Travis Scott SLAMMED by Al Sharpton for Halftime Show Hypocrisy

Being as wonderful as she is beautiful,  Rihanna passed on the Super Bowl Halftime Show  in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick. Travis Scott cannot say the same, and has reportedly agreed to perform with Maroon 5. Everyone is pissed, including Al Sharpton, who calls out Travis for selling out. TMZ   caught up with famed and controversial civil rights advocate Al Shaprton and got his opinion on Travis Scott's potential Halftime gig. “I think anyone that goes into the halftime show is in effect directly violating,” Al Sharpton begins. He continues: “those that want to raise the question that the NFL should come to terms with what they have done and continue to do to Colin Kaepernick” “And,” Sharpton continues, it would put them in opposition with “those that protest on criminal justice issues.” In other words, if you put on a show at the behest of an organziation that penalizes and punishes civil rights advocates, you're not the good guy. “You can't tell people to stand for those that take a knee and don't go to the games,” Sharpton continues. He says: “And then say 'but somebody ought to perform there and entertain.'” That's pretty fair. “You're drawing TV viewers, you're bringing supporters,” he points out. Performing at the Halftime show in 2019 would be an endorsement of NFL. Who wants  that  on their conscience? “And,” Sharpton reasons. “I think that you can't have it both ways,”  The  TMZ  interviewer, hoping for a little more words from Sharpton, then poses some complicated questions. For instance, could Travis potentially take the gig, but use the platform to  Famously, Beyonce took charge of the Halftime show in 2016 for exactly that purpose. But that was when Kaepernick was still part of the NFL. Now, he claims that the NFL colluded to force him out. “You can’t help people market something,” Sharpton says. “And then turn around and say you agree with the people protesting.” Sharpton has some advice for Travis Scott. “I think he should do what a lot of other major artists have done,” he suggests. Sharpton recommends that Travis “say 'I'm not going to participate.’”  Travis is a father now, and has to decide what sort of man he wants to be and what sort of world he wants to help make for baby Stormi. “You can't fight against Jim Crow and then go sit in the back of the bus,” Sharpton explains. He makes a lot of statements, but to be fair, the guy made his case very well for a man who's standing in the rain. Travis Scott came under fire over the weekend after an old interview resurfaced. In 2014, long before he was Kylie's famous baby daddy, he gave a radio interview about the infamous murder of Michael Brown in Ferguson. “I'm kind of angry,” Travis said at the time. “So many black people are acting like fake activists.” “I'm not saying that he deserved to get killed,” Travis clarified. “But,” Travis continued. “I'm not saying he didn't deserve to pay for consequences he probably inflicted.” In that same old interview, Travis continued, referring to “the problem with black people.” He disliked the  disruption  in Ferguson that followed Brown's murder. “And I know we're like 'fed up' … with whatever is going on in the culture,” Travis said. “But at the same time,” Travis continued. “You gotta just stop putting yourself in positions where you're continuously having this situation go down.” Many of his fans felt betrayed reading those words. Don't do crimes  is a fine message in general, but not an acceptable response when a man is extrajudicially executed in the street. Now, Travis made these comments more than four years ago. A lot of people's ideas change over time.  Ferguson was a huge catalyst for changing the nation's understanding of the shootings of unarmed black people. But Travis accepting the Halftime show after everything may mean that he still hasn't changed his mind — or hasn't changed it enough. Maybe he'll surprise us all. But reports say that Jay-Z is personally trying to persuade Travis to turn down the offer.

Lala Kent: I’m 60 Days Sober and I Still Hate James Kennedy!

