Michelle Rodriguez Denies That Liam Neeson’s Racist Michelle Rodriguez is catching hell from people who can’t believe what she said about one of her recent costars. If you’ve been keeping up then you’re well aware that Liam Neeson confessed that he had a black male murder fantasy and looked for a black man to kill after his friend was raped. He’s seen denied being racist and added that speed walking (yes, speed walking) helped cure him of his bias . Weird dude. Now his “Widows” costar Michelle Rodriguez is coming to his defense. The actress spoke to Vanity Fair on the red carpet at the amfAR Gala and categorically denied that he’s racist. According to Michelle, that’s impossible because of his passionate spit swapping with Viola Davis in “Widows.” “It’s all fuckin’ bulls***. Liam Neeson is not a racist,” said Rodriguez. “Dude, have you watched Widows? His tongue was so far down Viola Davis’s throat. You can’t call him a racist ever. Racists don’t make out with the race that they hate, especially in the way he does with his tongue—so deep down her throat. I don’t care how good of an actor you are. It’s all bulls***. Ignore it. He’s not a racist. He’s a loving man. It’s all lies.” Sis. *stares in Sally Hemmings* She’s now being fast and furiously escorted out the paint from fans who think she should’ve shifted into STFU… Sees Michelle Rodriguez trending… pic.twitter.com/Jk4Ihk0bCZ — LeslieMac (@LeslieMac) February 7, 2019 Michelle Rodriguez: liam isnt racist he kissed that black chick in that movie… Me: pic.twitter.com/qse6HaJffK — Big Girl Slay (@Biggirlslay) February 7, 2019 and who think our GOOD Auntie’s resisting clapping back at Litty’s lies. I’ve been calling Lea Michelle a dude for the longest time because I am convinced that she’s a dude….and she hasn’t really given us any evidence that she’s not a dude. Especially not in this pic with her hand in front of her crotch because she didn’t have enough time to tuck…. Hollywood is a dark place, those dreams of fame and fortune that parents have can make them do a lot of weird things like raise their son into a woman and keeping the lie alive…the good news is that trans rights is a thing, not that she’ll come out trans, and that her fiance gets to be a queer without disappointing his parents like being a queer does… The nice thing about her being a dude in the white bathing suit is that she doesn’t have to worry about getting her period…the only blood stains from her man pussy after a wild night with not enough lube….and that’s what we’ll leave you with on this one… JOIN THE NEWSLETTER YOU ASSHOLES! Source: Beats 1 / Beats 1 It’s been a minute since we’ve heard anything new from Maino but over the weekend the Brooklyn rapper showed a pulse when he came through with some new work. Looking to piss off PETA in his visual for “Jermaine (The Intro), Maino poses in the cold streets of New York draped in a mink jacket with the tail on the collar. In all fairness to him it could’ve been a chinchilla or even a fox, we don’t know. We ain’t up on furs like that. Birdman meanwhile turns up at a private estate party where he and Jacquees enjoy the company of scantly clad women for the clip to “Presidential.” Check out the rest of today’s drops and some work you might’ve missed over the weekend including work from Ace Hood, Xavr Sosa, and more. Source: Michael Tullberg / Getty Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood concludes its fifth season tonight with part two of its annual reunion. It’s all shenanigans as usual. We pick up from last week where someone we couldn’t really see tried to run up on Akbar’s harem. That someone was Moniece, shocker. Anyway, security handled that situation because they are about that life. Speaking of Akbar’s harem, Nina Parker asks them if they were broken when they met Akbar since Akbar said he likes picking up broken women. Both women said some version of they were lost until Akbar found them and helped them step their game up. The segment even continues with Bridget asking Akbar why he would drag Teairra into a toxic situation with women that don’t like her. His answer is dumb. This whole situation is bull and then we get to the sex tape. Akbar still claims he didn’t leak Teairra Mari’s tape even though he said he did it on TMZ (according to Teairra). Then Alejandra (one of the harem) alleges to have seen Teairra release the video. However, at one point, Alejandra claims she released the tape and said she took ownership of the act because TT kept lying about releasing it. TT said Alejandra is lying on her and that she did not release her own tape. Why were we still even entertaining this again? They end up spending too much time on this segment trying to get to the bottom of a situation with people who aren’t going to be honest. Let’s fast forward to Brooke. Nina addresses Brooke’s messy ways and Brooke actually apologizes to anyone she may have hurt. But can we really believe it because we all know what happens when the cameras start rolling… Anyway, next we get to the whole never have I ever incident where Brooke tried to blow up Nikki’s spot about sleeping with Solo Lucci. Nikki says Solo Lucci is lying, Solo Lucci says Nikki is lying. TT was allegedly there when it may or may not have happened, and TT said she didn’t see any intercourse popping off. So, that’s that. Everybody tryna use someone else for a storyline. Paris and K Michelle have a moment to discuss their never-ending unauthorized Uber saga. They’re still beefing. K Michelle still maintains that Paris stole from her. Paris says that it was a $50 Uber and she didn’t steal since she was K Michelle’s assistant. K Michelle calls her a Twitter fan that she felt sorry for who became her assistant and near tax write off. Paris says she tried to pay K Michelle back but K Michelle never took the money because she’s so busy trying to ruin Paris’ career. We all know how nutty K Michelle can be, so this got blown all the way out of proportion. They just can’t get right and that’s that. The brightest spot of tonight’s episode is that Moniece and Princess actually manage to call a truce. This is huge. Remember how Princess insulted Moniece’s mothering and Moniece later tried to attack Princess while she was pregnant? Yeah, their resulting beef was intense, but it’s all