Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham have achieved the near-impossible. The couple has actually gone from The Bachelor to… the altar! Will Arie and Lauren last a lifetime? It’s too early to say. But they’ve already accomplished what few twosomes who got together via this franchise have accomplished before them: an actual exchanging of vows! As documented by Us Weekly, Arie and Lauren got married this weekend in Hawaii. “Ever since we’ve gotten together, we wanted to fast-forward to this day,” Luyendyk told this tabloid , adding: “It’s been a year. That’s kind of crazy ‘cause I remember a year ago we were doing ‘happy couples [weekend on The Bachelor]’ and talking about getting married and wanting to do that, even last year, so it’s awesome that the day is finally here.” He’s not wrong. It’s been quite a journey for these reality stars. Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham met while filming season 22 of The Bachelor last year. But their courtship both ended and then started again amidst controversy. This is because the former race car driver proposed to Becca Kufrin during the season finale. After shattering Kufrin’s heart into a million pieces, Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham got engaged during the live After the Final Rose special in March. “I made some bad decisions but the best decision was running back to you,” the real estate agent said during his proposal, continung as follows: “I truly believe are my soulmate. I’m ready to face this life with you and all that comes with it. I love you so much. “I wanted to do this in front of everyone because I want to show you that I should have done this a long time ago.” In November, meanwhile, the famous couple took fans by surprise when they announced they were expecting. We’ve since learned they are expecting a girl . “We are so excited,” the former ex-Bachelor told Us Weekly last fall. “It’s going to be a whole new chapter in our lives.” Referencing his child’s gender and his now-wife, Arie added: “I’m definitely excited to see Lauren and her together, and I think it’s gonna be so adorable. “Everything’s so new, so we’re buying parenting books… “There’s just so much that we don’t know, and I think learning together and experiencing this together is gonna be a lot of fun.” All eyes of Bachelor Nation will now hone in on Arie and Lauren to see if their love truly lasts. We have an update on the domestic situation between Larissa Dos Santos Lima and Colt Johnson. But this one doesn’t involve any acts of alleged violence. Instead, it involves… … wedding bells! It’s surprising, but true! According to Clark County Court in Nevada, Johnson and Dos Santos Lima applied for their marriage license on June 11, 2018 and exchanged vows about two weeks later. Radar Online was the first website to report this shocking piece of news. Is it shocking that a couple who starred together on 90 Day Fiance actually went through with their marriage? Not necessarily, no. But Larissa was arrested on a charge of domestic violence on November 10. Here is her mugshot, which was snapped prior to her posting of $1,000 bail: Shortly before her arrest, Larissa strongly implied that there was a major disturbance between her and Johnson. She changed her Instagram handle to @helpmeimwithoutphone and posted a message that read: “HELP ME …HE TURNED OFF HIDE MY PHONE HELP ME HE WANTS TO CALL THE POLICE HELP ME.” From there, in a series of Instagram Story messages Colt shared his side of this unusual story with followers, writing; “Larissa was arrested this afternoon. She suffers from high anxiety and several depression. She over reacted to problems that do not exist.” In screen captures of posts that were later deleted, Colt added: “I proceeded to deactivate her phone to try to defuse the situation. “This escalated issues and matters became worse. She felt this action was a threat towards her and tried to reach out for help. Not long after her cry was posted, the police came and knocked down the front door. “They drew their guns at me and handcuffed me.” The arrest details are pretty ugly all around . “The police interviewed us but not long after they decided to arrest Larissa,” Colt’s message continued at the time, concluding: “No one was hurt and I did not press charges against my wife. “However it is policy in the state of Nevada that since we are in a domestic partnership, someone had to be arrested.” Larissa hails from Brazil and met Colt via social media. The duo met up in Mexico and Colt later proposed after mere days. According to court records obtained by E! News, this was Larissa’s second arrest for domestic violence, as she was previously taken into custody earlier this year … although those charges have since been dismissed. Her past, however, remains a big question mark for fans of this reality show. Fueling the speculative fire around Larissa and Colt is that their season of 90 Day Fiance is currently on the air. On the most recent episode, Dos Santos Lima convinced Colt to move out of the home he shared with his mom and her cats. In a preview for next week’s installment, she