According to Popeater.com , Oprah feels a little pressure from her OWN Network and the struggle to secure viewers that she doesn’t want to do anything that might hurt her chances in getting potential viewers.  The insider stated: “Unlike in 2008, when a drop in ratings didn’t matter as much for the queen of TV, Oprah is now fighting every day to get people to tune into OWN. Helping a friend keep the most important job in the world is great, but making sure her OWN network thrives is now her priority.” The “Oprah Show” dropped in ratings in 2008 after she announced that she was backing then Illinois senator Barack Obama. These ratings showed that her audience had fallen by about 2 million viewers since 2005.  Now with OWN’s ratings not being extremely high, the company reportedly doesn’t want to take any chances in losing any of the viewers they currently have. Selena Gomez Starstruck By Shakira On ‘Wizards Of Waverly Place’

‘I wasn’t even about to attempt her dance moves,’ Selena Gomez joked about Shakira’s cameo. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Selena Gomez Photo: MTV News Selena Gomez is growing up. And the same can be said of her onscreen persona on “Wizards of Waverly Place,” Alex Russo. Gomez revealed that as the show progresses, it only makes sense to have the tone of the show itself grow up a little bit. ” ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ is getting much more mature in terms of our comedy, [but] we are still keeping the youthfulness of our characters,” she told MTV News. “I just feel like we’re all kind of growing, so the characters are evolving.” And the more mature comedy on the show isn’t the only thing that Gomez is looking forward to. “As far as anything else exciting coming up, we have a couple of episodes … we have the Shakira episode coming up,” she said, adding, “And I think we have another hour-long special as well.” While she didn’t reveal much about the plot of the episode starring Shakira, she does say that the two will share a duet. But if you want to know what song they sing together, you’ll have to tune in. “The Shakira episode was so much fun. I’m not sure I can reveal too much. I just know that she had a very big part in it and I was just starstruck the entire time,” she said. “I also felt like I needed to work out after I was next to her because she’s gorgeous. She was really nice and she was really funny. So the role was her playing herself, obviously, and I got to sing a song with her as well.” So did Gomez prove that her hips don’t lie by dancing with Shakira? “No! I wasn’t even about to attempt her dance moves,” she laughed. “There’s no way I would be that skilled.”

It was a little pressure coming from ‘Just Dance,’ ‘LoveGame’ and ‘Poker Face’ — all these hits, they were massive. We got together, and the same magic happened,” he said of reuniting with Gaga for The Fame Monster. “We did ‘Bad Romance,’ it was incredible. We did it on a tour bus. When we get together, magic … that’s the beauty of it. She hasn’t changed at all to me.” So how will they top the massive popularity and undeniable charm of “Bad Romance”? Well, you’ll have to stay tuned. “You should wait for it,” he teased. “That’s the mystery. That’s what’s going to make it more special when it comes out.”
