Josh Duggar: I LOVE Gays! I Want to Help Their Sad, Lonely Lifestyle!

19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar, the first born child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, says his family’s anti-gay political views are really acts of love. Seriously. Specifically, Josh claimed that his family’s efforts in successfully overturning an anti-discrimination law in Arkansas were rooted in love for the LGBT community. The policy director at the Family Research Council (FRC), Josh Duggar guest-hosted the FRC’s Washington Watch radio show on Monday afternoon. He and his guest, Baptist pastor Richard Land, said gays and lesbians should be thankful that Christians are trying to free them from a “sad, lonely lifestyle.” “It’s such a sad, lonely lifestyle,” said Land. “It just seemed to me that one of the cruelest jokes the devil has ever played is to have a lifestyle described as ‘gay.’” Josh Duggar said that LGBT activists are “very vocal about their side,” but as Christians, “We have got to stand up in love” for what is truly righteous. “We’re gonna stand up for what’s right,” he said, “and we believe in this.” A former car salesman, Duggar described how he had to sell to people “who didn’t have the same opinions and beliefs as I did and that never became an issue.” Why would this political and moral situation be any different, the husband of the pregnant Anna Duggar , with whom he has three children already, wonders?! 13 Biggest Duggar Family Scandals 1. Jessa Gets Strapped Jessa Duggar and her then-boyfriend Ben Seewald began courting controversy almost from the moment they started dating, posing for photos like this one – a picture that now seems tame considering what they’ve been stirring up more recently. The problem, he said, is LGBT activists trying to force their “agenda.” “The radical gay groups,” said Land, “their goal is very clear.” “Their agenda is to use the power of the state to force everyone to accept and affirm their lifestyle and to marginalize anyone who disagrees with it.” Josh Duggar said that it is a commonly accepted falsehood that in order to love someone, you have to accept their “lifestyle” and agree with them on everything. Christians, he said, have a right to stand up for what they believe. “You know what?” he said, explaining this particular point. “We still love everyone as Christ commands, we still have compassion, we still have those kinds of feelings, but we have our convictions. We have our beliefs.” “If you really love somebody, you’re going to tell the truth. The Bible’s not neutral about lifestyles. The Bible blesses and approves of some and not others.” Follow this link to listen to Duggar’s discussion on gays in detail, and hit the comments below to let us know where you stand on his controversial beliefs … SO Many Duggars 1. Stephen Collins: I’m a Flawed Person, But I’ve Dealt With My Past

Stephen Collins is speaking out in greater detail about his dark past, discussing with Katie Couric his history of sexual abuse that recently went public. An early look at the segment, which will air on 20/20 on Friday, shows Collins reflecting on his faults and his growth since the disturbing acts occurred. “I had put that stuff behind me,” he said, only to have an admission of molesting young girls and exposing himself to them in therapy leak to the media. Stephen Collins admitted sexually abusing underage girls in a session with his estranged wife Faye Grant, then confirmed it in a statement on Wednesday. Now, he tells Couric more of what he told People yesterday: The allegations are true, but decades old, and things he has dealt with privately and seriously. “In 1973, there were two occasions when I exposed myself to this young woman,” he admits to Couric. “Several months later, she came to visit and stay with us.” “With my first wife and me. My wife had gone to sleep, she and I were watching TV alone together… I knew that something unthinkably wrong had just happened.” Stephen Collins Admits to Child Molestation “I’m a flawed person,” Collins said. “In the church, it’s actually one of the things I love about the church… it’s really one of the main things about the Christian faith.” “You know, Christ said in so many ways,” he continued, “‘Bring me that… which about you is broken, bring it,’ and most people are broken in some way.” “Most people get to, or have to, or choose to hide it. This came out. I didn’t choose this to come out. I didn’t want to have to deal with these things publicly.” “I had dealt with them very, very strongly, and committedly, in my private life, but I think, I’m a human being with flaws and I’ve done everything I can to address it.” The news of Collins’ child molestation came as a shock to his fans, who knew the actor best for his role as doting father and moral Rev. Camden on 7th Heaven . It remains unclear how audio from his therapy session with Faye Grant possibly made it onto TMZ, but that’s the way things seem to go these days. 12 TV & Movie Casts Who Have Come Back Together 1.