fights with Johnson’s extended family because they’re worried she’s using their loved for a green card. Well, folks, we’re just hours away from the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle . Predictions for what you can expect as the global media continues to foam at the mouth include: Yet another rundown of how terrible Meghan’s family is ; talking head-types pretending anyone actually watched the show Suits; and of course, painstaking second-by-second breakdowns of how the actual ceremony will play out, as though you’ve never seen a freakin’ wedding before. To be fair, tomorrow’s ceremony is sure to be more interesting than royal weddings past, thanks largely to a last-minute curveball thrown by Meghan’s lame-ass dad. As you may have heard, Thomas Markle will not be attending his daughter’s wedding for reasons that vary depending on whom you ask/believe. The most likely explanation seems to be that Thomas is embarrassed that he was busted selling staged paparazzi photos to British media outlets, so he’s decided to make the situation worse by bailing on the wedding entirely. The decision created quite a stir, as Thomas was supposed to symbolically give Meghan away before she joins Harry at the altar. Fortunately, it wasn’t long before a suitable plan B emerged. This morning it was reported that Prince Charles would walk Meghan down the aisle , but now it seems that’s only partially true. CNN is now claiming that Meghan will “make a bold feminist statement” by proceeding down the first stretch of the aisle “unescorted.” Of course, actual solitude is for peasants, and royals are never really alone, even when they’re “alone.” So when CNN says “unescorted” they really mean Meghan will be joined by her bridesmaids and page boys, “with a senior church figure walking ahead.” The Donald’s favorite news network also points out that Charles is no stranger to the task of walking blushing brides down the aisle. In 2016, he escorted Alexandra Knatchbull during her wedding to Thomas Hooper – and who could forget the famed Knatchbull-Hooper wedding? Just kidding, we have no idea who these people are. Anyway, it’s cool that Meghan is using her time on the world’s biggest stage to make a statement that’s sure to inspire other young women. But our favorite part of this story might be the fact that Harry’s grandfather, 96-year-old Prince Philip, will be in attendance less than two months after undergoing hip surgery. We’re sure he’ll be there primarily to support his grandson and new granddaughter-in-law. That’s it! It’s officially official: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are getting married. We know, you figured this was official back when Harry proposed to Markle and, in nearly every way, you were correct in this assumption. But proposals can always be taken back; answers can always be changed. The real official way to know whether a couple plans on getting married or not takes place when the invitations go in the mail. There’s just no turning back at that point. So, with that in mind, Kensington Palace was excited to make an announcement on Thursday morning: The invitations are in the mail! “Invitations to the wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle have been issued in the name of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales,” the Palace Tweeted today, adding: “Guests have been invited to the service at St George’s Chapel and to the lunchtime reception at St George’s Hall, which is being given by Her Majesty The Queen.” So there we have it. We’ve known for several weeks, of course, that Markle and Harry were getting married on May 19. The date has been circled on our calendar and multiple alarms have already been set to ensure we don’t sleep through the ceremony. But we now know the invitations were produced by Barnard & Westwood, a London-based printing company that has held a royal warrant for printing by appointment for the Queen since 1985 and Prince Charles since 2012. We also know the invitations are stamped in gold and that they feature Charles’ Three Feather Badge. Moreover, the guests’ names have added with a calligraphy printer. How do we know all of this? Because the Palace has also unveiled photos of the invites! EEEK!!!!!!! Clearly aware of the excitement and curiosity surrounding these nuptials, Kensington Palace also let folks in on how invitations were made, posting details and even a short video about the process on Twitter. “Lottie Small, who recently completed her apprenticeship, printed all of the invitations in a process known as die stamping, on a machine from the 1930s that she affectionately nicknamed Maude,” reads the official Royal social media account. The Palace notes that “using American ink on English card, the invitations are printed in gold and black, then burnished to bring out the shine, and gilded around the edge.” Fascinating, right? Almost as fascinating as the possibility that Markle may already be pregnant ! The Prince and the former Suits star confirmed their engagement in November. Since then, they have been making trips around the United Kington to meet local