The news we all knew was coming has arrived. Of course we aren’t happy about it, but we knew it was going to happen. Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs have reportedly pulled the plug and called off their wedding!! According to Life and Style Magazine, Pattinson and Twigs have “been on the outs” for quite some time. The unraveling of their relationship began when Pattinson started filming The Lost City of Z . Rumors claim Robert and FKA officially broke up yesterday, October 28. A source told the magazine, “FKA called Rob on his first day of filming to tell him that she couldn’t visit because of her busy schedule.” “[He] let her know he wasn’t happy about it,” and FKA allegedly “lost her temper,” and “yelled at him to stop complaining and hung up on him,” the source dished. The fight didn’t settle well for either Pattinson or FKA. As a result, the disagreement carried on for weeks. Allegedly, the couple “went into a long period of not speaking to each other.” Between the fight and the cold shoulder treatment, they decided it was time to break up. The couple has been together since August 2014, and Robert is devastated over the breakup. However, Robert’s family is far from heartbroken. According to the source, “They don’t think she’s right for Rob.” This is certainly no surprise. Robert’s family did not approve of Twigs from the start. In January of this year, a source told Radar Online, “Although they are happy for their son, they were actually quite disapproving. The Pattinsons are a very traditional family and they thought [Twigs] was a very sweet girl, just not the one they want for their son to end up with.” It’s unclear at this time how Twigs feels. But we can assume she is having a rough time. Just recently she exposed her desires for marriage and motherhood: In an interview with Paper Magazine, she said, “I’m quite traditional. You know that saying, ‘You can take the girl out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl’? I grew up in Gloucestershire, and there’s a certain format that people fit into.” “I’m actually quite happy with the format. I’m quite happy to say, ‘Go to school, work hard on your GCSEs, do your A-Levels, get married, have children. Send your kids to a nice school. Make sure you’re in the right catchment area,’” she said sentimentally. Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard this rumor. In August, reports claimed Robert and FKA broke u p. Robert Pattinson is a busy man these days. He’s filming a new movie. He’s planning his wedding to FKA Twigs . And he’s growing out a seriously impressive beard. But that doesn’t mean the former Twilight Saga stud doesn’t have time for his fans. The beloved star, in fact, struck a couple of random poses with fans recently as part of shooting the film The Lost City of Z in Ireland. First, one young woman shared an Instagram photo of herself sitting next to Pattinson on a plane, divulging via caption what Robert is like by writing “shy and quiet but really nice.” Sounds a lot like the Robert Pattinson we’ve heard about, doesn’t it? The same woman also went a bit bananas over the unexpected meeting, adding on her social media account: “Shut the front door!! Robert Pattinson on the plane!! “#robertpattinson #twilight #everyteenagegirlsdream #fangirl #belfasttolondon #rpatz #justyouraverageplanejourney.” Second, a second woman found herself sandwiched between Pattinson his Lost City of Z co-star Charlie Hunnam on a street in Belfast, making every female in the world jealous and writing along with her picture: “In BELFAST hanging with [‘SONS OF ANARCHY’] Charlie Hunnam and TWILIGHT Robert Pattinson!!! Robert Pattinson Buys FKA Twigs A Ring Robert Pattinson has reportedly already put a rock on FKA Twig’s finger, only about 8 months into their relationship. So will we be hearing the sound of electro trip-hop alternative-r&B wedding bells pretty soon? Apparently not quite yet. Rob bought a ring for FKA this past December…but it was more of a “promise ring” than anything else. So essentially they are engaged to be engaged. Even though they’ve only been dating since last August, they’ve been joined at the hip — each has already met the fam and they’ve melded their friend groups. Sources say Rob could pop the question as early as this summer, after FKA Twigs (real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett) wraps up her international tour and Rob finishes a few of his own projects. Awwww, how cute. They’d make some cute little British kids, wouldn’t they?
