Kyle Richards Offers Advice to Barack Obama

Kyle Richards did not tune in for Brandi Glanville’s debut on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills last night. Instead, this show star was actually included among 800 guests at a House of Blues fundraiser for Barack Obama in Los Angeles. With the economy floundering and unemployment unable to drop below 9 percent, what pressing concerns did Richards hope to address with the commander-in-chief? “I’m going to ask our President if he can do anything about my favorite lip gloss that was discontinued,” Kyle Tweeted, likely in jest “[Or] maybe I will give him my suggestions for the deficit…JUST PRINT MORE MONEY.” Later on in the night, Andy Cohen recounted the meeting between Obama, Kyle and her husband, telling viewers he asked Richards what she and the President discussed. The reality star said Obama asked what show she was on and she replied: “I’m embarrassed to tell you, but Real Housewives of Beverly Hills .” Well, at least she’s embarrassed. [Photos: WENN.com]

Prince Michael Jackson to Testify in Dr. Conrad Murray Trial if Asked

Michael Jackson’s eldest son Prince will very likely be asked to testify at the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, which begins today in L.A. An eyewitness to the horrific scene in the bedroom where his father lost his life in 2009, the 14-year-old does not want to testify, but will do what he must. According to a TMZ report, Prince is telling family that if he’s called to the stand, he’ll do what needs to be done in the name of justice for his late father. That said, he’s not exactly looking forward to it. Prince is “nervous” and worried that if he’s called to the stand, he might get flustered and “mess up.” If Prince, who is on the prosecution’s witness list, is called by prosecutors, his grandma and guardian, Katherine, will ask her lawyers to protect him . Not to bar him from testifying, but to request that the entire courtroom be cleared during his testimony. That wouldn’t be unprecedented for minors. Judge Michael Pastor will likely prohibit the media from putting Prince on camera and traumatizing him further, but may not clear the court altogether. Prince is on the witness list because Dr. Murray summoned Prince Michael Jackson to MJ’s bedroom for help during the fateful morning in June 2009. Opening statements in Murray’s trial begin today. Teresa Giudice Cast on Celebrity Apprentice

Likely billed by Donald Trump as THE BEST hiring in the history of reality television, Teresa Giudice has been cast on the new season of Celebrity Apprentice. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star will compete against a slew of other Z-listers and donate any winnings she earns from the show to charity, a fact someone might not have relayed to Teresa. She isn’t the first individual from this nauseating franchise to be cast on the NBC competition, either. NeNe Leakes made many headlines last season for clashing frequently with Star Jones . The new season of Celebrity Apprentice will likely premiere in early 2012. WE won’t be watching.

Ted Stevens Killed in Plane Crash

From Levi Johnston running for Mayor of Wasilla to Sarah Palin being put in her place in Homer, we’ve covered more Alaska political stories today than you’d expect. Sadly, our third article is tragic: Former U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens has died. The 86-year-old political legend and eight others were aboard an aircraft that crashed in southern Alaska last night. Five others are also believed killed. “The family has been notified that Senator Stevens did not survive the crash,” family spokesman Mitch Rose said in response to the tragedy Tuesday. The flight apparently was hampered by rainy and foggy weather in an area of mountains and lakes north of Bristol Bay, according to news reports. Stevens was the longest-serving Republican senator ever until he lost his bid for a seventh term in 2008 after he was found guilty of corruption. R.I.P. Ted Stevens (1923-2010). The case was later dismissed on account of prosecutorial misconduct, but only after the votes had been tallied. Affectionately referred to as “Uncle Ted” by his constituents, the influential politico was equally known for his volatile temper. His corruption trial was primarily sparked by his championing of the infamous “Bridge to Nowhere,” a $400-million pork transportation project designed to connect two remote Alaskan islands – and which Palin notably renounced. Stevens’ first wife, Ann, died in a plane crash in 1978 at Anchorage International Airport, later renamed Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Remarrying in 1980, the Alaskan is survived by his second wife, Catherine, and their daughter, Lily. Three sons – Ben, Walter and Ted – and two daughters – Susan and Beth – survive from his first marriage. May he rest in peace.

Lynne Curtin Confirms Departure from The Real Housewives of Orange County

Lynne Curtin will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Orange County next season. The facelifted reality star confirmed this news herself on Facebook today, writing: “Rumor has it that I will not be returning for ‘season 6.’ That rumor is true! “I am broken hearted! I was so let down the way this came about! We were the last to know! I guess Bravo has to do what they have to do! I thought we had a great relationship! I guess I was wrong! Its funny how fast offers came to us from other places! Thats how we found out we were not returning! Funny how life can be!” Sources say Curtin may have been let go due to her over-use of exclamation points. Season six of this Bravo series will likely premiere in January. New cast member Peggy Tanous will take Curtin’s place on it. Try to hold back those tears, fans.
