Teen Mom Dads, Husbands & Boyfriends Ranked: Who’s #1?!

So how great are all those guys on Teen Mom, huh?! Such remarkable specimens of manhood, every one of them, filled to the brim with integrity, compassion, and grace. … Wait, like 85% of them are completely terrible human beings ? Well, huh. Sure, some of them baby daddies are awful, but some of the aren't! Some of them are kind of OK, and a few are even great ! Check out our ranking of all the Teen Mom fellas, from best to worst. And prepare to be amazed, as always, at the level of awfulness on this show. 1. Cole DeBoer Cole DeBoer is Chelsea Houska’s husband, and thank goodness for that. He’s a wonderful stepfather to Aubree (and he’s made it clear that he’s ready to adopt her if/when Adam gives up his parental rights for her like he did with his other child), he and Chelsea have had two precious babies together so far, and ever since he first came on the show, he’s been perfect. He’s an easy number one, y’all. 2. Taylor McKinney Taylor McKinney is Maci Bookout’s husband, and they share two children together, Jayde and Maverick — and they’re often talking about having more, whether it’s through more pregnancies or fostering and adoption. They’re also raising Bentley, the son Maci had with Ryan Edwards, and it’s safe to say that Taylor is doing all the heavy dad lifting there, too. Sure, Taylor drinks Bud Light like it’s water and he’s in a desert, but he’s an amazing father. 3. Tyler Baltierra Tyler Baltierra has been with Catelynn Lowell since they were 12 years old (yes, literally), and when she got pregnant at 16, they placed their daughter up for adoption. They’ve since had two more children, daughters Nova and Vaeda, and they’ve been through just a lot of stuff together. He can be pretty insensitive sometimes, but he’s proven that he’s one of the best dads and husbands in the whole franchise. 4. Gary Shirley Let’s just say it: Gary was not great in the early days of Teen Mom. He never did anything to deserve being abused by Amber, to be clear, but he was kind of a jerk. Fortunately he’s matured a bit over the years, and he seems like a great father to Leah and Emilee, the daughter he shares with wife Kristina. And thank goodness for that, because it looks like Amber may be headed back to prison soon. 5. Andrew Glennon Oh, Andrew … where do we begin? He loses points for his history of restraining orders, but the way he’s stepped up for baby James after Amber’s horrifying meltdown in July is definitely commendable. Since the arrest, we’ve heard plenty of evidence that’s proved that she’d been abusing him for nearly a year before the July assault, and Andrew has said that she’d even been rough with James, too. It looks like he’s placing James’ safety and wellbeing above all else, and if that’s not being a good dad, what is? 6. Corey Simms Corey Simms was married to Leah Messer, and they had twins Ali and Gracie. They got divorced when Leah couldn’t stay faithful to him (and also because they had twins and got married when they were teenagers), but Corey’s been a good father, and a good coparent with Leah. Tyler Baltierra: Heck Yeah I’m in Touch With My Feminine Side!

