Large sections of the Old Testament are devoted to genealogies — lengthy lists of couplings and the biblically-significant offspring that they begat. Given the Duggars' love for the Good Book, we're sure someone in the family has compiled a similar compendium of the courtships and marriages that led to the creation of Jim Bob and Michelle's many granchildren. It might seem like it would take a monastic scholar to keep track of the rapid expansion of the Counting On clan, but we managed to create a complete list of the #LittleDuggars without locking ourselves in an abbey with a quill and parchment. But that's not to say it was a simple task. After all, Jim Bob and Michelle have a lot of kids, and those kids are very dedicated to the task of populating Northwest Arkansas with Duggars. So sit back, grab a Duggar-friendly snack (might we suggest a jar of pickles?) and explore the family tree of the most beloved Baptist brood on reality TV: 1. Meet the Duggars The Duggar family seems to get bigger by the day. In fact, the Counting On clan has welcomed so bundles of joy in the past decade that some fans might find it difficult to keep up. 2. Humble Beginnings Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar had their first child, Josh, in 1988. Needless to say, they didn’t stop there. 3. Fame Comes Calling The family first rose to national prominence with a series of Discovery Health and TLC documentaries that mostly focused on Michelle’s last five deliveries. 4. A Bunch of Stars Are Born Viewers couldn’t get enough of the wholesome Arkansas clan, and it wasn’t long before the Duggars had their own show. 5. On the Grow Initially titled 17 Kids and Counting, the series documented the adventures and unorthodox customs of the still-expanding Duggar clan. 6. The Duggar gals are firmly in the spotlight this summer, between Jinger’s rebellious move to LA , and that pile of babies on the way. But we haven’t entirely forgotten about the (admittedly less interesting) Duggar boys. Lately, fans have been wondering why these guys can’t seem to hold down a job unless it’s working for Jim Bob. It’s weird, right? With a family this large, you’d expect its members to have all kinds of careers. Basically, in the Duggar family, the men work, and the women get married and have kids. It’s like a rule, and they’re apparently very into it. It all goes back to the family’s religion. They’re devout followers of the Institute in Basic Life Principles ministry. The Duggar way of life stresses family ties, so much so that they basically disowned Jinger for moving away. So it’s not surprising that the men like to keep their jobs in the family when possible. And let’s not forget Jim Bob’s many business holdings. The man has a successful real estate business, a car lot, and several airplanes, not to mention a hit reality TV show about his life. Jim Bob would obviously have no problem finding a job for every man in the family. He’d probably put the kids to work too, if it weren’t for those pesky child labor laws. Of the boys who are old enough to work, Joseph, Josiah, and Jason Duggar are all apparently going into real estate. They’ll be following in the footsteps of Jim Bob, who began his career in real estate. Jim Bob reportedly still makes good money for the family through his real estate business, despite shifting his focus to Counting On . Hopefully the real estate game will be kind to Joseph, Josiah, and Jason. Jim Bob’s older boys weren’t exactly successful in their own careers. Josh Duggar, the eldest, had a brief but disastrous stint in politics. For two years Josh was the executive director of FRC Action, an organization that lobbied on behalf of the conservative hate group, Family Research Council. He was brought on board because the FRC assumed his fame would help their message appeal to kids. But as we now know, it was actually kids who appealed to Josh. In 2015 it came to light that Josh had molested five underage girls, and his family had helped him cover it up. 19 Kids and Counting was cancelled, and so was Josh’s career. Josh returned home in disgrace and now works at a used car dealership owned by his father. Josh’s younger brother, 29-year-old John-David, has a less loathsome story, though the bar is low. John has his pilot’s license, but he’s never quite reached the heights of success with it. Apparently he mostly uses it for flying his huge family around, instead of making an actual living as a pilot. John is also a constable in Washington County, Arkansas, though this is reportedly an unpaid volunteer position. So what is he doing for money? Perhaps he and Jim Bob have some kind of arrangement? We wonder what kind of benefits come with being the Duggars’ unofficial sky chauffeur. It seems like the Duggar family patriarch is happy to put his kids to work for the family, even if it’s not an actual position. The only exceptions seem to be for Jim Bob’s sons-in-law, who married into the family and don’t yet work for Jim Bob. Ben Seewald, who’s married to Jessa Duggar, is regularly blasted by fans for being unemployed. Jill’s hubbie Derick Dillard is also unemployed, but since he’s in law school, he has a pretty great excuse. Jinger, the “rebellious” one, married a minister. Truly wild stuff, huh? But her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, used to be a professional soccer player, which actually is pretty cool. So overall, the Duggar guys are all either unemployed, working in the church, or working for Jim Bob. What’s going on with the Duggar men? It would be unfair (and possibly untrue) to dismiss the Duggar boys unilaterally as clods who couldn’t make in the real work force. But it’s worth mentioning that the IBLP strongly discourages its