The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) recently spoke out about Lil’ B ‘s recently announced album title, I’m Gay . During his recent Coachella performance, Lil’ B says the album title is meant to show that words don’t really matter. A spokesperson for GLAAD tells XXL that they are supportive of the album title… to a point. As a lyricist, Lil B knows that words matter. Slurs have the power to fuel intolerance. We hope that Lil B’s album title is not just a gimmick, and is really a sincere attempt to be an ally. He has the platform and the voice. We hope he uses it in a positive way.