There was a time when it seemed highly unlikely, but believe it or not, the cast of Vanderpump Rules is growing up. Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are engaged ; Stassi Schroeder is dating a guy who doesn’t seem like a colossal douche-nozzle; the Toms have made the leap from Lisa’s lackeys to Lisa’s business partners … But perhaps no one has taken as many steps toward full-blown adulting as Lala Kent. Back in September, we learned that Lala is engaged to film producer Randall Emmett , the man who was once derided by the rest of the cast as Kent’s adulterous sugar daddy. Make no mistake — Emmett is loaded — but it’s not clear that Lala is far more to him than a side-piece. We’re sure Randall’s career will recover from the film Gotti and it’s 0 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, and that he and Lala will snjoy many luxurious years together. But Kent’s biggest achievement of 2018 isn’t landing a wealthy fiance or cementing her place as the most down-to-earth, relatable member of the Vanderpump cast. No, her greatest accomplishment is waging a victorious battle against substance abuse. “Today marks 60 days that I’ve been sober and it’s been the best 60 days that I’ve had in a really long time,” Kent shared in her Instagram story today. “Thank you to my sponsor, thanks to my sober coach, people in my meetings that tell me to keep taking it day by day,” she said, blowing a kiss at the camera. “I love you guys.” The news comes just months after the death of Lala’s father . “I stayed dry this season, most of it, I didn’t drink just because I was so up and down with the emotions with my dad. … I was still kind of in a fog,” Kent said in a recent interview promoting the current season of Vanderpump. “So I think a lot of the stuff I see this season, I’m going to remember after I watch it, I was very foggy and just very emotional at the same time.” In a separate interview from earlier this month, Lala opened up about her decision to get sober: “My fiancé always says I have this sixth sense where I know when things have gotten to a point where they need to change, so I can’t really pinpoint one incident [that marked a turn to sobriety],” she told Cosmopolitan . “When I really came to the conclusion that I am in that zone of having a problem, I just said enough’s enough. I picked up the phone, I called this sponsor that had been recommended to me. It’s the best decision of my whole life.” Kent went on to reveal that her alcohol consumption was never about partying: Drinking for me was medication instead of celebration,” she told the magazine. “Instead of going and talking to somebody about losing someone extremely important to you, we turn to things to medicate. “I just want to make sure that I put my voice out there to say, reach out to someone, reach out to a grief counselor, partner with someone who can make you feel like you’re not by yourself and going completely insane.” Lala didn’t open up about her feelings toward her ex-BFF James Kennedy and his increasingly problematic boozing, but it’s become clear that she’s very much not a fan. (Especially after the way James skewered Gotti on Sunday night’s episode.) We commend Lala on opening up in such candid fashion, and we wish her all the best going forward. Lala Kent: James Kennedy Is the Worst & His Girlfriend Is a Dumbass

Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy is a strong contender for the very worst person to ever appear on a reality TV show. Hear us out on this one: Sure, pre-sobriety Mike Sorrentino engaged in some deplorable behavior. And Jenelle Evans continues to make the world wonder how she still has custody of any of her kids. Hell, you could even make an argument for Kennedy’s castmate Jax Taylor being the biggest POS that’s ever gained fame on basic cable. But to our minds, no one has combined abusive behavior, constant self-pity, unchecked addiction, and rampant infidelity quite like James Kennedy. Fortunately, the Vanderpump cast has become fully fed up with James’ douchiness, including his former friend and apologist Lala Kent. For a long time, James manipulated Lala into believing that she needed him. (Apparently, Kennedy was instrumental in helping her to land her gig on the show.) This is a tactic that’s common to abusers, and fortunately, Lala now sees James for what he is. Sadly, Kennedy’s girlfriend, Raquel Leviss, is still under his spell. This, despite a mountain of evidence that James is cheating on Raquel with any warm body in his vicinity. “I don’t know that I feel badly for her anymore because … it’s like seeing the murder scene and still needing more evidence,” Lala recently told Us Weekly . “It’s like, ‘OK, girl, I can’t even deal.’ Like, you’re killing my brain cells at this point, and I don’t have a lot of those to lose!” Like Stassi Schroeder, Lala is a fan favorite because she’s aware that self-deprecation and likability often go hand-in-hand. The brain cells remark might be a reference to the fact that Kent spent a good number of years boozing and blazing with the rest of the SUR staff before getting sober in October. In speaking with Us Weekly , Kent also jokes that Raquel appears to not be the sharpest tool in the shed — and that’s exactly what Kennedy likes about her. “He is drawn to that because he can get away with everything,” Lala told the tabloid. It’s a sad situation, and it seems that Kristen Doute remains committed to helping Raquel see the truth. But for now, at least, Lala won’t be participating in that mission: “That’s like a dead horse, I wanna let the horse rest in peace,” Lala said. It’s an unusual stance for the star of a reality show that thrives on drama, but like most of the rest of the Vanderpump cast, Lala is growing up. Here’s hoping James can one day join them in that. Jon Gosselin: I’m Bringing Collin Home RIGHT NOW!

