The Bachelor Stars: RANKED By (Short) Relationship Length!

Take heed, Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph , and all Bachelor couples of the future. Take heed. Time passes. Life happens. Love – and fame – fades. Reality sinks in. And hits hard. That sounds cynical, we know. But it's also factual. The Bachelor stars have not had the best track record when it comes to love lasting. How bad is it? Simply by virtue of being together a year later,  Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins  ranked among the biggest success stories. And they still broke up! That says it all right there. Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi broke up after not even half that length of time after a relationship many felt was doomed from day one. As for the latest case study beginning now? Let's just say Colton and Cassie are up against major obstacles (if you saw the recent season, you get it), and the odds aren't great.  That's probably putting it generously. The odds are poor. Check out the full Bachelor relationship rankings by length and see how poor … 1. Brad Womack Brad Womack, in the first of his two stints as The Bachelor, takes the cake by not choosing to propose to, or even continue his relationship with, either of the final two women, Jenni Croft or DeAnna Pappas (pictured). Wow. 2. Brad Womack (Take 2) In his second stint as The Bachelor, Brad Womack was briefly engaged to Emily Maynard. That ended pretty quickly, as she was single again in a couple of months. 3. Travis Stork Dr. Travis Stork and Sara Stone were broken up so fast, they got to talk about it on the After the Final Rose special. 4. Jesse Palmer Jesse Palmer, former NFL quarterback and current sports TV analyst, did not propose to Jessica Bowlin. They continued to date but broke up just weeks later. 5. Aaron Buerge Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz also lasted a matter of weeks. 6. Bob Guiney Bob Guiney did not propose to Estella Gardinier, but gave her a promise ring indicating that they would still date … for like a month it turned out. View Slideshow

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham: We’re Married!

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham have achieved the near-impossible. The couple has actually gone from The Bachelor to… the altar! Will Arie and Lauren last a lifetime? It’s too early to say. But they’ve already accomplished what few twosomes who got together via this franchise have accomplished before them: an actual exchanging of vows! As documented by Us Weekly, Arie and Lauren got married this weekend in Hawaii. “Ever since we’ve gotten together, we wanted to fast-forward to this day,” Luyendyk told this tabloid , adding:  “It’s been a year. That’s kind of crazy ‘cause I remember a year ago we were doing ‘happy couples [weekend on The Bachelor]’ and talking about getting married and wanting to do that, even last year, so it’s awesome that the day is finally here.” He’s not wrong. It’s been quite a journey for these reality stars. Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham met while filming season 22 of The Bachelor last year. But their courtship both ended and then started again amidst controversy. This is because the former race car driver proposed to Becca Kufrin during the season finale. However, he later had a change of heart, broke up with Kufrin in front of ABC cameras… and decided he wanted to be with Burnham. After shattering Kufrin’s heart into a million pieces, Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham got engaged during the live After the Final Rose special in March. “I made some bad decisions but the best decision was running back to you,” the real estate agent said during his proposal, continung as follows: “I truly believe are my soulmate. I’m ready to face this life with you and all that comes with it. I love you so much. “I wanted to do this in front of everyone because I want to show you that I should have done this a long time ago.” In November, meanwhile, the famous couple took fans by surprise when they announced they were expecting. We’ve since learned they are expecting a girl . “We are so excited,” the former ex-Bachelor told Us Weekly last fall. “It’s going to be a whole new chapter in our lives.” Referencing his child’s gender and his now-wife, Arie added: “I’m definitely excited to see Lauren and her together, and I think it’s gonna be so adorable. “Everything’s so new, so we’re buying parenting books… “There’s just so much that we don’t know, and I think learning together and experiencing this together is gonna be a lot of fun.” All eyes of Bachelor Nation will now hone in on Arie and Lauren to see if their love truly lasts. For now, though, as mentioned previously, they’ve already defied the odds by tying the knot. “To say it’s been quite a year would be an understatement!” Arie recently wrote on Instagram as the calendar flippe. “Lots of firsts and many more to come! Thank you for all of your love and we can’t wait to share what is going to be the biggest year out of our lives in 2019!” NOTE : To find out what’s on tap this season on The Bachelor, visit our section of The Bachelor spoilers ! Arie Luyendyk, Jr.: The Bachelor EDITED Me to Make Me Look Cruel! I Feel BETRAYED!

