Duggar Kids: QUITTING Reality TV?!

Considering how horrific the Josh Duggar sex scandals were, it’s pretty surprising that it was so easy for the Duggar kids to land their own 19 Kids and Counting spin-off. Sure they had to promise that Josh Duggar would never appear on their new series, but they were never forced to issue a public apology, and yet many of their fans proved surprisingly quick to forgive and forget. But the family was never able to re-capture the semi-mainstream appeal that it enjoyed with 19 Kids , and Counting On continues to struggle in the ratings. Even worse (at least for the network execs who will soon decide if the show deserved to be brought back for a third season) the Duggars are scaring off advertisers left and right. In fact, several major corporations have not only pulled their spots from Counting On, but announced that they will no longer advertise on TLC at all . In short, the future’s not looking bright for a show that probably never should’ve existed at all. Perhaps that’s why the Duggar kids are rumored to be seeking out a graceful way to make an exit from the series that was supposed to rebuild their reputations. At least that’s our best guess at why (according to Life & Style ) the kids would be interested in abandoning the only source of income most of them have ever known: Thus far, that cover is all we have to go on. The tabloid is (perhaps wisely) saving the good stuff for its print edition But short of TLC offering the Duggars the chance to make it looks as though they’re walking away of their own accord, why would the kids (several of whom now have kids to raise) choose to part ways with the network that made them famous? Well, there is one other explanation we can think of: It’s possible that yet another scandal has befallen the family, but given how poorly they’ve covered up their recent indiscretions, and how brazenly they’ve attempted to resurrect their careers, we doubt there’s any controversy that could send this family running from the airwaves. Sure they managed to conceal Josh’s sex crimes for over a decade, and it’s unlikely they would’ve been able to sweep it under the rug if they were under the type of public scrutiny they receive these days. Just don’t be surprised if TLC forgets about all of this and gives them another show in two months. They seem to have pretty short memories over there.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar: Breaking Up Over Josh!?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are on the verge of a breakup again, according to a new tabloid report, and you know who is at the crux of it all. In a way, it’s a rehash of a rumor that’s been circulating for months: Despite the fact that his sex scandals have largely blown over, Jim Bob and Michelle are fighting over Josh and heading for divorce. Ironically, Anna Duggar and Josh are on good terms after all this. Anyway, one of the pariah’s parents allegedly does not want anything to do with their first-born, while the other wants him back in the fold. Can you guess which Duggar parent is which? In Touch magazine’s latest cover story features a smiling Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and the “fight that split the family apart,” supposedly. The gossip publication claims that the pair has been at odds, and that while Jim Bob is ready to forgive his son, his wife isn’t so sure. Apparently, the tension has grown so thick that either Jim Bob or Michelle will be moving out of their Arkansas home in the near future. Who will stay and who will leave the compound?! There are only two real possibilities here as we see it: Either the cover above is entirely inaccurate, or Jim Bob and Michelle are doing one heck of a fine job masking whatever tension exists. Just three days ago, he looked lovingly at Michelle in a birthday video message for son Josiah on the family’s official Facebook account. In the clip, Jim Bob extolled the virtues of his 20-year-old son and his “loving spirit towards people” while Michelle glowed by his side. Like we said, they’d have to be really good actors. Jim Bob also gushed over Michelle in a recent anniversary tribute in which he also appeared to shade Josh, casting doubt on this story. For all the recurring talk of the Duggars divorcing , that would come as nothing short of a monumental shock at this stage of the game. Why? Consider the past, present and future … Whatever you think of them personally, the family’s comeback from Josh’s sordid scandals in 2015 has been nothing short of extraordinary. TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting pretty fast, but after a few months, Jill & Jessa: Counting On was reborn (then renamed Counting On ). You might think of their values and lifestyle as incredibly backward, and there’s an argument to be made for that. But they’re not unintelligent. They know what a valuable thing they have going lately and how the money train is back on the tracks following its interim derailment. No way they’re going to risk that. Exactly. Not gonna be happening. We have little doubt that there are differing opinions about Josh, both in terms of what he did and how do deal with him going forward. They wouldn’t be good parents – or human beings – if they didn’t struggle internally with an issue that’s as complicated as they come. It’s a big leap to go from that to divorce, though, especially given that this is JIM BOB AND MICHELLE DUGGAR we’re talking about. In other words: Keeping the cheater off TLC cameras as long as possible, but slowly reintroducing him into family life on social media here and there. Duggar Family Endorses Frozen Yogurt Shop, Gets SLAMMED on Social Media