Early last month, we heard that Jon Gosselin would have Collin home for Christmas . There was still a lot of uncertainty at the time. Now, that uncertainty has all but vanished. Collin is coming home this week — and possibly even by the end of the day on Tuesday. RadarOnline reports some very good, very timely news about Collin Gosselin’s release. “He is expected to be released December 18 or 19,” an inside source close to the Gosselin family reveals. That’s Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. “Collin will transition out of the facility,” the insider elaborates. Adjusting to life outside of an institution can be more challenging than it sounds, but ultimately, we hope that it will be good for him. “And,” the source concludes, Collin “will finally be home with his dad for good.” Jon is no longer a reality star, and works as a DJ — among other things — to make an income. He can’t always afford to take a great deal of time off, but he has nonetheless made a real effort to see Collin for multiple visits. At first, he wasn’t even sure of the location where Collin was being held. That was Kate’s call. But earlier this year, Hannah began living with Jon full time. Now, he’s prepared to add Collin to the mix. This is great news for Collin and Hannah. And fans who have watched Collin miss multiple birthdays will be relieved to see him allowed around one sibling, at least. After Jon won temporary custody of Collin following Kate skipping out on a custody hearing, Jon was excited. Also excited was family friend and longtime barber Eric Rodriguez. “I asked him if he was excited about going to regular school,” Eric said of his most recent visit with Collin. “And he said, yeah he’s super excited about it,” Eric shared. “He just said he didn’t like his other school that he was in before that facility,” Eric reported. “The one that Kate had him in.” Hopefully, Collin will adjust well to living with Jon, Jon’s girlfriend, and Hannah. As you may recall, Kate banished Collin to a facility in 2016. She said that the place was equipped to handle his “special needs.” Kate was vague about it, claiming that Collin has “anger issues.” Some joked and others seriously pointed out that growing up in Kate’s home could seriously impact mental health. Kate herself wrote about being violent towards Collin. Others suggested that Collin may have simply inherited the unbalanced rage that Kate herself seems to possess. Regardless, Collin is a very young teenager and deserves to live a normal, healthy life if he can. Hannah has been staying with Gosselin since earlier this year, causing quite a stir among fans. Jon has confirmed on multiple occassions that she is residing with him permanently. He has also revealed that Hannah and Collin are the only children who speak to him .  Whether the others have their own issues with Jon or are simply under their mother’s pernicious influence is still up in the air. Families are complicated.

Jax Taylor: Smoking Weed Saved My Life!

