Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford Welcome First Child!

E! News reported moments ago that Carey Mulligan and Mumford and Sons lead singer Marcus Mumford have welcomed their first child! Mulligan and Mumford married in 2012. They were childhood pen pals who lost touch with one another but reconnected as adults. The actress managed to keep her baby bump under wraps for the first half of pregnancy, and the couple didn’t reveal that Mulligan was pregnant until June of this year. There’s no word yet on the child’s gender or name, but considering the quirky couple is basically a walking Wes Anderson movie, you can bet Baby Mumford’s moniker will be off the beaten path. Our money’s on Thadeus. “Carey has given birth to a healthy and happy baby,” reads a statement from Carey’s reps. “She is just enjoying this time with her family and close friends.” The couple is so intensely private that the press didn’t even realize that Mulligan had given birth until she made a red carpet appearance to promote her new film Suffragette last night. Clearly, Carey isn’t planning on taking much time off from work. Then again, who knows with these two? They might both step away from the spotlight to open a family-run boutique that only sells tea cozies. Mulligan and Mumford would be a perfect name. Lance Bass Reveals "Pedophile" Molested N SYNC Members

Lance Bass appeared on Meredith Viera’s talk show today and revealed that he and other members of ‘N SYNC were inappropriately touched by an older man when they were still in their teens. The panel was discussing Ashley Judd’s claim that she was sexually harassed by Harvey Weinstein when Bass opened up and revealed that he’d suffered similar abuse: Lance Bass Opens Up About Sexual Harassment “This also happens to men, too,” he said. “It has happened to me. When I was 16, 17 years old, and we started, there was someone that we worked with that was inappropriately touching us. “I was even aware then, at 16, that this guy was a pedophile. He was touching me oddly.” Bass added that he and the other members of the band – which included pop mega-star Justin Timberlake – would cope with the harassment by talking about the incidents of abuse with one another. “With the guys we would kind of talk about it, joke about, but it’s not a joking thing…I’m glad that we were aware of it and we didn’t feel victimized at the time,” Bass said. Many in the media have speculated that the man responsible for the abuse is disgraced ‘N SYNC manager Lou Pearlman . Though Bass didn’t mention Pearlman by name today, the 61-year-old boy band impresario has been accused of child molestation in the past. Are the other members of N SYNC upset with Justin Timberlake for their small role in his epic 15-minute performance at the MTV Video Music Awards? NSYNC Bandmates Upset With Justin Timberlake? In case you missed it – which would be understandable if you so much as blinked – the much-touted N Sync reunion Sunday night was pretty minimal. Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez joined JT for a brief medley of the boy band’s hits “Gone,” “Girlfriend” and “Bye, Bye, Bye.” But that was it, a quick interlude in an acclaimed performance carried by Timberlake himself before and after the group took the stage in Brooklyn. “They were pushing for more,” an insider tells Us Weekly . “While [Timberlake] was thrilled they could come, he didn’t want the reunion to be the whole thing. They originally were told that it was going to be more of their old hits.” “Then Justin reworked it.” N SYNC Reunion – MTV VMAs 2013 Justin Timberlake VMAs Performance It wouldn’t be shocking if the guys did yearn for more time on stage, since it was Timberlake who pulled the whole thing together in the first place. Chasez revealed that Timberlake called him up, and said, “Hey man, listen. I’m getting this award and they have given me a pile of time to perform.” “We started our careers at MTV; I think we should get the band back together,” Justin told JC, who didn’t seem too broken up about it to be honest. Timberlake also gave them a classy shout-out while accepting the Video Vanguard Award, so it’s hard to believe there was any ill intent on his part. What do you think? ‘N Sync Reunion: It’s Happening!!!

Following days of rumors and speculation , a source tells Us Weekly that ‘N Sync will, indeed, reunite for a special performance at tomorrow night’s MTV Video Music Awards. *N Sync Reunion Rumor Report “They will reenact some of their greatest videos in a medley,” alleges this insider, saying most tracks will be off the group’s 2000 album No Strings Attached. “Then Justin will sing his new song ‘Take Back the Night’ and get his [Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award].” Adding to the chatter? ‘N Sync just joined Twitter, writing as the group’s first post: “Mic check, mic check one.. two… is this thing on?!” the band wrote for their first tweet. If a reunion does actually take place, it will the first time on stage for Justin Timberlake, J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick as a quintet in a decade.