members from seeking a college education. After all, during their education, they might be exposed to a viewpoint that isn’t shared by the church, God forbid. In fact, IBLP instructs men to avoid working for secular companies or employers. Men in the church are also discouraged from taking orders from a woman, even in a professional capacity. And this is what’s at the root of this whole trend of Duggar guys just working for themselves. They have a feverish obedience to fringe religious beliefs that prevent them from working for non-Christians or even women. We hear about the women in this community being opressed, at least from an outsider’s perspective. But this way of life doesn’t leave a lot of choices for the men either, and we can see that in the careers these guys have chosen. It’s either work to serve your family, work to serve your faith community, or don’t work at all. But the family is always growing, and several more Duggar boys have yet to reach working age. Last week, Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron spent the night together . The hunky model was spotted leaving her home the next morning. Now, after Tyler's date with Gigi Hadid , Hannah is addressing that sleepover and comparing it to the fantasy suites. She's also weighing in on Tyler's chances as the next Bachelor. Take a look: Hannah is not denying that she and Tyler spent some quality time together. “We definitely hung out and talked about everything and…” Hannah acknowledges in an interview with Entertainment Tonight . But she wants to clearify that her visit with Tyler was not at all like her windmill time earlier this year. “I know nobody will believe me [about] just hanging out and actually talking,” she admits. “But it was good to be able to catch up,” Hannah says. “We had a lot to talk about.” She also admits that it's totally weird to talk about any of this. “We are trying to figure out how we feel,” Hannah admits. “I have feelings,” she clarifies. “But I’m also single.” “And he’s single,” Hannah notes. “And I wanna keep my options open.” She of course makes it very clear: “and he can keep his options open.” “I don’t know where he’s at with wanting to be the Bachelor,” Hannah admits. She speculates: “I think he has his options open as well,” “And if the Bachelor is one of those options,” Hannah says. “Then I guess I'll support him.” She says that she'll do so “if that’s what he wants to do.” If she doesn't sound terribly enthusiastic on that subject, consider that she's also thinking of dating him. “I am single,” Hannah reminds the world. “And people slide into my DMs if they want to.” “But,” she notes. “I just got out of an engagement and dating 30 men.” Both of those sound exhausting under the best of circumstances. Considering the drama involved, Hannah's circumstances were less than best. “[Dating] is not really not my sole focus right now,” Hannah emphasizes. That's no real surprise. Sometimes, you need to take a step back after a serious relationship. “I'm working on Hannah and loving Hannah,” Hannah says. Good for her! That's totally the right thing to do. “And so you know,” she tells the world. “If that means going to have a drink again with somebody else, then I'm all for it.” In other words, the Bachelor Nation should not be too surprised if Hannah is spotted drinking or dining with another man. It doesn't mean that she's boning him. It means that she's talking to him. Is Tyler really going to be the next Bachelor? He's certainly a fan-favorite for the role. But fans don't get to make these decisions, or Peter Kraus would have been the leading man years ago. And Chris Harrison says that Tyler won't be the Bachelor because, get this, he's going on dates . Most people would see Tyler spending time with Hannah and then dating Gigi Hadid as part of his ongoing quest for love — what the franchise is all about. But apparently Chris and some others on the show view it as a sign of Tyler's “insincerety,” valuing the perks of fame over love. Anybody involved with Arie Luyendyk Jr. being the Bachelor has a whole lot of nerve calling any candidate “insincere.”
Back in June, Jim Bob Duggar’s beloved mother, Mary Duggar, passed away at the age of 78. Due to her advanced age, it was initially assumed that Mary had died of natural causes. But that later proved not to be the case. Fans were shocked to learn that Mary had drowned under mysterious circumstances. While several members of the Duggar family paid tribute to Mary in heartfelt social media posts, none of them offered any details with regard to the circumstances under which she drowned. And that’s certainly their right. But considering the family’s close relationship with fans, it’s not surprising that overzealous Duggar obsessives were quick to accuse Jim Bob and company of dodging questions about Mary’s death . Now, in an exclusive interview, a source close to the family tells The Hollywood Gossip that the Duggars may have had good reason to keep the details of Mary’s passing under wraps. Earlier this week, the insider — a former employee of the Duggars who developed close friendships with several members of the family — informed us that in recent months, Josiah Duggar has been clashing with Jim Bob like never before. Asked about the exact nature of their conflict, the source informed us that Mary was a confidant to both men — and their secrets may have been buried alongside her. “I think the only one who knew took it to her grave when she drowned,” said the tipster. “I still have my doubts on that death theory,” he added turning his attention to Mary’s drowning. “Her daughter is a dollar chasing piece of work who Jim Bob keeps at arm’s length.” He was referring to Deanna Jordan, Jim Bob’s sister and