Tyler Baltierra has had his ups and downs, getting praised and dad-shamed from one day to the next. This time, a follower came forward with a comment — that Tyler is very in touch with his feminine side. Tyler agrees 100%, and his response should be read by men (especially dads) all across the globe. “You seem to be very comfortable with your feminine side,” one of Tyler’s followers recently commented. Tyler replied: “It has never bothered me.” He recalled: “I was always told as a kid that I was ‘too feminine.'” That is, of course, both an absurd and a hateful thing to say to a child. Fortunately, Tyler overcame those criticisms without letting them warp his perspective. “But I was raised in a household as the only boy,” Tyler explained. “With my single mother and my older sister.” This was absolutely to his benefit. “I think I was blessed to be raised without the idea that I have to trade my sensitive emotions for masculinity,” he reflected. Tyler affirmed: “I was raised by a very strong FEMININE woman.” “And,” he concluded. “I am not ashamed of it at all!” Tyler left the comment, but that wasn’t the end of it. Realizing how important the point that he had made was, he took a screenshot. He then uploaded the image to his Instagram Stories, highlighting the text so that it could not be missed. It’s a lesson that he wants to impart upon his fans and followers. Not all of the baby daddies of Teen Mom are people who should be giving out life advice, but Tyler has a good head on his shoulders. It’s not clear if the commenter to whom Tyler responded was trying to give a compliment or to be shady. To be clear, their words were complimentary. Some people, however, would take those words as an insult. Those people have no business around children. Notice how Tyler didn’t accuse the commenter of levying criticism and also didn’t take it as a compliment. He simply replied to the statement at face value, which is a good tactic when you don’t know the original poster’s intentions. Tyler has faced “criticisms” before over the way that he styles himself and takes care of his body. Rumors that he may be bisexual have circulated for years. Tyler has done a reasonably good job of swatting rumors that he is bi or gay without overdoing it and coming across as homophobic. For the record, taking care of your health and caring about your appearance are not based upon gender and sexuality. Those are just things that people can do or not do for themselves. And if Tyler sets off some people’s “gaydar” … it really doesn’t matter. Only he gets to define his sexuality. The fact of the matter is that Tyler is a father of daughters, and his connection to his feminine side makes him a better dad. He can play with his daughters without being self-conscious or haunted by pernicious ideas that toxic masculinity implanted in his mind. Nova is already benefitting from that. Vaeda will do the same. Farrah Abraham Supports Amber Portwood: You’re Just as Good a Mom as I Am!

Last month, Amber Portwood was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly attacking Andrew Glennon while he held their son. Now, she's getting support from a former castmate — and quite possibly the last person you'd expect. Farrah Abraham is cheering on Amber, telling her that she knows that she can make it as a single mom. “I mean, I wish her all the best,” Farrah expresses in her interview with HollywoodLife . She continues: “It's really sad that … I think it's just like everyone is saying. She has to focus on her health and her well-being.” “I know it hurts, as a mom, to have your kids taken away,” Farrah adds. “I know it hurts to sometimes make wrong choices and get off the beaten path that she wants to be on,” she notes. “And the more that we all talk about that, that she talks about that, that's awesome,” Farrah raves. “For Amber,” Farrah says. “My message would be, ‘I wish you all the best and I know how that feels, and I understand.’” “I’m empathetic to what she’s going through,” the reality villain affirms. “But I really really hope that she can be alone, go solo, be a solo girl,” Farrah expresses. “And,” she continues. “Be that strong independent fierce woman that I know is inside of her.” Farrah notes that Amber is a person who is strong “and who can easily have two kids on her own.” Now, Farrah is the first to admit that she is out of the loop and has been since she left Teen Mom OG in a huff. “They’ve definitely probably splitted ways after that,” Farrah muses. “I can only imagine,” she says with sympathy. “This is her second go round of her losing custody of a child,” Farrah notes. “And,” she concludes. “I’m sure that’s not taken lightly.” A little piece of advice for everyone? Firework displays just aren't that important. They're noisy pollution sources. But reports say that it was over a missed firework show that Amber lost her temper and allegedly attacked Andrew. With a shoe, she allegedly pummeled him while he held their child, and even demanded that he set down James. She also allegedly hacked at a door with a