19 Real Housewives Who Only Lasted One Season

They can't all be Bethanys and Vickis.   While The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Miami, New Jersey, Orange County, Potomac (?) and New York (RIP, D.C.) catapulted some women into superstardom and/or infamy, others sort of came in with a whimper and were quietly shown the door at season's end. It's easy to forget who was part of the Bravo's greatest legacy, so The Hollywood Gossip has created a refresher course. You're welcome. 1. Jules Wainstein Wainstein was excited to join season eight of ‘The Real Housewives of New York’ before it premiered, but when her marriage fell apart and she filed for divorce in June 2016, Wainstein decided to focus on her family instead of returning to the franchise. 2. Larsa Pippen Pippen is one of Kim Kardashian’s closest friends, but even that claim to fame couldn’t keep her on ‘The Real Housewives of Miami.’ Pippen was a bit too normal for Bravo’s liking, so she only starred in season one before getting the boot. 3. Claudia Jordan Jordan was an actress before joining season 9 of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ and found herself in hot water for accidentally confirming that Jamie Foxx (with whom she’s worked) and Katie Holmes were dating in the summer of 2016. Jordan batracked and denied she knew anything about the couple. “A lot of times, I get asked questions about celebrities — some I know, some I don’t — a lot of times we just give a safe kind of generic answer,” Jordan told Entertainment Tonight. “Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them.” 4. Cristy Rice Rice divorced NBA star Greg Rice around the time that ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ had premiered in 2011. After lasting only one season, celeb gossip site The Dirty alleged that Rice was having an affair with Teo Hoffman, a wealthy Mormon business man with a family of his own. 5. Lydia McLaughlin Sweet, doe-eyed McLaughlin lasted all of one season ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ before voluntarily leaving. “I remember sitting on the couch [during the reunion special], having nothing to do with the conflict or the drama, but feeling so sad,” McLaughlin wrote in her 2015 book, ‘Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide to Faith and Happiness.’ “I sensed the Holy Spirit inside me saying, ‘You don’t have to be here.’ So I stood up and walked off set.” 6. Kathryn Edwards Edwards confirmed she was leaving ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ after just one season. Whether it was Bravo’s decision or hers, Edwards told People Magaizne that she walked away from the experience “with great feelings,” and no regrets. “It was definitely an adventure for me,” Edwards said. “I really am kind of a private person. It really just comes down to the time and what I value the most. I value those times with my husband and our friends. And I really didn’t want to miss another year. It’s nice to be able to live life.” View Slideshow

Alexis Bellino Threatens to Sue Tamra Barney Over Attacks on Religion

The claws have come out between Alexis Bellino, her husband Jim and Tamra Barney. The legal claws, that is. Days after The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion special, Alexis and Jim have released a statement in which they threaten to sue their castmate over recent remarks, most notably her insistence on referring to Alexis as “Jesus Jugs.” ” The Real Housewives of Orange County is a reality show that is meant to entertain and engage audiences with the lives of its cast members. We recognize that the personalities, drama and conflict of the show attract fans to the popular Bravo reality series,” the Bellinos said to Us Weekly . “Unfortunately, some cast members use the show as a platform for personal attacks and character assassination, perhaps out of personal insecurity or simply to inflict pain. To the extent possible, we try to ignore this behavior. “This vicious and malicious attack on our family will no longer be tolerated. We have continually tried to take the high road, however, if necessary, we are prepared to defend ourselves against these unfounded, slanderous and defamatory remarks to the fullest extent of the law.” Barney isn’t likely to back down, however. She recently went off to Rumor Fix about Alexis and her hypocritical lifestyle. “Unlike Alexis, I don’t need to hide behind the Jesus curtain and I don’t feel the need to preach. When someone is constantly preaching about something they are lying! Alexis and Jim are faux Christians, like her ring. Does she think Jesus would be proud of her for judging me as a Christian, and the crosses in my house? Jim Bellino used to take Peggy Tanous to strip clubs after church when they were dating!” While it’s possible Bellino won’t even return to Bravo next season, one thing is for certain for now: It. Is. On. CHOOSE A SIDE IN THIS FEUD:

Vicki Gunvalson Previews New Season of The Real Housewives of Orange County

The Real Housewives of Orange County return tomorrow night. What can viewers expect from the cast that kicked off this Bravo franchise? Referring to new co-stars Peggy Tanous and Fernanda Rocha , Vicki Gunvalson tells TV Guide: “Each time we get a new cast member, I open my arms and I don’t have preconceived notions about them, I just hope we can all get along and that was the case this year. It was just a good blend and a good fit and I was really excited about that. No drama on that end from me, so that was good. There may be some with the other girls, but I stood clear of it.” Will Gunvalson still be feuding with Tamra? She says : “I’m her friend, I love her and I want the best for her. She’s in a great place now and she’s extremely happy and that you’ll see this season… I knew Tamra was in a tough place. She had Simon telling her that it was my fault. I knew it wasn’t. I had nothing to do with their marriage woes.” And Vicki’s take on Alexis Bellino? “I’ve got nothing against Alexis. I think she’s very sweet, but I think she’s always ready to pick a fight and I’m not. She’s always trying to prove a point with me or prove she’s a businesswoman; it’s like, ‘Good for you.’ I don’t want to cause a fight. She’s just a little bit harder to get along with. She brings dirt up a lot. I don’t want to be around that. She’s just somebody I work with and that’s about it.”

Peggy Tanous: Ready for Real Housewives of Orange County Drama!

Peggy Tanous describes herself as the “life of the party,” but it hasn’t always been that way. The new Real Housewives of Orange County cast member says she was partly inspired to join the show because she saw it as an opportunity to recover from postpartum depression, something she battled after the birth of daughters London, 3, and Capri, 1 1/2. “It was kind of a perfect way for me to kind of get me back in the swing of things but not take me away from my family too much,” says Tanous, who is friends with Alexis Bellino. While Tanous tells Us Weekly she has a “strong personality,” she also insists that she gets along with her fellow stuck-up cast members. “I didn’t clash with anyone! Tamara [Barney] and I hit it off the most. She’s got a daughter a couple years older than London and our personalities are alike. She’s really funny and she jokes around a lot and so do I.” The Real Housewives of Orange County returns to Bravo on March 6.

Lynne Curtin Confirms Departure from The Real Housewives of Orange County

Lynne Curtin will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Orange County next season. The facelifted reality star confirmed this news herself on Facebook today, writing: “Rumor has it that I will not be returning for ‘season 6.’ That rumor is true! “I am broken hearted! I was so let down the way this came about! We were the last to know! I guess Bravo has to do what they have to do! I thought we had a great relationship! I guess I was wrong! Its funny how fast offers came to us from other places! Thats how we found out we were not returning! Funny how life can be!” Sources say Curtin may have been let go due to her over-use of exclamation points. Season six of this Bravo series will likely premiere in January. New cast member Peggy Tanous will take Curtin’s place on it. Try to hold back those tears, fans.