only sibling. Deanna and Jim Bob have been never been particularly close, and they appear to have cut ties entirely in the weeks since Mary’s passing. We have no way of knowing why that might be, but since Deanna was Mary’s primary caretaker in her final years, fans have speculated that Jim Bob feels her negligence was the true cause of his mother’s passing. Citing the version of events that the Duggars have shared with close family and friends, our source told us: “They said she tripped and fell in the pool and drowned, and her daughter found her.” However, the insider has doubts about that claim. Deanna was the only person present when her mother’s body was found, and the informant told us she doesn’t have the greatest reputation in terms of honesty and transparency. “Never liked gold diggers or people that have to be the center of attraction,” he said, dismissing Deanna as a money-hungry social climber. The source added that Deanna no longer sees Jim Bob as her path to fame and fortune, however. Instead, she now believes her daughter, Amy Duggar, will be the one to put her on the path toward Easy Street. “Her daughter Amy is a chip of the old block,” the source said. He added that Amy briefly attempted to make it as a country singer, but quickly abandoned those plans: “Went to Nashville and a friend of mine up there said she couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket,” he told us. “Just trying to live off the Duggàr name.” Of course, even if it’s true that Mary tripped and fell into a pool while under her daughter’s care, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Deanna is at fault. Even in her later years, Mary was fully mobile and largely self-reliant, and she could have drowned after being left unattended for only a few minutes. Still, it’s not hard to see how her passing may have been the final straw for Jim Bob. He and his sister have been at odds for quite some time, and their relationship became particularly strained in the years since Deanna’s divorce . This was the the same spot at which she and Prince William got married nearly eight years ago and this was an appearance Royal followers expected the Duchess to make. But many were taken by surprise when Harry joined his sister-in-law for the important occasion. Explained the official Instagram account for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, writing as a caption to a photo of Harry in attendance at this gathering: ANZAC Day has been observed annually in London since King George V attended a service at Westminster Abbey, and more than 2,000 Australian and New Zealand troops marched through the streets. When Josh Duggar molested five young girls , he avoided arrest and prosecution with the help of his parents. In the years since the scandal came to light, many Duggar fans have hoped that the long arm of the law would eventually catch up to Josh. According to a new report from Radar Online, Josh has once again been caught breaking the law . But it doesn’t look as though he’ll be imprisoned for his most recent infractions. The site claims that Wholesale Motorcars in Washington County, Arkansas — which Josh has managed since 2015 — has been operating without a permit for the entirety of his tenure. “We have one zoning designation in the county to allow single-family residential or agricultural uses,” a planning official in Washington County told Radar. “Anything else requires a conditional use permit to request a zoning change.” Officials claim Josh just started a business on non-commercial property without notifying the proper authorities. When a local fire marshal noticed Josh’s failure to obtain the proper licensing, he reported the father of five. As we’ve reported in the past, Josh is hated in his hometown , but his father, Jim Bob Duggar, still enjoys a tremendous amount of clout. As such, Josh was given a second chance to comply with the law. “The fire marshal wasn’t going to issue any more extensions,” the planning authority told Radar. “He was requiring that Josh make a good faith attempt, or make effort, toward receiving a review and permit approval, so that’s what he did.” And so, Josh was given time to apply for the mandatory permits and make the necessary repairs — of which there were many. Reports indicate that Josh didn’t display the building’s address anywhere on its exterior (a shady detail if ever there was one)/ Also, his property had no smoke detectors and was generally in a state of disrepair. Of course, the Duggars have violated local zoning laws before, most recently when Jim Bob attempted to open a “luxury RV park” without notifying local officials. The preview goes on to teases numerous fights between cast members, with Lala Kent screaming at James Kennedy‘s girlfriend, Raquel… … with Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz getting into an intense marital spat… … and with a revelation coming out about Ariana Madix‘s past. “You’ve been in a relationship with a girl before,” boyfriend Tom Sandavol says to her during this unexpected exchange. “That is not your business to tell,” Madix fires back. Elsewhere, Stassi Schroeder puts her relatively new relationship with Beau Clark on display for the world to see — and let's just say there's going to be a lot to see. At one point in the promo, Beau tells Stassi: “It’s like you dick-punched my heart.” Ouch. Other highlights include: – Ariana and Stassi at last joining forces for an ice queen-themed joint birthday party. – Tthe launch of Lisa's business venture, Tom Tom, with, well… the Toms, Schwartz and Sandoval. – Billie Lee and Lala getting into a screaming match. – James once again getting let go from SUR. – Oh, and Kristen appears to get very drunk and fall down.