How hated is the Duggar family these days? So hated that they can’t even get ice cream without becoming the subjects of unwanted attention on social media. Okay, so it’s actually frozen yogurt that lured the Jim Bob, Michelle and Jinger out of the Duggar compound over the weekend, but the reaction to the above photo was still downright frigid. As you can see, the Duggars were joined by Jinger’s new boyfriend, Jeremy Vuolo , when they stopped by Sweet Loring Frozen Yogurt in Laredo, Texas. No word on what brought the Dugz to the streets of Laredo, but they seem to be more or less constantly on tour these days. Anyway, the owner of the shop posted the pic on Facebook and Twitter, along with a “huge shoutout” to the Duggar clan. That’s when all hell broke loose. Jeremy got his first taste of life as a member of the Duggar clan when social media commenters asked for extra nuts on their two scoops of Duggar hate. And considering a damaged reputation is their only punishment for helping their teenage son molest five young girls , we’re gonna go ahead and say it’s a good thing that the public won’t let them forget about it. Jill Duggar: Criticized for Seeking Mother-in-Law’s Birth Mom on Twitter!

Jill Duggar is catching heat again. This time, it’s got nothing to do with her trying to get pregnant while in El Salvador as the Zika virus runs rampant there. Instead, she’s coming under fire for seeking out the birth mom of her husband Derick Dillard’s mother, Cathy, who was adopted. Jill even sent out a plea to fans on Twitter, asking for help from anyone who might know of the woman’s whereabouts. “Please help us find @cldilla birth mom. Anyone know Joyce Perry (DOB 12/9/1925)? Previously in TX, OK & PA. Israel would love 2 meet ggma!” she tweeted. It may be worth noting that Jill and Derick’s son Israel is one, and likely doesn’t even understand what a great grandmother is. In addition to the tweet, the couple also posted a notice on the Duggar Family Blog, announcing their search for Joyce Perry. Fans, of course, deemed this public hunt inappropriate. Maybe Cathy’s birth mother didn’t want to be known.” Adding to the strangeness of it all is that Cathy had already tracked down her biological mother years ago, and noted the woman wanted nothing to do with her. She made the admission after implying that her mom would’ve had an abortion if it had been legal. “If abortion had been legal when I was born, I wouldn’t be here! Neither would Derick, Dan or Baby Dilly!” she tweeted, which prompted a fan to ask her to clarify. “My birth mother whom I located when I was 27,” Cathy added. “She had put me up for adoption at birth and still didn’t want to meet me even then.” It’s unclear the real reason that’s motivating Jill to find this woman, but we do know she and Derick have considered adopting a child of their own . Jinger Duggar Criticized For Endangering 4-Year-Old Nephew

The women of the Duggar family are expected to start helping with household chores – including caring for their younger siblings – at a very young age. In keeping with that tradition, 22-year-old Jinger Duggar has been helping with the young ones since she was little girl herself. Perhaps that’s why this photo caught so many fans by surprise: That’s a shot of Michael Duggar, the 4-year-old son of Josh and Anna Duggar, asleep in the backseat of Jinger’s car during a shopping excursion. The image was posted to the Duggar’s official Facebook page this afternoon along with a caption reading, “Look at this photo Jinger sent us! Seems like her little shopping buddy needed some rest!” Seems harmless enough, but because everything the Duggars do stirs up controversy these days, several fans immediately went on the offensive. The problem, it seems, is that Michael is not properly restrained according to Arkansas state law, which dictates that children under the age of 5 or weighing less than 60 pounds must ride in a car seat. Naturally, the comments section on the photo has now devolved into a battleground with child safety advocates duking it out with the Duggar faithful: “He should be in a high back booster or a harness,” wrote one commenter. “She probably wasn’t driving when the photo was taken but had to have been driving with him in that position. He wasn’t properly restrained. Period.” “Even if he were in a backless booster and that booster is being hidden by the blanket in the photo, a backless/no back booster isn’t even an appropriate seat for a 5yo anyway,” another chimed in. Naturally, these comments sparked the usual “know-it-all moms” blowback: “1) she PROOOOBABLY wasn’t able to take such a perfect picture, from the driver’s seat, while driving. 2) if you say your child has.never done this, you’re lying. 3) they don’t need your safety advice,” one commenter wrote in Jinger’s defense. The Duggars have been criticized for photos of their kids on numerous occasions in the past year. In fact, this isn’t even the first controversy related to a car seat . Some of it seems to come from a place of genuine concern; most of it is just the usual Internet outrage directed at some very low-hanging fruit, but as several commenters pointed out today, when it pertains to their kids’ safety, the Duggars should probably just take the advice. Prior to last year’s Josh Duggar sex scandals , many were under the impression that it didn’t get much more squeaky-clean than the 19 Kids and Counting clan. Unfortunately for Josh’s siblings, however, his misconduct was so egregious that it’s caused the public to view his entire family differently – especially his two most high-profile sisters, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald. Though their own controversies are unrelated to Josh’s misdeeds, it’s hard to imagine that Jill and Jessa would be criticized so harshly if their family hadn’t fallen from grace in such a public fashion. First Jill was slammed for allegedly lying about her missionary work . Then Jessa was attacked for asking fans for for money  in order to purchase new clothes and other items for her son, Spurgeon. Like we said, Jill and Jessa’s mini-scandals pale in comparison to Josh’s, but the reactions from former fans are indicative of how far the Duggars have fallen in the past year. As a result, of course, they’re being treated differently on all corners of the the Internet, which may be why Jill and Jessa have found unexpected (and unwanted) popularity on a website that serves as an online gathering place for foot fetishists. Sublime harmony of the toes. I loved it, perfect!” said another about Jessa. Needless to say, it’s not the kind of praise the sisters relish, but it looks as though they have no legal recourse. 19 Kids and Counting: Return Episode’s Storyline Revealed!