people and help acquaint Meghan with the causes and interests Harry supports. The stars bonded at the outset of their romance over shared charitable interests and endeavors. This invitation insight, meanwhile, arrives two days after the Palace announced that the couple asked Violet Bakery owner Claire Ptak of London to create a lemon elderflower cake for their reception. “I can’t tell you how delighted I am to be chosen to make Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s wedding cake,” the pastry chef said in a statement, concluding: “Knowing that they really share the same values as I do about food provenance, sustainability, seasonality and most importantly flavor, makes this the most exciting event to be a part of.” No word yet on who Harry will choose as his Best Man. Back in November, several media outlets (including this one) reported on the widespread rumor that Lady Gaga and Christian Carino are engaged . The couple has yet to confirm those claims, but it looks more and more like they’re letting their silence do the talking. Gaga has never been shy about refuting inaccurate reports about her private life, so it seems she has no problem with the public believing that she’s soon to be married. And she certainly didn’t seem shy about rocking a massive oval-shaped pink diamond on her commitment finger at this year’s Grammys. So either she really said yes, or she’s just messing with her Little Monster’s minds at this point. As best we can tell, Gaga’s breakup with Taylor Kinney and the ensuing media circus left a lasting mark on the singer, and this time around, she’s keeping a much tighter lid on her prenuptial preparations. Of course, no one as obsessed-over as Gaga can really keep a secret for very long. So perhaps it should come as no surprise that Life & Style claims to have uncovered the mystery of where and when Gaga and Carino are planning to tie the knot. “Gaga and Christian are planning to wed in Italy this summer,” a source exclusively tells the tabloid. “It will be an over-the-top affair combined with classic Italian traditions.” Yes, Lady Gaga’s wedding ceremony will combine the outlandish with the traditionally Italian. In other news, water remains wet; Pope Francis has no plans to convert to Judaism, etc. The insider goes on to reveal that guests will enjoy an “Italian-inspired menu,” which frankly, doesn’t feel like much of a bombshell following the revelation that the wedding will actually take place in Italy. Of course, it would be hilarious to have your family and friends arrive by gondola at a Lake Como villa just to be like, “Gotcha, bitches! Hot Pockets!” Sadly, most brides aren’t big on punking their guests. Go figure. Carino, 48, is an agent at CAA, and despite counting Justin Bieber and Harry Styles among his A-list clients, he maintains a relatively low-profile and seems to enjoy the civilian life. Which is good, because while there are occasional exceptions (Jay and Bey, Posh and Becks), there’s generally only room for one superstar as big as Gaga in a marriage.
Weddings are complicated. You have to pick the date, the venue, the menu, the seating arrangement, the decorations, the cake, … Oh, and which million-dollar deal you’ll make for your wedding to also be a TV special. That’s what Cardi B and her new fiance, Offset, are trying to decide. We know that they say that your average little girl grows up dreaming about her wedding day, which says a lot about how weirdly people socialize their children. But the actual planning of your wedding doesn’t usually happen until you’re engaged. And even then, unless you’re part of the Duggar fertility cult or something like that, those “plans” usually take the form of vague notions during your engagement. Not so for Cardi B and Offset, it seems. Cardi B, of course, is the rapper whose smash hit, “Bodak Yellow,” managed to upset Taylor Swift’s domination of the music world. Offset might sound like a name out of The Handmaid’s Tale , but he’s actually a hip-hop artist. And he’s now engaged to Cardi B, having proposed to her just last week. (Proposing to her while her career is at its height — good for them, you know?) On Friday night, Offset got down on one knee and proposed to Cardi B. They were on stage at the Philly Powerhouse performance. Even though Cardi B had briefly posted that she was “single” just a week before revising that, she said yes. Some fans are concerned. For one thing, Offset might be trying to boost his career by latching onto hers. Her career, in the meantime, might suffer. For another, public proposals are actually super creepy — unless you talk about them in advance. The genuine surprise proposals made in the middle of a restaurant or on stage or in front of friends and family … those often feel like the one who planned it is blackmailing the other person into saying yes, for politeness’ sake. Not everyone who does something like that is trying to be manipulative, of course, but there are some men who know what they’re doing when they pull that move. Finally, fans are a little alarmed that a relationship that had briefly seemed over the previous week had