Teen Mom Dads, Husbands & Boyfriends Ranked: Who’s #1?!

So how great are all those guys on Teen Mom, huh?! Such remarkable specimens of manhood, every one of them, filled to the brim with integrity, compassion, and grace. … Wait, like 85% of them are completely terrible human beings ? Well, huh. Sure, some of them baby daddies are awful, but some of the aren't! Some of them are kind of OK, and a few are even great ! Check out our ranking of all the Teen Mom fellas, from best to worst. And prepare to be amazed, as always, at the level of awfulness on this show. 1. Cole DeBoer Cole DeBoer is Chelsea Houska’s husband, and thank goodness for that. He’s a wonderful stepfather to Aubree (and he’s made it clear that he’s ready to adopt her if/when Adam gives up his parental rights for her like he did with his other child), he and Chelsea have had two precious babies together so far, and ever since he first came on the show, he’s been perfect. He’s an easy number one, y’all. 2. Taylor McKinney Taylor McKinney is Maci Bookout’s husband, and they share two children together, Jayde and Maverick — and they’re often talking about having more, whether it’s through more pregnancies or fostering and adoption. They’re also raising Bentley, the son Maci had with Ryan Edwards, and it’s safe to say that Taylor is doing all the heavy dad lifting there, too. Sure, Taylor drinks Bud Light like it’s water and he’s in a desert, but he’s an amazing father. 3. Tyler Baltierra Tyler Baltierra has been with Catelynn Lowell since they were 12 years old (yes, literally), and when she got pregnant at 16, they placed their daughter up for adoption. They’ve since had two more children, daughters Nova and Vaeda, and they’ve been through just a lot of stuff together. He can be pretty insensitive sometimes, but he’s proven that he’s one of the best dads and husbands in the whole franchise. 4. Gary Shirley Let’s just say it: Gary was not great in the early days of Teen Mom. He never did anything to deserve being abused by Amber, to be clear, but he was kind of a jerk. Fortunately he’s matured a bit over the years, and he seems like a great father to Leah and Emilee, the daughter he shares with wife Kristina. And thank goodness for that, because it looks like Amber may be headed back to prison soon. 5. Andrew Glennon Oh, Andrew … where do we begin? He loses points for his history of restraining orders, but the way he’s stepped up for baby James after Amber’s horrifying meltdown in July is definitely commendable. Since the arrest, we’ve heard plenty of evidence that’s proved that she’d been abusing him for nearly a year before the July assault, and Andrew has said that she’d even been rough with James, too. It looks like he’s placing James’ safety and wellbeing above all else, and if that’s not being a good dad, what is? 6. Corey Simms Corey Simms was married to Leah Messer, and they had twins Ali and Gracie. They got divorced when Leah couldn’t stay faithful to him (and also because they had twins and got married when they were teenagers), but Corey’s been a good father, and a good coparent with Leah. He’s just a good ol’ boy, y’all. View Slideshow

Leah Messer Shares Heartbreaking Update on Daughter Ali’s Muscular Dystrophy

Teen Mom 2 fans have watched Leah Messer face just about every challenge a mother can endure over the course of the eight years. But perhaps nothing has brought the long-suffering mother of three more strife than the health issues suffered by her daughter Ali . Ali was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy shortly after birth, and while her parents have consistently sought the best treatment available, there's no guarantee that her condition won't deteriorate with age. This ongoing battle was the focus of Messer's storyline on Monday's episode of TM2, and fans were deeply moved by Leah and her ex-husband's efforts to set aside their differences in order to do what's best for their beloved daughter. 1. Courageous Ali Fans have been rooting for Ali and her indomitable spirit ever since she first entered the world alongside her twin sister eight years ago. 2. Supportive Sisters At times, Ali’s difficulty with walking and other basic motor functions may be rendered even more difficult by her twin sister Gracie’s natural athleticism. But Ali couldn’t ask for more supportive or encouraging siblings. 3. A Constant Struggle As is the case for most single moms, Leah’s life is a non-stop struggle. But her determination to secure the best possible care and adaptive equipment for Ali has never wavered. 4. Coming Together Leah and ex-husband Corey Simms have received considerable praise for their willingness to set aside any differences they might have and focus on their daughter’s health. 5. The Fight of Their Lives Last night’s episode saw Leah and Corey opening up about their fears for Ali’s future in one of the series’ most moving scenes to date. 6. A Worrisome Report Ali reported to Leah that she’s often in pain, her legs are tingling, and she’s generally “really struggling.” View Slideshow

The Men of Teen Mom, Ranked by Terribleness!