machete — an image from everyone's nightmares — in her fury. We are so glad that Andrew escaped with minimal injuries and that 1-year-old James was physically unharmed. Despite what sounds like a one-sided incident, Farrah is not the first Teen Mom star (past or present) to sympathize with Amber. Catelynn Lowell voiced her support for Amber with a message that could only be interpreted as “believe attackers!” She and Maci Bookout both showed up in court in to root for Team Amber. It may be that they're simply siding with their friend out of habit. Others have suggested that perhaps Amber's mental health made her actions in July fully outside of her control. Perhaps the court and a series of expert witnesses will decide that. This is not Amber's first arrest for domestic violence. Famously, years ago, she attacked baby daddy Gary Shirley. The violence was caught on camera. Amber managed to strike a deal that would have avoided prison time, but ended up behind bars anyway. Most had hoped that she had learned her lesson and gotten the help that she needed. No one ever has the right to strike or otherwise attack a member of their family. Catelynn Lowell Shares Soul-Shatteringly Cute Snap of Baby Vaeda

After all of the pointless  mom-shaming that Catelynn Lowell  has endured, it’s great to see something positive. And it doesn’t get more positive than the unspeakably adorable photo of Vaeda that Catelynn shared. Brace yourselves: this little cutie is too precious for words. Take a look: Catelynn Lowell is a proud mom and she’s more than happy to share a glimpse at her youngest daughter. Taking to Instagram, Catelynn uploaded a snap of 5-month-old Vaeda seated in her little chair. “This little munchkin just ate her breakfast,” Catelynn captioned the photo. “And,” she remarked. “Sissy is STILL sleeping.” Take a look at how mind-shatteringly adorable baby Vaeda is. Look at that expresion! There’s a point in each baby’s life where they cross that special  personality  milestone. You start to see a glint of thought and personal identity in their eyes. You see the intelligence there. Vaeda is clearly in that zone and she’s just too adorable for words. Of course, she’s not the only adorable little girl in that household. Nova may have been sound asleep when Vaeda had her breakfast, but that didn’t mean that she slept the day away. Soon, she came downstairs, with messy hair and a bright pink nightgown. Catelynn took it upon herself to offer fans and followers an update. “Sissy finally just woke up,” Catelynn captioned this photo, followed by a red heart emoji. “Gosh our girls are beautiful,” she added, tagging Tyler Baltierra. She’s absolutely correct, there, and Tyler commented with a series of emojis to show that he was in 100% agreement. Catelynn and Tyler are much more certain of their love and their relationship these days. Last year, they were feeling much less certain about things. Tyler moved out temporarily as part of a trial separation. Unsure about their future, Catelynn considered not having Vaeda so as to not bring her into an already broken home. Fortunately, she and Tyler have worked through so many issues that once seemed impossible to resolve. Catelynn and Tyler have another child in addition to Nova and Vaeda: Carly. But they are her birth parents. They made a difficult but courageous choice to put her up for adoption when they were 17. Catelynn recently opened up about how difficult it can be to be “birth parents,” especially when it comes to your other children. “That’s another hard part of being birth parents… explaining to ur children why we can’t be with the other child on birthdays etc.” Catelynn remarked. “But,” she noted. “As our kids get older the more they will understand and the more we can explain.” Honestly? Despite their troubles as individuals and as a couple, Catelynn and Tyler seem like one of the most solid couples in the franchise. After all, they’ve been together since they were really just kids themselves. They’re also devoted parents who, these days, work on addressing their own issues instead of just letting mental health problems fester. A lot of Teen Mom kids would benefit from having parents like these two. Especially if it meant that they could be as cute as little Vaeda. Catelynn Lowell: I Considered an Abortion When I Was Pregnant With Vaeda