One can only imagine the betrayal that Becca Kufrin must have felt during Arie’s brutal breakup , all captured on camera and broadcast to the world. But now, Arie is speaking up — about his decision to dump Becca and propose to Lauren. And the decision to film it. And as it turns out, Arie says that he feels betrayed — by the producers. He claims that things were “completely edited.” In a new interview with GQ , Arie tells the interviewer that he was “haunted” by the thought that, in choosing Becca, he’d allowed his soul mate to slip away. So he called Lauren on New Year’s Eve. “As soon as I heard her voice,” he says. “I knew that I had to end things with Becca.” Instead of simply breaking things off with Becca, though, Arie apparently went to producers first. He says that they were the ones who pitched bringing in cameras. Arie says that these silver-tongued producers talked him into bringing in the cameras by promising him that this was the best way to move forward. By filming it, they allegedly told him, he would be able to show the Bachelor Nation that he was just being honest to his feelings while being respectful of Becca’s. Arie says that they told him: “‘Then we can show you going back to Lauren, and people are going to rally behind you because you took this big risk and you did it for love.'” He says that the producers persuaded him by assuring him that people would be on his side. “‘At the end of the day, people will just want to see you happy.'” Obviously, very few people are invested in Arie’s happiness these days, even though he and Lauren have announced their wedding date and venue . “You’ve got to understand,” Arie tells the interviewer. “These people were my friends.” This, he says, is why he trusted them. But he now feels “100 percent” betrayed. Then, Arie has some damning words to share about the actual breakup scene with Becca. You know, the one hailed as “the first completely unedited scene in reality television history” by ABC’s promotions? Arie says that this was hogwash. “It was completely edited,” he accuses. The 40 minute segment was agonizing to watch, and he suggests that it was intended to be that way from the beginning. “I was told to stay on that couch.” We guess that we know what Arie would do if the Milgram experiment were performed today. “I tried to leave, and then production was like, ‘You need to go back inside. She’s finally calming down. I feel like you owe it to her to have this conversation.'” Good advice? Maybe not. But production’s job is to make good television, not to be your life coach. “So then I went back in the house.” He confirms that production tried to discourage him from leaving. “Yeah. I left, came back. I stepped away from the couch, I went back to the couch.” But the Bachelor Nation didn’t see that part. “They cut out, obviously, production talking to me from 10 feet away.” Arie says that, by editing out their instructions for him to remain, the resulting video “was super unfair to me.” But he does acknowledge that, you know, this is how reality television works. “It’s their job to make it entertaining for people.” It is interesting to hear that Arie is trying to cast of blame to make himself look better. Just because something was someone else’s suggestion doesn’t mean that you are blameless for doing it. And they would have had to try harder to make him look insensitive if he had come across as more compassionate. View Slideshow: The Bachelor Veterans Blast Arie, ABC for Cruel Finale Break-Up

Arie Luyendyk Jr.: Dragged by Bachelor Alumni Over Failed Relationship!