He’s stepdad to little Aubree, he and Chelsea are currently expecting their first child together, and ever since he first came on the show, he’s been perfect. He’s an easy number one, y’all. 2. Javi Marroquin Javi Marroquin was married to Kailyn Lowry, and they share one son together, Lincoln. Javi was also a killer stepdad to Kailyn’s first son, Isaac. He’s known to throw a little shade from time to time, but for the most part, he’s been respectful to Kailyn and a great father to both boys. 3. Jeremy Calvert Jeremy Calvert was married to Leah Messer, and they share one daughter, Adalynn. He was with Leah when she went to rehab — AKA at the start of her downward spiral into awfulness — and he was just a pretty steady, great dude through it all. 4. Corey Simms Corey Simms was also married to Leah Messer, and they had twins Aliannah and Aleeah. They got divorced when Leah couldn’t stay faithful to him (and also because they had twins and got married when they were teenagers), but Corey’s been a good father, and a good coparent with Leah. He’s just a good ol’ boy, y’all. 5. Tyler Baltierra Tyler Baltierra has been with Catelynn Lowell since they were 12 years old (yes, literally), and when she got pregnant at 16, they placed their daughter up for adoption. They’ve since gotten married and had another daughter, Novalee. Tyler would be higher on this list, but thanks to some recent body-shaming and generally insensitive remarks to Catelynn, he got knocked down a few notches. 6. Taylor McKinney Taylor McKinney is Maci Bookout’s husband, and they share two children together, Jayde and Maverick. Sure, Taylor drinks Bud Light like it’s water and he’s in a desert, but he’s a good father, especially to Maci’s older son, Bentley. View Slideshow

Disney World Tragedy: Little Boy Dragged Into Water By Alligator

At around 9:00 p.m. ET, a Nebraska couple watch their two-year-old son wade in the shallows of Walt Disney World’s Seven Seas Lagoon at the Grand Floridian Hotel. All of a sudden, the boy was snatched up by an alligator and dragged into the water. “The father entered the water, and he tried to grab the child, but was not successful in doing so,” Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings told reporters during a press conference today. The mother also went into the water to try and save her son. The couple, who brought their 4-year-old daughter on the trip, alerted a nearby lifeguard who then called 911. The father suffered only scratches while trying to remove the boy from the alligator’s jaw. “They [alligators] were probably attracted to some motion on the bank,” executive director of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Nick Wiley explained, according to USA Today . “That’s the way they stalk their prey.” Wiley added that the alligator could have mistaken the child for prey, as the reptile was likely feeding. The lake is being searched by wildlife specialists, divers and a trained alligator trapper.  Four alligators have been removed, but no traces of the child were found. Demings told reporters this morning that this was still considered a “search and rescue operation,” adding that he and all though involved in looking for the boy were “very hopeful. “Sometimes you get the worst, but we are hoping for the best,” he said. As the search continued, Demings changed his tune. The sad reality of it is it’s been several hours, and we’re not likely going to recover a live body,” he said, according to CNN . No Swimming signs are posted to all beach areas of the land-locked resort, which has never had an accident like this.

Man Calls Out Mom for Breast-Feeding. Then THIS Happens.

The following video features one pretty awful man. And a bunch of totally awesome Target employees. It was filmed by a young mother in Connecticut named Jessie Maher, as she sat down in the store’s cafeteria to breast feed her one-year old daughter. Quickly after she started to do so, a man blasted Maher as a “disgusting whore.” But Maher pulled out her cellphone and started to film the incident, later sharing it on her Facebook page. To date, it has racked up over five million views. “Anybody know this a**hole who verbally assaulted me in target this morning while I was breastfeeding my baby? (He’s wearing an Avon shirt),” Maher wrote as a message along with the footage. She added: “Before the video started rolling he looked at me and said (very angrily), “can’t you do that somewhere else?… That’s f***ing disgusting.. You are nasty” (he said a few other things under his breath). “I responded with, “I am feeding my baby, and I have the right to do it here…walk the f*** away..leave me the f*** alone.” “He responded with, (as he’s walking closer and closer to me and getting louder) “you are f***ing disgusting…you are f***ing disgusting…you are f***ing disgusting…you whore” he said a bunch more bullshit that I can not remember …. “by this point EVERYONE came to my defense! Target staff and shoppers… Then I started rolling the camera….” An unidentified woman can be heard coming to Maher's defense. She makes sure the poor mother doesn't feel ashamed over providing her child with sustenance. “You shouldn’t be ashamed of feeding your baby,” she tells Maher. “He can go the other way. This is a beautiful moment. If he doesn’t like it he can go.” Then she addresses the man: “Don’t look, okay? I’m here to protect her.” Pretty awesome, huh? Check out the full video below:

Corey and Miranda Simms: We Are NOT Getting Divorced!