Sadly, Vanderpump Rules appears to have entered that stage in the life cycle of every popular reality show in which the cast is too relatively rich and famous to engage in the sort of petty squabbles and public outbursts that made them relatively rich and famous in the first place. (You have to speak in relative terms when it comes to the Vanderpump cast. They’re much more well-known and well-off than most of their viewers, but the eagerness with which they court celebrity fans like Chrissy Teigen reminds you they don’t carry much clout in their Hollywood stomping grounds.) Jersey Shore might stand as the only exception to this rule — a non-competition-based reality show that’s managed to stay fresh past its sixth season. But that’s largely due to the fact that the cast took a several-year hiatus from filming, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro had a baby with a violent psycho . All of this is to say that the Vanderpump Rules cast should probably be grateful that James Kennedy is the most colossal douche in the history of television. Otherwise, you’d just have the happily coupled-up front-of-house staff at an LA restaurant peacefully cruising toward the big 4-0. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, it just doesn’t always make for the most compelling television. Take Jax Taylor, for example. Last year, Jax cheated on his girlfriend, Brittany Cartwright , then proceeded to gaslight her for days once he’d been busted. We should note that Jax has a long history of infidelity, compulsive lying, and abusive behavior, and yet he still has a circle of friends. These days, Jax and Britanny are engaged , and the narrative surrounding Taylor is that he’s “changed his ways” and won’t totally cheat on Cartwright while they’re still in their honeymoon phase. As you may have guessed, we’re a bit skeptical on the topic of Taylor’s miraculous transformation, but anything is possible. Taylor says the death of his father earlier this year was instrumental in helping to turn his life around — but weed helped, too. “I was in a deep rut. I was literally going to lock myself in a room and do enough drugs to hurt myself,” Taylor tells Men’s Health in a newly-published interview. “Brittany was, like, ‘I understand where you’re coming from. I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but can you try something?'”  He says Cartwright encouraged him to get a medical marijuana card, which enabled him to cut back on booze, get back in shape, and be a better partner. “I tried it, and it changed my life,” he said. “I said, ‘You know what? I’m not going to hurt myself. I’m not going to drink. I’m going to flip this around and make my dad proud. I’m going to go to the gym. We’re going to start some businesses. We’re going to move up.'” Taylor is slowly but surely getting there. As we learned from this week’s episode of Vanderpump , he and Cartwright are starting their own “beer cheese” company, which could work, but is sort of an ironic business venture for a guy who just got back into shape. Taylor says he was appalled recently to learn he had gained 100 pounds in 4 years: “I was eating more crap than I was working out. Postmates came out. I can order Doritos from my couch?” he said. ” Making a Murderer marathon is on? I’m not getting off of this couch. I’m going to eat everything in sight. Then you wake up and you’re like, ‘What is that?’ That’s my belly.” Taylor says he was disappointed that his friends didn’t intervene which is hilarious, not only in that he thinks he deserves loyal friends, but also because he thinks he wouldn’t have thrown a tantrum if they’d pointed out to him that he’s packing on the pounds. Roger Mathews Reacts to Restraining Order, Rants Against JWOWW

As Ron Burgundy once said: This sure escalated quickly! About three months after Jenni Farley filed for divorce from Roger Mathews , and about two months after the two sparked rumors of a reconciliation by going out to celebrate their anniversary , the Jersey Shore star has filed for a restraining order. We don't know exactly why. But Mathews himself has given his side of the story through a number of Instagram videos, alleging that some sort of confrontation took place and placing the blame squarely on his estranged wife. We're still sorting through all the details ourselves, but one thing is evident: This $hit is ugly. Read all about what allegedly transpired below…   1. Let’s Set the Stage Here Farley and Mathews got married in October of 2015 and are the parents to Meilani Alexandra, 3, and Greyson Valor, 2. 2. Jenni Filed for Divorce in September 2018 Read the legal complaint from Farley at the time: “The Plaintiff and the Defendant have irreconcilable differences which have caused the breakdown of the marriage for a period of at least six months which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved and that there is no prospect of reconciliation.” 3. But Mathews Wasn’t Having It “I am going to win my wife back,” Roger says in the video above, which he recorded the day after Jenni’s filing, adding: “I have no intentions on being a single dad. We’re in counseling so there is hope. It ain’t over ’till the fat lady sings.” 4. Look at Us, Being All Mature and Amicable! Weeks after Jenni requested her divorce, the couple went out to dinner (as pictured above) in honor of their three-year wedding anniversary. This made it seem like they might get back together at least. 5. But Now? Let’s just say we don’t see these two ever sharing a bed, or a meal, together again. Let us explain why… 6. This is the Short of It: Farley was granted an order of protection against Mathews late Thursday night/early Friday morning. Mathews even got escorted out of their home by the police. View Slideshow

Lala Kent: Which FEMALE Vanderpump Co-Star Did She Hook Up With?

