Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso Renew Vows in Romantic Ceremony

Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso said “I do” all over again in a romantic vow renewal ceremony on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia yesterday. The actor, 42, rented out St. Lucia’s entire Sugar Beach Resort for around 50 guests, including longtime BFF Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner. Damon and the bride exchanged vows under thatched roofs right at sunset. The groom wore a tan-colored suit and flip-flops, and the gorgeous bride, 36, donned a cream-colored gown featuring a sequined belt at the waist. The couple’s daughters – Isabella, 6, Gia, 4, Stella, 2 – were all there in matching dresses, along with Alexia, Luciana’s daughter from a previous marriage. After the 15-minute ceremony, guests (all wearing shades of cream and ivory) were escorted onto the beach for a cocktail reception (with Tiki torches). “This isn’t a ‘Hollywood’ wedding,” one insider said. “Matt wanted it to be fun, happy and private. He felt like Luciana deserves this, first and foremost.” “This is the perfect place for a wedding. You can [go] here for serenity.” The actor, director and Oscar-winning screenwriter first wed Luciana a private civil ceremony back in December 2005. Congratulations to the couple!

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana expects to welcome their fourth child to the family. Luciana is due in the fall. The couple already has three daughters namely Alexia, who is Luciana’s child from her previous marriage, Isabella and Gia. George Clooney describes Damon as a phenomenal father. Damon and Lucian married in 2005. After Isabella was born, things change for Damon. According to the Sexiest Man Alive, having a family had transformed his life. Prior to having kids, he doesn’t have a life to call outside movies. He worked all day, go to the gym and go to sleep after the day’s activities. But now that he has his own family, he works hard for them and is always excited to go home to be with his children. He wanted to arrive home just before his daughter goes to sleep. Damon met his Argentine-born wife Luciana Bozan Barroso in Miami while filming for his movie Stuck on You. Luciana was working as a bartender. They had a private civil ceremony on December 9, 2005, at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau near New York City Hall. Damon and his family is currently residing in Manhattan. Matt Damon and his wife Luciana are expecting another baby. His rep tells Us Weekly simply that, “Everyone is excited.” Matt and Luciana Damon are parents to Isabella, 3, and Gia, 21 months. Luciana also has a daughter, Alexia, 11, from a previous marriage. Damon, who quietly wed Luciana at New York’s City Hall in December 2005, has credited his kids with keeping him grounded in Hollywood. “Having kids is really helpful,” he said. “They kind of disabuse you of the notion of your greatness pretty quickly. There’s also a routine that you get into with kids that precludes you from going back to your single days.” He said he hopes his daughters take after their mother. “My wife is a very wise and a very thoughtful person. Hopefully, they’ll inherit that,” Damon said. “From me, I hope they’ll inherit a sense of social justice and a desire to continue some of those programs that I’m involved with. Maybe not those exact ones, but hopefully, something to further social justice.” They could certainly do worse for dads. Congrats to Matt and Luciana!
