According to TMZ , Usher , Rich the Kid and their entourage members were attacked Tuesday afternoon in broad daylight at the Westlake Recording Studio, in West Hollywood. Usher was in the studio, but not hurt while Rich the Kid was outside the studio during the robbery. However, multiple entourage members were attacked during the one thing, with one being pistoled whipped. Reportedly, multiple shots were fired as one of the assailants was running away. L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies are currently on the scene and investigating. This story is developing, we will keep you updated as more details become available. Liam Neeson is one of my favorite people to interview. During our last sit down in New York City for his new movie Cold Pursuit we talked about ghosting. Now before I get into all of that allow me to tell you what the movie is about. In Cold Pursui t we meet Nels Coxman a guy living a quiet life that changes quickly when his beloved son dies under mysterious circumstances. His search for the truth soon becomes a quest for revenge as he seeks coldblooded justice against a drug lord and his inner circle. This movie is funny and filled with action and it’s Liam Neeson doing what Liam Neeson does best. Finding you and killing you in movies. Cold Pursuit is a remake of the Hans Petter Moland directed 2014 film In Order Of Disappearance that starred Stellan Skarsgard . Funny many people said Liam Neeson should have starred in that film so, Hans Petter Moland made one with Liam Neeson. It’s pretty much the same film, a funny revenge film set in the bitter cold. On this episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine we sit down with Liam to talk about filming in the cold, working with Hans Petter Moland and ghosting. If you’re not aware ghosting is when you suddenly stop contacting a person you’ve been dealing with. You don’t say goodbye, you don’t give notice you just… Poof. Vanish and become a ghost. I asked Liam if he’s ever been ghosted in real life to which he states no, he’s the one who does the ghosting. “I’ve done it several times,” Liam declares, adding that he won’t go into why because he still feels guilty about it. He continues, Sometimes you change in life and a person or people that used to be in your life suddenly don’t belong there anymore. It’s not because they’ve done anything wrong it’s just a wind of change sometimes comes into it. You get to an age where you’re like I’m not going to be bothered contacted that person because it is going nowhere.” It was a very candid and real moment of reflection from Liam that you can watch above. Liam also goes on to reveal how he felt about the movie, Cold Pursuit and working with the talented cast of Indigenous people during the filming. Bumblebee is personally my favorite Transformer movie ever. It’s a throwback of sorts and you immediately feel thrown back in time. With epic performances by Angela Bassett, John Cena, and Hailee Steinfeld director Travis Knight does the damn thing. On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town when Charlie played by the lovely Hailee Steinfeld, discovers a car that wasn’t there before. She is on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world when she barters for this car, she takes it home only to discover her new beat up VW is actually a Transformer named Bumblebee. The auto-bot is battle-scarred and broken and cannot talk anymore when Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow bug. On this episode of Extra Butter With Xilla Valentine, we talk to Angela Bassett about doing voice work. She was so good I didn’t even notice she was the evil Decepticon Shatter until the very end of the movie. A testament to how great she is in the role. We also talk to John Cena who plays the angry Agent Burn. I talked to him about being a bad guy for once. Viola Davis and Liam Neeson are ready to hit the big screen in the Steve McQueen directed piece called Widows. This is the follow up to his Academy Award nominated 12 Years A Slave, in Widows, Viola plays a grieving wife named Veronica Rawlings who has to go on a heist with a group of other widows to repay their husband’s debts when a gangster turned politician named Jamal Manning comes knocking at her door asking for his money that got robbed by their deceased husbands. Sounds interesting right? I went to Chicago to sit down with Viola, Liam, Brian Tyree Henry, Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Rodriguez for this episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine. The film is your classic tale of cops and robbers with a subplot of bad guys and gals fighting each other so it will be no surprise that this film has a lot of police interaction. I asked the cast about police brutality and Michelle Rodriguez opened up about losing a loved one to police violence in Jersey City, NJ. “I’ve been exposed to a lot of police brutality growing up in Jersey City. The Latino community as well as the African American community we are in it together,” Michelle explained. “I’ve seen so much gnarly stuff happening growing up in jersey city I’ll give you one account. My God son’s uncle being killed by cops and they tried to hide it by taking the body from the actual hospital, removing his tongue in the morgue before his sister could go identify the body. This is the kind of stuff the cops do to cover themselves up.” Liam chimed in as well, referencing the Laquan McDonald case where officer Jason Van Dyke, 40, was charged with murder acknowledging that these are sensitive times especially in Chicago where a young black man was shot 16 times. The film is a deep dive into the world of catfishing that stars Tika Sumpter as Danica who is in a year-long relationship with a man she’s never seen in person before. Things are going well until she gets a call from her mother played by Whoopi Goldberg that her sister, played by Tiffany Haddish is coming home from jail and has to live with her. After doing some investigation, Tiffany calls up Nev and Max from MTV’s Catfish to find out if her sister is truly being catfished and the movie goes full steam ahead from there. On today’s episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine we get the honor of chatting with the legendary Whoopi Goldberg, along with Tyler Perry, Tiffany Haddish, Omari Hardwick , Tika Sumpter, and Amber Riley to go behind the scenes of Nobody’s Fool, which is in theaters everywhere this Friday, November 2nd 2018. After I watched the film, I found out a lot of people felt like I did, that this was the best Tyler Perry movie we’ve ever seen. Now love them or hate them Tyler’s movies have a reputation. So when I sat down with the writer, director, and producer of Nobody’s Fool I had to get his opinion on what this meant to him. Tyler told us, “If I’m not trying to continue to get better then I’m not doing my job man. I’m almost 50 and I’ve been in this thing 25 years so I got to keep improving, I’ve got to do something different. This is also the first movie with Paramount so it’s a whole different ballgame for me over there.” Tyler goes on to explain that he didn’t want to have Whoopi Goldberg and Tiffany Haddish in this movie and restrain their comedic minds to doing a PG 13 movie. There is also a special secret cameo in this film that will leave you in tears. Like real tears from laughter. I swear I might have seen a few people literally rolling on the floor in laughter in my theater. I also asked Tyler and Tiffany if either one of them got to smoke with Whoopi, she’s been a big champion of the medical benefits fo marijuana and even has her own line of products for cramps and other pain. Tyler might not have been aware of that because he insisted that Whoopi didn’t smoke, only partakes in a glass of red wine every now and then. Tiffany, on the other hand, disagreed saying that if she doesn’t smoke, she must have had the BEST prop in the world. Whoopi expanded by saying she was the only one who smokes and that she believes in the healing power of marijuana calling it, “the perfect medication.” Trust the entire exchange is super funny and worth watching on this episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine and be sure to go see Nobody’s Fool in theaters November 2nd.

I went out to London, England to sit down with Halle and Pedro to discuss their role in this film and when I walked in Halle’s hands were stuck together. It turns out her rings got tangled and she had to call outside help to get them separated. After the scare was over, the interview got underway where we learned that this role was handed to Halle while Pedro had to work very hard to get his role. He also revealed that it was an honor to have his driver leave him to go pick up Halle. The Oscar-winning actress plays Ginger Ale, the brainiac agent responsible for all the high-tech gadgets used by the Kingsman’s cousins The Stateman.