Get ready Duggar fans, it looks like 19 Kids and Counting is coming back to TV! After the testing the waters with the limited-run Jill & Jessa: Counting On last month, TLC has apparently decided to give the entire Duggar clan another chance at reality stardom. As we previously reported, a camera crew followed the Duggars on a recent family outing to a lumberyard.  That may not seem like a very big deal on its own, but add to that the fact that the Duggar girls were spotted filming at a thrift store , and it seems pretty clear that the family is preparing for a comeback. Now, enough pieces have fallen into place that we’re able to reveal a bit about the storyline for their first episode back: “John David sent over a list of things they needed to build a tree house,” says the owner of the lumberyard where the family was filming. “He wanted to make sure we have the stuff. We got it all together. Jana was really the one in charge. We asked her if she needed 4* grooves or 8″ grooves and she knew the answer. She was the one giving all the instructions.” View Slideshow: The 11 Biggest Duggar Family Scandals of 2015 So we know we’ll be seeing the construction of a (probably humongous) tree house, but what will the older Duggar girls be up to? Well, apparently the network was thrilled with the viewer response to Jana Duggar, and the 26-year-old will be a majot focus of the first episode. Jana was spotted filming with her sisters at the thrift shop, and production sources say the show will delve into her feelings about still being single while her younger sisters are getting married and starting families. As Jana is pretty much the most beloved Duggar, that certainly sounds like a formula for success. Sounds like both the family and the network are eager to leave the past behind them with a successful new series.

Khloe Kardashian to Lamar Odom: You Almost DIED!!!

Back in October, Lamar Odom overdosed on a cocktail of drugs while partying at a brothel in Nevada. The incident nearly cost Odom his life, and he was comatose by the time he arrived at a nearby hospital. Miraculously, Odom eventually emerged from his coma and began the slow process of recovering. Khloe Kardashian has offered several encouraging updates, but she concedes there's a good chance that Odom will never be quite the same again Kourtney Kardashian stopped by Ellen DeGeneres' show recently, and she FaceTimed Khloe during her interview so that the two of them could fill fans in on the latest about Lamar. Kourtney and Khloe both described Odom as “good,” but Khloe elaborated that the former NBA star's “short term memory is not so great.” Odom was released from the hospital  earlier this month, and he's apparently visited Khloe and the rest of the Kardashian clan several times since. While the news was mostly encouraging, Khloe was honest about Lamar's mental state, admitting that he still doesn't fully understand what happened to him: “And every day he’ll ask me, 'So what happened to me?'” Khloe explains. “Like today specifically, he was like, 'How many tubes did I have in me again?' And I’m like, ‘I don’t know what’s too serious to tell you,’ but I’m honest.” “I’m like, ‘Well just a lot, I didn’t count, I don’t know.’ But it’s good that he wants to know these answers. Before he didn’t want to know he wasn’t ready to know. So it’s great that he’s at the point that he’s ready to know everything that happened.” Khloe has long had a reputation as the “realest” Kardashian, and it seems she's maintaining her remarkably honest relationship with fans throughout the difficult process of helping Lamar recuperate.
