Adam Lambert has performed with current Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor on many occasions, dating back to the 2009 American Idol finale. So fans around the country have been waiting for the following announcement: the trio is going on tour together! “This happened organically with Adam,” May said this morning at a press conference. “People are going to ask whether it’s Queen without [late singer Freddie Mercury]. I don’t know. We just want to go out there one more time. Adam isn’t an imitator. We’re going into new territory.” Way back in 2009, it was rumored that Lambert would actually join this iconic rock band full-time. Leah tries to teach Ali to swim, and she’s crushed regarding how many more difficulties and fears she faces than Aleeah due to muscular dystrophy. Ali struggles the entire time the family is at an amusement park, and Aleeah acts out because Ali and Adalynn consistently demand more attention. Leah also worries about the strain of raising her three girls when Jeremy is away for work, which takes up a lot of his time even though it supports them. In mediation, Kailyn’s lawyer advises her to consider offering week-long visits with Jo and Isaac during the summer, to help both with the switch. Jo’s lawyer says because Javi is in the military, they may face may more moves around the U.S. that will affect Isaac’s relationship with his dad. The case is delayed once again, so this was basically filler … except that Kailyn’s anxiety is rising and she doesn’t know how much of it she can take. The primary takeaways from Dance Moms Season 4 Episode 5 were that no one is safe … and nothing is bigger than Abby Lee Miller’s dance tutelage. Nothing. Melissa pulled her kids of our school to spend more time training, and Jill considered the same, making it clear where their priorities lie (frighteningly). Social commentary aside, Dance Moms Season 4 Episode 5 found Kendall, Brooke, her sister Paige, and Mackenzie in the pyramid’s bottom tier. Nia and Maddie were second; Chloe got the top spot. Abby conjured up a dance routine based on the civil rights movement, which just sounds like it would be offensive and tacky, but no one’s objecting. When the venerable mentor suggests that Christi homeschool Chloe because it’s worked so effectively for Maddie, Chloe commendably declines. Mature beyond her years, that youngster. Respect. At the competition, Mackenzie got the team off to a strong start … or not. Abby concluded that any one of the team members could be dispatched. Ouch. She’s always a taskmaster, that Abby. Nonetheless, the girls received a standing ovation for the group routine, with Holly front and center in the aforementioned, controversial civil rights-themed dance. How did the results shake out after this? Maddie and the trio won the top prize, but Mackenzie only finished second, a pill made even tougher to swallow by Abby’s commentary and comparisons. It’s the hot American Idol talk making all the rounds and creating all the buzz: Adam Lambert is under serious consideration to be a Season 12 judge. There’s just one problem: this is news to Adam Lambert. Speaking to U.K. radio station Capital FM yesterday, the former runner-up sounded excited but cautious about the possibility, referring to it as a “beautiful rumor.” “I’m just hearing about this today,” Adam said. “Listen, if – and I say ‘if’ with a capital I-F – if they were to approach me and if they were to say, ‘We want you to be a judge on the show,’ I would love that. I would jump at the chance. “I owe my career to American Idol . I mean, if it weren’t for American Idol , I doubt that… I would be sitting here with you… I think it would be really exciting to be sitting at a judging panel and trying to help people reach their dreams.” Aside from Lambert, chatter persists that Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj and others are up for American Idol judging spots . Adam Lambert covers the latest issue of Instinct , a magazine that focuses on the LGBT community – and opens up to the publication on a topic that may cause some controversy for the former American Idol star. “As a community, we’re a little bit resistant to a gay male pop star ourselves,” Lambert says. “It’s very easy for people to look at my origin, which is American Idol , and automatically assume that I’m a commercial sellout or a puppet or a flash in the pan. “I don’t think I’m any of those things. There’s something weird there. We’re very eager to celebrate a strong female. But to celebrate a fellow gay man – it gets catty sometimes.” The artist will soon be coming out with a new album, one he has described as especially personal , and he elaborated here regarding what fans can expect: “This is the kind of music I listen to. I know the style of vocal I have is kind of big. It has a certain edge to it. Adam Lambert is simply a “crazy hedonistic rebel who wants to liberate the masses.” That’s what this former American Idol star says in the latest issue of Fault , explaining to the magazine how his public persona does not always jibe with his private one. “I’m not always as strong and confident as I may seem,” Adam says. “I work hard to project pride and poise when faced with judgement and heartache. That is how I cope. I feel a bit of pressure to set a certain example that suggests that I deserve my place in this industry. I’m hard on myself and critical.” And how does his upcoming album, “Tresspassing,” play into this dichotomy? “There are songs on [the CD] that deal with that anxiety,” he says. “Until I met my current boyfriend ( Sauli Koskinen ), I was always falling for the wrong guys, which caused my self worth to suffer. This is just some of what the album explores.” The album was originally scheduled for a March release, but has now been pushed back so Adam can “work on some new songs,” as he Tweeted a couple weeks ago.