Their trial separation did nothing but prove that Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierre really do love each other . But the time that they spent apart was difficult, especially because Catelynn was pregnant at the time. In fact, she has now come forward to reveal that, while she was pregnant with Vaeda, she contemplated an abortion. On Monday night’s Teen Mom OG , Catelynn spoke very frankly about the difficult decisions that she faced. “There was points I was like, I’m going to f–king move everything and leave and he’s going to come home to nothing,” she tells a producer. That is an understandable an not an uncommon impulse, especially during a trial separation.  “There’s still sometimes where I’m like, man I feel really guilty,” Catelynn confesses. She explains: “I feel guilty for even contemplating aborting Vaeda.” Catelynn then expresses a truly endaring concern — that Vaeda will mystically inherit the knowledge of her mother’s huge decision. “Like,” Catelynn wonders. “Is she going to remember that?” “They say when you’re pregnant, things that you go through in life, things that you say and stuff, they feel and they hear,” she worries. Fortunately, in real life, no — a fetus may experience a wash of adrenaline or certain hormones. It’s not just that complicated thoughts aren’t magically transmitted to one’s womb — a fetus would have no way of understanding the mother’s thoughts. “We were going through so much in our relationship and stuff,” Catelynn says of why she wondered if it was the right time for another child. “I was just like, is it smart to bring a child into this world if me and him aren’t going to be together?” she explains. “I remember talking to him about it, crying,” Catelynn recalls. “Like maybe I should just abort this baby” “And,” she describes. “He was like, ‘No.'” Catelynn is ultimately “glad” she didn’t go through with it, but notes: “at the time, it was a thought in my mind.” Between a heavy conversation during one of their “date nights” and the pregnancy, Tyler says that hew as truly motivated to fix their marriage. “I knew I cannot bring another kid into the world together and not working on these things,” he explains. That is very responsible. He admits that Catelynn considering an abortion had “really freaked me out.” Tyler says that he knew “in my heart, in my spirit” that the two of them would unite and “parent this baby.” Tyler also addressed Catelynn’s concern that Vaeda would somehow “feel” Catelynn’s indecision. “Whatever happened in the womb,” he assures his wife. Tyler continues: “Your love and life and giving it to her is going to outweigh anything that happened the nine months she was growing inside you.” “You’re really strong,” he affirms to the mother of his children. That is really precious and it sounds like exactly the right thing to say. Catelynn really, truly doesn’t need to worry that Vaeda will magically intuit much of anything from her pregnancy. Stress, malnutrition, and drug use can absolutely impact a developing fetus. It doesn’t make the baby born with special adult knowledge. But that’s a fine conversation for Catelynn to have with Vaeda one day. “I wanted to make absolutely sure that your father and I could give you your best chance,” she could tell Vaeda. “We realized that we could,” Catelynn can continue. “So we decided to bring you into the world.” It’s as simple as that. For well over a year, reports of a feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have dominated tabloid headlines. The Dueling Duchesses, as they were dubbed by the British media simply couldn’t seem to get along, or even pretend to get along enough to fool the public. This was not, royal “insiders” insisted, a case of the press creating a false catfight narrative out of whole cloth, simply because that’s always what the press does with powerful women. No, this was a case of two of the most influential women in the world clashing so brutally that they were unable to hide their bad blood from London royal-watchers. And for a while there, it seemed the press was really on to something here. Meghan and Kate did not seem to like each other, as evidenced by their coolness toward one another in public, as well as Meghan and Harry’s decision to move out of Kensington Palace , the home they once shared with Will and Kate. But as new information about the spat became public knowledge, a very different narrative began to take shape. Insiders claimed that it was William and Harry who were feuding , not Meg and Kate. And recent photos and footage of Kate and Meghan enjoying each other’s company at Wimbledon seem to serve as evidence that the duchesses do not dislike each other at all. So did they really keep their distance and go to such great pains to disentangle their lives simply because their husbands couldn’t get along? Well, not quite … According to a new report from The Sun , the rumors are true, and Meghan has had a hard time gaining acceptance with several members of the royal family, including pseudo-royals like Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton. Pippa has no royal title, and officially, she has little to no clout within the Windsor clan. Unofficially, however, Pippa is surprisingly influential as a woman who’s very well-liked in a number of important social circles. And apparently, she and Meghan had to work hard to get to a point where they could peacefully co-exist: “On paper, Pippa and Meghan seem like a match made in heaven, as they are both good cooks, enjoy exercise and are wealthy mums with small baby sons,” an insider tells the tabloid. “Reality check is she is never going to be more than an American duchess married to Prince Harry who was hurtful to Pippa’s sister and who wants to rewrite the rules