Lala Kent is a late addition to the Vanderpump Rules cast, but unlike other recent attempts to mix some new blood into the potent sangria that is the staff at SUR (We're looking at you, Billie Lee!), Lala has been embraced by both co-stars and viewers. One of the reasons for Lala's popularity is the fact that for the most part, she's more candid and forthcoming than most reality stars. We say “for the most part” because Kent kept her relationship with Randall Emmett under wraps for over a year. But now that that's out in the open, Lala is back to telling it like it is. And #PumpRules Twitter is abuzz today following the revelation that Kent hooked up with one of her female castmates. Take a look: 1. Give Them Lala Lala is the most recent addition to the full-time Vanderpump cast, and while she’s no slouch when it comes to creating drama, she’s also proven to be one of the most likable members of the SUR staff. 2. A Hard Road Of course, it wasn’t always this way. In fact, Lala had an extraordinarily difficult time winning over some of her female castmates. 3. Tequila Katie Katie Maloney, in particular seemed to object to Lala’s presence. 4. Making It Work But in time, Lala won over the ladies of SUR. 5. Frenemies No More These days, Lala and her new BFFs participate in all sorts of bonding activities together, from getting piercings to doing battle with the nefarious shaved ferret that is James Kennedy. 6. Sidepiece No More And despite many predictions to the contrary, Kent has even made the difficult transition from sidepiece to main piece, scoring an engagement ring from her former sugar daddy. Vanderpump Rules Season 7 Trailer: Who Will SURvive?

Vanderpump Rules will kick off Season 7 on Monday, December 3 at 9/8c. But fans need not wait all that time to take a look at all the crazy action and drama to come. In the explosive trailer featured here, fans will see all the fan favorites and not-so-favorites gathered around to celebrate Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor actually being engaged. “Tonight is the night where many of us thought would never happen,” Lisa Vanderpump says at the engagement party, adding: “He has had a very emotional year, as a few other people here have.” That's an understatement. The preview goes on to teases numerous fights between cast members, with Lala Kent screaming at James Kennedy‘s girlfriend, Raquel… … with Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz getting into an intense marital spat… … and with a revelation coming out about Ariana Madix‘s past. “You’ve been in a relationship with a girl before,” boyfriend Tom Sandavol says to her during this unexpected exchange. “That is not your business to tell,” Madix fires back. Elsewhere, Stassi Schroeder puts her relatively new relationship with Beau Clark on display for the world to see — and let's just say there's going to be a lot to see. At one point in the promo, Beau tells Stassi: “It’s like you dick-punched my heart.” Ouch.  Other highlights include: – Ariana and Stassi at last joining forces for an ice queen-themed joint birthday party. – Tthe launch of Lisa's business venture, Tom Tom, with, well… the Toms, Schwartz and Sandoval. – Billie Lee and Lala getting into a screaming match. – James once again getting let go from SUR. – Oh, and Kristen appears to get very drunk and fall down. Audrey Roloff Shares Ember Update: She’s 8 Months Now!

Melting hearts since SeptEMBER of 2017. See what I did there. So wrote Audrey Roloff in a very cute opening to her latest Instagram post, which was centered entirely on daughter Ember Jean. And for good reason: Ember is now 8 months old! As she has done nearly every month around this time since her child entered the world, Audrey updated fans on Ember's status, sharing a number of new (and PRECIOUS!) photos, while also giving us an idea of what the infant has been up to. The answer? A whole lot! Scroll down for more: 1. She’s on the Move! “These photos are getting harder and harder to take! Our girlsie is getting more and more mobile,” wrote Audrey about her eight-month old, who is apparently crawling all around. 2. Look Out, Kitty! “She still loves to chase Pine,” continued Audrey, referencing the cat she shares with husband Jeremy and who Little People, Big World fans have gotten to know well. 3. Aloha! Jax Taylor: I’m Finally Gonna Kick James Kennedy’s Ass!