Corey Simms and Leah Messer didn’t work out, as you know if you watch Teen Mom 2 online , but he and Miranda Patterson are on solid ground. Despite rumors of a Corey and Miranda Simms divorce that were triggered by social media comments earlier this month, they’re fine.  Seriously. Like Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer, they are one of the rare Teen Mom couples you don’t have to worry about lately. Miranda and Corey were recently caught up in controversy after a Facebook account attributed to him referred to being a “single” dad. Luckily, it’s not true, and Miranda Simms took to Twitter to explain. “That most definitely is a Fake Facebook,” Miranda told her fans. “Corey and I have a private FB for only family & close friends!” In a second tweet days later, Miranda added, “Those rumors def aren’t true! We actually celebrated 3 years of marriage yesterday.” Bottom line: Whatever beef they have with Leah is one thing, and we likely haven’t seen the end of that, but as a couple, they’re golden. Miranda Simms Calls Leah Messer Out: I’m So Good To Your Girls! Almost lost in the shuffle amid Leah’s non-stop drama is the fact that Corey and Miranda became parents themselves fairly recently. Besides the twin girls he shares with Leah Messer, the couple are the parents of a daughter Remi, who just celebrated her first birthday. Don’t expect to see much of her on MTV going forward, though. Insiders say Corey was not a fan of the ongoing drama surrounding Messer and her alleged drug use playing out as it did on the air. “[Corey Simms] feels MTV did him dirty,” a friend explained. How so? Simms believed producers “let Messer off easy.” “He thinks they had the perfect opportunity to show [ Teen Mom 2] viewers, ‘This is what happens when you get on drugs, this is reality.'” “Instead, they made it seem like Corey was constantly attacking Leah for no reason,” the source claimed, and he scaled back on filming. Leah Messer: I Don’t Care if Corey Simms Dies! “[Corey] told producers what he thought about the situation, and said that he and Miranda would not film nearly as much as in past seasons.” As for his ex-wife, Leah Messer also slammed producers for what she felt was an unfair portrayal this season, so they have that in common. Then again, in her case it was a little more complicated. After all, she was taken to task repeatedly for perceived parenting fails as well as her handling of relationships with both of her ex-husbands. It’s a turbulent world out there for those Teen Moms. Leah Messer: SLAMMED By Fans For Criticizing Miranda Simms!

If you watch Teen Mom 2 online , then you’re probably aware that Leah Messer hasn’t been portrayed in the most flattering light this season. On recent episodes, Leah has butted heads with Miranda Simms  over what she alleged is Simms’ negligence toward her daughter Ali, who suffers from muscular dystrophy. Specifically the ladies clashed over the accusation that Miranda refused to help Ali carry her backpack while she was walking into school. The conflict stemmed from a recording in which Ali was heard to complain, “Miranda always gets mad at me cause my backpack is too heavy.” Leah became emotional after viewing the footage, saying, “I can’t watch it without getting angry or wanting to cry … I don’t know what to do.” Miranda was understandably not happy with being portrayed as the bad guy, as she claims she was unable to assist Ali due to the fact that she was carrying her infant son, Remington. Miranda Simms Calls Leah Messer Out: I’m So Good To Your Girls! It doesn’t take much to turn fans against Leah, so perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that social media seems to be overwhelmingly Team Miranda. On last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2 , Miranda made a strong case for why Leah should trust her a bit more with regard to her children. Leah reluctantly agreed, and she even agreed to attend co-parenting sessions with Miranda and Corey. Even so, many fans on Twitter believe Leah as in the wrong and should be begging Miranda for an apology: “U never had ur hands full when you had ur 3rd child & couldn’t help a child with a book bag?” tweeted one viewer. “Maybe you should invest in a rolling backpack for your daughter @TM2LeahDawn that way she doesn’t have to carry a heavy bag,” wrote another. Leah didn’t respond directly, but she did post a meme reading: “Should you ever find yourself the victim of other people’s bitterness, smallness, or insecurities, remember things could be worse … you could be them.” Sigh. She tries, but things will never be easy for Leah on Twitter … or in life, for that matter. View Slideshow: Leah Messer Bad Parenting Excuse Hall of Fame

Leah Messer: SLAMMED By Fans For Criticizing Miranda Simms!

Leah Messer to Kids: I’ll Get You to School Whenever I Want!

For months now, Leah Messer has been telling fans that the editing on Teen Mom 2 makes her look bad , and she's actually a top-notch mom who has no trouble coping with the demands of single-parenthood. If that's true, then the show's editors deserve all the Emmys, because they've done a hell of a job fashioning a convincing story line out of random clips of Leah being kind of a crappy mom. The Teen Mom 2 Season 7 premiere featured a scene in which Leah rushed her daughters off to school minutes after waking them up, with the kids complaining that they're hungry and tired throughout the 45-minute ride. Leah took a ton of flak for denying the girls breakfast because she overslept, and based on the latest preview clip from next week's episode, she may want to brace herself for round 2. After hearing that one of her daughters told Leah's baby daddy, Corey Simms, that they often get to school late, Leah admonished the girls in puzzling fashion: “You guys have no business worrying about what time you get to school,” Messer snapped. “You guys just need to go to school. Let me and your father worry about what time you get to school…You guys shouldn't even worry about it. Don't talk about it.” Seems like the sort of thing that totally is their business, but who are we to judge? Just kidding, judging is half the fun of this show.