for the monarchy in the 21st century,” the insider adds. Yes, it seems Meg is still viewed as somewhat of a threat, due to her Americanness and her progressive views. And as much as they may not like each other, it seems Pippa is best at keeping the Duchess of Sussex in check: “Pippa is way too savvy to fall for all of that. Pippa will be more than capable of dealing with Meghan,” the source continues. “She is a seasoned old Marlburian brought up with good manners, clever and tough enough not to let light in on her sisterly frustrations with the Duchess of Sussex, particularly over the treatment Meghan meted out to Kate. “Meghan realises just what a close-knit family these girls come from, the support from parents Michael and Carol is unwavering.” Yes, it seems Pippa is still not happy with the way Meghan behaved toward Kate at some point (even though Kate seems to be over it). As a result, Pip seems to function in a sort of attack dog capacity, willing — if need to be — to do and say the things Kate can’t. “Pippa has a long memory say Edinburgh Uni chums. She has a rather hands-off relationship with Meghan and her overriding loyalty is to her sister,” the informant adds. “At the end of the day, there is a cordial friendship but an enduring closeness between Pippa and Meghan is never going to happen,” says the source. “Pippa will not be seen encouraging Meghan to pop by her Chelsea house, though visits have been made with Harry in tow.” We’re just gonna go ahead and assume that not encouraging someone to pop by your house in Chelsea is, like, the ultimate diss among UK socialites. Leah Messer: Jeremy Calvert Divorced Me Because of My Generous Heart

More and more fans are convinced that Leah Messer should get back with Jeremy Calvert . But their breakup was years ago, and there were a lot of factors involved in that split. In fact, Leah is now opening up about the role that money played in their divorce. Last week, Leah spoke on her podcast, Pressing Pause to Reboot . She and her co-star, Kailyn Lowry, spoke on a topic of interest to many, many Teen Mom fans — what they do with their massive paychecks. Years ago, Leah was known for compulsive, unsustainable spending habits (among other struggles). She has now put that behind her. Leah does confirm that, both then and now, the size of her paychecks has made her into a very generous person. For example, Leah says that she handed over a whopping $40,000 to her father, Gary Lee Miller. She explained to Kailyn that she did this “just to keep [him] around.” Leah does admit that she was, at times, a little too eager to bend overbackwards to help her family. “I would cut my own throat to hand money over to other people,” she characterized. That is a very kind way of looking at the world, but not a very healthy habit — and it looks like Leah knows that. “I always want people to know I’m still that humble person,”:Leah explained of her motivations. “And I felt [that in] giving to everyone,” she reasoned. “I would get in return.” That is very sweet … and also a recipe for being taken advantage of. “It hurt me, like, it caused one of my divorces, with Jeremy,” Leah revealed. She says that it helped break them up “because I would be giving to everyone.” While that wasn’t the only factor that ended their marriage, we can see how constant generosity could put a strain on a healthy marriage. Leah says that she would give out money to her family to help with “cars and houses and this and that.” Her real fear, she told Kailyn, was being seen as “this stuck-up” reality TV star. It’s totally possible to buy affection, even from your family, but it’s a slippery slope. Eventually, Leah realized that, and she ended up setting down some firm and important boundaries. For example, she warns that if she loans someone cash and does not get repaid, “you will never get a loan” from Leah “ever again.” Part of what has fans bringing up Jeremy again is that they’re relieved that Jason Jordan is out of the picture. Leah, at least, knew that Jason needed to be out of her life and out of the lives of her children. “We’ve had a lot of disagreements lately on parenting,” Leah revealed. “He gets openly angry,” she explained. “He gets upset and takes it out on everyone.” That’s a sign of a very toxic person and a very terrible parent. “There was always an expectation I could never meet. What I did was never enough,” Leah lamented. She described: “I could get up, cook breakfast, have all the kids ready, go watch his kid, it wasn’t enough.” If Leah and Jeremy do end up getting back together, there’s a real chance that things could be different this time. It has been years since their divorce. Leah has grown into one of the most level-headed mothers in Teen Mom history. And we imagine that Jeremy would feel less stressed now that Leah has set up some firm boundaries on the loans that she gives out. But will they get back together? They’ve been seen hanging out. Teen Mom Star Jenelle Evans White Woman Weeps After Being Called Out By Nessa Over Anti-Kaep Posts