Over the past two seasons of Vanderpump Rules viewers witnessed two very perplexing inverse trends: For some reason, as James Kennedy’s behavior became even more deplorable, he somehow came to enjoy greater popularity with his castmates. For the third season in a row, Kennedy behaved abusively toward women, disrespected his relationship with his long-suffering girlfriend, forced unwanted advances on a female friend who’s made it very clear that she has no interest in him romantically, and of course, stabbed his “friends” in the back as part of his never-ending quest for more screentime. The situation was so bad that by midseason, fans were calling for Kennedy to be fired from the show. And yet, not only is he still an employee of both Bravo and Lisa Vanderpump, he’s been rewarded for his behavior with increased popularity among his older co-stars, who should really know better. All season, viewers have been warning the rest of the cast that James is sure to eventually remind them of why he was kept at arms’ length for so long, but for whatever reason, they ignored the pleas for sanity. As a result, on the Vanderpump reunion finale that aired last night, James was on good terms with the entire cast – except for Lala Kent, whom he sent running from the stage in tears. Of course, the reunion was taped several weeks ago, and change is the only constant in the lives of WeHo’s drunkest posse of ex-models. So it should come as no surprise that Jax Taylor has since seen the light and once again considers James his mortal enemy. As you may recall, the show’s latest season began with the revelation that Jax cheated on Brittany Cartwright with Faith Stowers. In the months that followed, Jax and Brittany worked hard to save their relationship, and recently, their reborn love was tested and strengthened by the death of Taylor’s father . So you can see why Jax’s infidelity might not be the couple’s favorite topic of conversation. And yet knowing all that, James decided to sing a song about it the incident in front of a packed club. “I had many one too many of the Pumptinis last night and I brought up the whole Faith thing again… over the mic,” Kennedy said during a recent podcast interview. “I was just like, ‘Oh hey, you banged Faith, remember?’ I just reminded everyone and I didn’t know Brittany was in the room at the time.” At that point, Tom Sandoval interjected and pointed out that that version of events is a bit too charitable to James: “I heard that you were like, ‘Jax and Faith! Jax and Faith!’” Sandoval said. “If Scheana said that, then maybe I did that… maybe. But I apologized this morning. I said, ‘I’m sorry’ to Jax. He’s still very angry with me,” James said, adding: “I made a little mistake last night. Perfect timing since filming starts in two weeks. I must say. You gotta keep it spicy somehow!”  Of course, what James calls “spicy” others might call “the further victimization of a woman who’s already endured a tremendously difficult year.” We bet you can guess which category Jax falls into: “Brittany went in to go see him and say hi Tuesday night at SUR. He literally gave her a hug, she walked maybe four feet away, and he started rapping a song called Jax and Faith. And Brittany started bawling her eyes out,” Jax revealed on a different podcast. “Crying, embarrassed in front of everybody at SUR and she had to be escorted out. She was literally mortified.” He added: “How could you do that to somebody and literally look her in the face and start rapping about this? It’s on, and sh*t’s going to come out about you, and I’m not going to hold back.” As you can see, Jax has been tweeting about the incident in such a way that’s led fans to the conclusion that he’s planning to finally unleash the ass-whupping that James so richly deserves. When one Twitter user implored Jax to relax and reminded him that James isn’t worth going to jail for, Taylor replied, simply: “Yes, he is.” So it’s bad news for James, who may not have much time left on this earth. But it’s great news for fans of Vanderpump drama, as well as haters of generic, repetitive EDM. Watch Vanderpump Rules online to relive one seriously bonkers season.
