Last week, Jeff Prescott dumped Kate Gosselin after nine months of dating. The breakup seemed to come out of nowhere, and just a few weeks earlier, it had been rumored that Prescott and Gosselin were engaged . So why the sudden change of heart? Well, it seems that no man can replace the number one love in Kate’s life. No, we’re not talking about her kids. We’re talking about her reality show, of course! Yes, TMZ is reporting that Jeff became fed up with Kate’s obsession with fame and began to feel that she was using him to boost ratings for Kate Plus 8. Sources say Prescott agreed to do the show against his better instincts, but quickly realized that Kate was more interested in him as a “love interest” character on the show than as a real-life boyfriend. Apparently, Prescott ended the relationship immediately when Kate started bossing him around on set, and they haven’t spoken since. No wonder Jon Gosselin was quick to celebrate Kate’s breakup on social media.  In fact, Jon should pretty much be idolizing Jeff at this point. The man did what Jon should’ve done in season one, which is jump ship as soon as he realized that Kate’s relationships will always take a backseat to her desire for more fame.

Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll: It’s Over!

It is all over for Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll. The hilarious actress and actor had been dating for two years, with Kroll serving as Poehler’s first romantic interest since her surprising divorce from Will Arnett. So, what brought the relationship to a halt? An insider tells Us Weekly that both stars were simply too busy . “Unfortunately, they just couldn’t make the relationship work with their schedules,” claims a source close to the Parks and Recreation actress and the Kroll Show creator, adding: “They really tried, but it just wasn’t realistic anymore. They were spending more time apart than together.” Poehler split from Arnett in the fall of 2012, following nine years of marriage and two children together. She then got together with Kroll in May of 2013. And she gushed over him in her memoir, “Yes Please.” “I have a boyfriend who knows how to settle me,” she wrote. “He puts his hand on my chest and tells me boring stories. On one of our first nights together, I woke up apologizing for my snoring and he pulled out two earplugs he had worn to bed so he could hear what I was saying. “It was one of the most romantic gestures I have ever seen.” Sadly, however, these two have fallen prey to the summer of shocking celebrity splits . Josh Duggar: His Family Will Never Trust Him Again, Source Says

Last week, we learned that despite reports that he fled his treatment facility when the going got tough, Josh Duggar is still in rehab for his supposed sex and pornography addictions. We know that Anna Duggar will not divorce Josh under any circumstances, and that the rest of his family is doing all that they can to help him overcome what they feel is a serious mental illness. Jessa Duggar recently hinted that she forgives Josh in social media post, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the family is finding it quite so easy to move on from his many indiscretions. An unidentified Duggar spoke to Entertainment Tonight recently, and he or she says Josh has a long road ahead of him before he can be welcomed back into the fold.  “It is going to take a long time before we forgive,” the anonymous family member told ET. “In the long term, eventually, we will forgive — it will be in our best interest to forgive. Won’t happen soon. Won’t happen fast. “Just because we forgive doesn’t mean we trust ever again. We are still extremely upset. We are all still hurt. Josh is still in rehab, nobody is warm and fuzzy to him yet. It still feels like he is a stranger.”  Yes, it sounds as though it may be quite some time before Josh’s family will be ready to look past his long history of sexual misconduct and see him as a brother or son once again. Jessica Simpson is a natural beauty. As is her son Ace, who she posted photos of online this weekend. Check out both of these cuties with no makeup!! Ace Knute, if you haven’t guessed, just turned three. Months. Between the adorable newborn youngster and his precious 17-month-old sis Maxwell, Jessica Simpson certainly has her hands full these days. Much like fiance Eric Johnson does, in a different sense.  The 33-year-old recently hinted that while momming is a blast, she’s ready to get back to her first passion: Singing! She tweeted, “I need to make music.” The last album she released was a 2010 holiday effort. From 1999-06 she released five pop records, and in 2008, crossed over to country with Do You Know . Sony Nashville dropped Jess in 2009 after that. She peaked with 2003’s In This Skin , but also has tried her hand at acting and designing (her Jessica Simpson Collection is very successful). And getting pregnant, of course. Counting down to #3 …

Nicki Minaj Says Beef With Mariah Carey Is Over Despite the rest of the judges trying to get the two attention-hungry divas to play nice, the beef still seems to be brewing at the American Idol judges table. YMCMB first lady Nicki Minaj recently hinted that things have calmed down between she and Mariah , but have they really? via People Despite her and Carey’s heated exchange during auditions in Charlotte, N.C., Minaj had nothing but kind words for her fellow judges. “We’ve jelled really, really well as a group,” she told reporters. “We have a great chemistry. We have a great rhythm now together, and we really are taking it serious. … We really are rooting for the contestants and we want to find a great American Idol.” Sounds like things are all good, right? Well, not so fast. MiMi the diva had a slightly more shady response when she was questioned about Nicki: But Carey, resplendent in a floor-length red gown and diamond earrings, hinted that perhaps the claws haven’t been fully retracted. She heaped praise upon her long-time friend Jackson, called Urban an “expert” of country music and said of the group, “I think this panel is great because of the diversity.” But she dodged a question about what Minaj brings to the show. “You know, I wouldn’t feel comfortable commenting on that,” she said with a smile. “But thank you for the question.” SMH. These two really need to get it together before the show airs.

Kelly Osbourne Keeping Mum

Kelly Osbourne is keeping quiet about two “exciting” TV roles she has planned. The 25-year-old admitted in her column in UK magazine Closer that she has two projects lined up but can’t say anything more about them. “I have two really big projects in the pipeline that I’m not allowed to talk about yet. I’ve got such a big mouth, it’s driving me crazy because they’re both so exciting! I’ve already started work on one of them and the other starts in November. The only clue I’ll give is that they’re TV roles…” Osbourne has previously competed in US reality show Dancing With The Stars and her mom Sharon recently hinted that Kelly is in the running to take part in the UK version of the show, Strictly Come Dancing .