Jenelle Evans Rule number two in the White Privilege handbook — when confronted on your ish by a person of color, start crying crocodile tears. Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans all about that handbook, because she definitely pulled a page out of it on Monday after being confronted by Teen Mom 2 co-host Nessa Diab on her anti-Kaepernick, pro-Trump social media post. Nessa, who usually stays out of the casts drama, decided to call out the reality star on her blatant hypocrisy. During the season, Jenelle got pissed at co-star Amber who made accusatory comments on social media about her husband David — but Jenelle turned around and did the same thing to Nessa about her boyfriend, Colin Kaepernick . Nessa stayed true to her calm, chill nature — but clearly, Jenelle didn’t want the smoke. The HOT 97 host stated: “When I saw those comments, I did not attack you online, nor did I disrespect you over the years. My man uses his platform to peacefully protest police brutality against black people…that is the issue…I would’ve appreciated it if you contacted me.” An emotional Jenelle responded: “I honestly have no idea who your boyfriend is…I would like to see [the comments] because what if it was an ad…was it an ad? I’m highly confused right now. I don’t know anything about your husband, and I don’t know anything about what you’re even talking about. I swear to god, I’m done with this bullsh*t. This is exactly why I didn’t want to f*cking come here. This is about my storyline, and you want to bring up your issues? Okay. You got your show.” After the Teen Mom stormed off the stage, Nessa continued on, explaining to Dr. Drew and the audience why she brought up the situation during the show. “I’ve known Jenelle over the years, and I’ve always been fair and just to her. It wouldn’t have been authentic to who I am to be on this stage with someone who disrespected my family on social media.” Clearly, certain folks can dish out the drama, but can take it when their confronted about it. Meghan Markle: Did ANOTHER Royal Staffer Quit Because of the Diva Duchess?

In fairy tales and Hallmark movies, marrying a prince is usually a sign of a happy ending. But as Meghan Markle has spent the last eight months discovering, in real life, a royal wedding can be the start of a very difficult transition. The months since Meghan married Prince Harry have been marked by some dizzying highs ( Meghan is expecting her first child !), but also some painful lows. Most of the trouble has come from Meghan’s awful family, who have devoted themselves to attempting to destroy the duchess’ public image. But there have been reports of considerable strife within Kensington Palace, as well. In addition to Meghan’s alleged feud with Kate Middleton , there have numerous shakeups within the royal staff, several of which have been attributed to Meghan. The tabloid media has spilled a considerable amount of ink on the topic of Meghan driving royal staffers to quit. And while it’s true that two high-profile palace employees have resigned from their posts in the past three months, one was one was occupying an interim position and the other never blamed Meghan for her decision to quit. But now another highly-visible member of the royal staff has decided to step down, and you can be sure that Meghan will take the blame once again. According to London’s Sunday Times , a Scotland Yard officer who was assigned to be Meghan’s bodyguard lasted just six months in the job. Insiders say the issue was not the guard’s performance, but the fact that Meghan resents being watched so closely. “Unlike someone who has grown up in the royal family and has been used to having close protection from an early age, it can be constraining,” says a source. “Even though [Meghan] was a famous actress, she could still do what she wanted in the way of getting around freely.” The insider adds: “But in her current role she can’t go anywhere without her protection team, and that’s a massive constraining force on an individual like her.” So for the moment, it seems, Meghan is guard-less. We doubt that palace officials will permit that to be a permanent state of affairs — so hopefully they’ll be able to find Meghan a replacement who will allow her a bit more freedom. Unfortunately for the former Suits star, freedom is one of the amenities that’s typically sacrificed by members of the Royal Family. Jenelle Evans: Will She Quit Teen Mom 2?

Walking garbage pile David Eason was fired from Teen Mom 2 for one of his many bigoted rants against gay and trans folks. In a new interview with Us Weekly , Jenelle Evans is finally addressing whether or not she plans to quit the show, too. She shares her regrets about the show. She also opens up about that scary 911 call, just a few months ago. Crying into the phone, she told the operator that her husband had slammed her to the ground, injuring her. Jenelle tries — and fails — to assure fans that David's a totally nice guy, actually . Take a look and decide if Jenelle has convinced you. 1. Is Jenelle going to quit?