good now. Who would have thought this beef could ever be squashed! And now we prepare to return to the North East for Love and Hip-Hop New York , which premieres next Monday. Source: Praise 102.5 Atlanta / Praise 102.5 Atlanta Someone please cue up Girl for Michelle Williams because it might be her turn to evaluate her relationship. We’ve all seen the viral clips of Michelle and her fiance Chad Johnson talking through a recent disagreement that turned ugly when Chad got offended by a racial comment made by Michelle. The former Destiny’s Child singer informed her fiance that he doesn’t understand how Black people talk because he’s White. All I heard from her were facts, but Chad quipped with a low blow and questioned whether she’d taken her medication. If you haven’t see it, take a look: Watching the exchange brought me to one conclusion: If you can’t openly discuss race and racial inequality without getting defensive, then you have absolutely no business being in an interracial relationship. Being in an interracial relationship means that these topics will pop up from time to time. If you can’t handle those talks with sensitivity, compassion, maturity, and respect, then you are doing your partner a deep disservice. When it comes to interracial relationships, trying to avoid the issue of race feels a lot like not fully accepting your partner for who they are. Discussions about race cannot be met with closed ears and an unwillingness to hear your partner’s concerns about the consequences of living in brown skin. Similarly, it must also be acknowledged that moments where the ethnic partner is thoroughly enjoying their culture are not anti-White. Considering Michelle’s history of depression, it was an incredibly cheap shot to take. Chad back peddled at first when Michelle opened up about their latest fight. He swore that he’d never usually “go there” with her and swiftly attempted to deflect. Chad then spouted the Color Blind Coalition’s charter, stating that he does not care what color a person is as long as everyone’s feelings are respected. Finally, he tried to argue that she owed him an apology for hurting his feelings. Not once did he bother to apologize for his handling of the situation. As we saw, Michelle basically outed Chad’s shortcomings in that department. Here’s the thing: Chad wants to marry a Black woman. Black people often talk about racial politics because it affects so much of our lives. Whether we’re talking about discrimination at work, voter suppression, and even police brutality–or whether we’re celebrating the culture and reminiscing about aspects of our community–race plays a huge role in the lives of non-White people. It would be nearly impossible for us to be in a relationship without ever speaking on racial matters (good or bad) because it underscores much of our experience. For the non-ethnic partner to expect that a person of color always has to defer to their sense of comfort as a function of the relationship is incredibly selfish. It’s a way of using privilege against someone they claim to love, and it puts unreasonable conditions on the affections exchanged. In that situation, they’re not fit to be in an interracial relationship because the relationship is not equitable, and it’s likely to come at the expense of the brown person in the pairing. Personally, I could not imagine having to tiptoe around certain aspects of my life in my own relationship. I’m married to a White man, and at no time have I ever felt the need to tone down my Blackness. At no time, have I ever felt like I couldn’t share my thoughts on racially charged matters because my husband would take it the wrong way. He sits down with me and we can talk it out, and it’s comforting to know that I have a partner who does not shy away from that. When I want to revel in my culture, it’s not an issue for him because he can appreciate why that matters to me. I don’t have to explain it to him ad infinitum. If anything, he’s very supportive of those moments and encourages them for me. He loves me in my entirety. I sincerely wish the same for all Black girls in interracial relationships because someone who cannot navigate the reality of your experience as a woman of color is not fully invested in you. Viola Davis and Liam Neeson are ready to hit the big screen in the Steve McQueen directed piece called Widows. This is the follow up to his Academy Award nominated 12 Years A Slave, in Widows, Viola plays a grieving wife named Veronica Rawlings who has to go on a heist with a group of other widows to repay their husband’s debts when a gangster turned politician named Jamal Manning comes knocking at her door asking for his money that got robbed by their deceased husbands. Sounds interesting right? I went to Chicago to sit down with Viola, Liam, Brian Tyree Henry, Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Rodriguez for this episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine. The film is your classic tale of cops and robbers with a subplot of bad guys and gals fighting each other so it will be no surprise that this film has a lot of police interaction. I asked the cast about police brutality and Michelle Rodriguez opened up about losing a loved one to police violence in Jersey City, NJ. “I’ve been exposed to a lot of police brutality growing up in Jersey City. The Latino community as well as the African American community we are in it together,” Michelle explained. “I’ve seen so much gnarly stuff happening growing up in jersey city I’ll give you one account. My God son’s uncle being killed by cops and they tried to hide it by taking the body from the actual hospital, removing his tongue in the morgue before his sister could go identify the body. This is the kind of stuff the cops do to cover themselves up.” Liam chimed in as well, referencing the Laquan McDonald case where officer Jason Van Dyke, 40, was charged with murder acknowledging that these are sensitive times especially in Chicago where a young black man was shot 16 times. Also on this episode of Extra Butter, Brian Tyree Henry and Cynthia Erivo talk about crafting great scenes with Viola Davis and Viola and Liam have some fun talking about washcloths a conversation that led to a hilarious moment. Widows is in theaters everywhere this weekend 11/16.