suddenly become an engagement. Regardless, though, a Cardi B wedding is going to be a big deal. TMZ reports that a Cardi B and Offset wedding special is being pursued by VH1, BET, and WE tv. Apparently, each network is vying to win a chance to turn the couple’s future wedding into a TV special. The potential entertainment value for these channels and for their viewers is obvious. For Cardi B and Offset? They could be making a deal worth as much as $1 million. They’ll have to decide which network — if any — they want poking around their special day. There’s a lot to consider. But … that’s a great situation to be in, right? First of all, that’s an amazing deal. The inconvenience of cameras is no big deal compared to getting paid as much as seven figures for doing something that you can do anyway. Also, weddings are pretty darn expensive. Celebrity weddings even more so. A big payday for a special like this could really make a difference. In fact, you might even say that the cost of this couple’s wedding might be … offset . (Sorry)
There were rumored fights, hesitations and cancelations . But then, at the end of the day, there were simply the sound of wedding bells. That’s right, Teen Mom fans, Jenelle Evans is now a married woman! The veteran MTV personality and the father of her latest child exchanged vows on Saturday at their home in North Carolina. There had been chatter that a fight just prior to the rehearsal dinner had caused Jenelle to squash the ceremony, which wouldn’t have come across as a major surprise to anyone familiar with her temper. But cooler heads and true love prevailed. According to E! News, Evans wore a white lace wedding dress with a sweetheart cut, rocking her hair half-up and accessorizing everything with long, drooping earrings and a necklace. Eason, meanwhile, donned a white suit jacket with a grayish-blue shirt and a black tie. Friends, family members and loved ones gathered for a rustic-themed reception and ate a cake that was made to look like wood with “D + J” carved into it in the middle of a heart. Photographer Celeste Call jumped on Instagram to share a few behind-the-scenes moments from the wedding, including snapshots of the bride getting prepared ahead of her big day. Evans and Eason welcomed nine-month-old daughter Ensley in January and first began dating in September of 2015. Stop the presses and put an end to the speculation: Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are married. It’s finally true! And oh so exciting! For the past several days, fans of this reality star have been wondering whether or not she and her long-time acquaintance had tied the knot. There was chatter just a few days ago that Joy-Anna Duggar married Austin Forsyth last weekend in their native Arkansas. A top Duggar social media source, the Facebook page “Duggar Family News: Life Is Not all Pickles & Hairspray, fueled this speculation. Some sources reported that their wedding had, indeed, taken place, although we later learned this not the case after all. Now, however, we can state with certainty that the 19-year-old Joy and the 23-year-old Austin are wife and husband. Because they’ve confirmed it themselves! “We feel so happy and so excited,” the couple told People Magazine after getting married on Friday in a church full of family members and loved ones. The publication has even included a photo of Joy-Anna in her wedding dress for its exclusive article regarding the nuptials. Adds the bride of her big day and her new husband: “Leading up, it was so surreal until I was walking down the aisle and then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s actually here.’ “We are going to be traveling for our Honeymoon for awhile.” The young star got engaged just a few months after announcing their courtship on the special episode of Counting On: Jinger’s Wedding in November. This is typical protocol for members of the family, of course. Due to the very strict Duggar dating rules , they are barely allowed to do more than whisper in one another’s ears while dating. Heck, you can’t even hold hands until you’re engaged. Therefore, it makes sense they’d want to get married as soon as possible once they find someone they like a whole lot. In Joy-Anna and Austin’s case, the two were family friends for 15 years before entering into a courtship last fall. “It’s really special that I got to grow up with him and my family knows him really well,” Joy-Anna said of Austin back in February. Speaking on their shared history and relationship, the teenager acknowledged at the time that she’s relatively young to be engaged. At the same time, she’s witnessed successful relationships across the board when it comes to her gigantic family. “Watching my sisters go through that with their courtships sets a really good example,” she told People, adding: “I was able to ask them just a lot of questions and wisdom about what they did and didn’t do and then just making it special.” “Showing him how much I appreciate him, it’s been amazing.” Joy-Anna and Austin, meanwhile, recorded a video for TLC so soon after their nuptials that the former is still in her gown.
