing. If it makes him happy, then it’s good.” You mean to tell us that Kris’ response to Caitlyn’s transition is all well-rehearsed spin??? We’re sooooo shocked. Seriously, who could really blame her for feeling some type of way about Bruce switching the style up on her like that?