Be warned, folks — there are some The Bachelor Spoilers in this post. Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s explosive choice — and then his jaw-dropping and frankly horrifying decision a few weeks after the finale was filmed — have been aired. Now Bachelor alums Jordan Rodgers and Sean Lowe, each living happily ever after with the women they fell in love with on television, are weighing in. And throwing shade. The Bachelor ‘s finale was a wild ride last night, with viewers pulled along a roller coaster of emotions. Probably the most commonly expressed reactions on Twitter were shock, horror, and disgust. All directed at Arie Luyendyk Jr. Some directed at ABC. But former stars who found love on camera and kept their relationships intact are speaking out. During the broadcast, Jordan Rodgers tweeted: “WOW!!! The drama is UNBEARABLE!! … San Antonio’s is only up 1 over Memphis with 9 min to go in the 3rd Quarter.” As fake-outs go, that one is fine. Rodgers later commented on how he found love with JoJo Fletcher and won Season 12 of The Bachelorette . “I mean….some llamas and a cool breeze would’ve been nice, but 120 degrees and some smelly armpits was our story. Wouldn’t change a thing! (Except some stronger antiperspirant) #babe” JoJo faced a tough choice, but she chose Jordan and it looks like things have worked out just fine for them. They may not be married yet, but they’re happily cohabitating in Texas. Any Bachelor finale is a time to reflect on how he found love on television, but he has to be thanking his lucky stars that he and JoJo haven’t ended things at all — and especially that they haven’t ended things like Arie did with Becca Kufrin. Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are a shining example that yes, you really can find lasting love on camera. These two have been married for three years and have a young son together. Sean took to Instagram to reflect on the season … and to promote ethically sourced diamonds. “Well, Arie’s crazy season has come to an end (kinda) and the finale of course reminded me of my time on The Bachelor when I proposed to Catherine in Thailand.” And they’ve been together ever since. “That moment on bended knee, placing the diamond ring on her finger was one of the very best moments of my life.” Here comes the plug that had him tagging his own post with “#ad.” “Catherine would have married me regardless of what kind of ring I gave her, but knowing she has an ethically sourced real diamond that she can pass down to our future daughter is pretty special.” Honestly, you can’t blame the guy for seizing the opportunity to make a little Instagram cash. Catherine got in on the action, too. She wrote: “They said our love wasn’t real. They said we couldn’t make it, and over 4 years (and almost 2 babies!) later, here we are.” Her post was also an “#ad” … and a Throwback Tuesday. “Throwing this Tuesday back to that magical moment, and this beautiful ethically-sourced diamond engagement ring.” Arie picked Becca Kufrin. The season and contest and love story were supposed to be over. Instead, after a few weeks, Becca endured the worst Bachelor heartbreak when Arie changed his mind. Arie called ABC and had their cameras come witness him as he ended his relationship with Becca and went running back to the runner-up, Lauren Burnham. Amazingly, Lauren — who was noted for being fairly quiet all season — took him back. Becca, in the mean time, was left devastated. It almost defies belief, but it appears that Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham are still together . That said, some wonder if Arie will have yet another change of heart in a few weeks or if Lauren was the one he should have chosen at the finale. However, some wonder if Arie is any more committed to Lauren than he was to Becca. Bekah Martinez, one of the Bachelor Nation’s favorite contestants this year and notably the youngest, exposed Arie’s DMs to the world. Was he just reaching out to his ex … or was he fishing to see if she was still interested? If so, how many other women has he messaged? Arie Luyendyk Jr.: Did He Just Let Slip a Bachelor Spoiler?!

Jimmy Kimmel is at it again, interviewing Arie Luyendyk Jr. and pressing him to reveal forbidden  The Bachelor spoilers . Naturally, Arie can't actually divulge how the season goes. You know how this works. Except that, as you'll see in the video below, it looks like Arie may have slipped up and revealed something that he didn't mean to. As you know, Jimmy Kimmel has a history of interviewing each season's Bachelor (or Bachelorette) and confronting them with his wife's theory of which contestants will make it the farthest … and who will win. Molly — Jimmy's wife — tends to do pretty well with her guesses. But only pretty well. For example, Jimmy interviewed Rachel Lindsay at the beginning of her season of The Bachelorette . The theory presented? That Rachel was engaged to Peter Kraus. That was a simpler, more innocent time, when people believed that Rachel Lindsay had sense. Arie, of course, insists that he can't reveal anything. In fact, though past Bachelors and Bachelorettes have said “oh, my fiance and I are just laying low until the season ends,” Arie's taking that a step further. He's refusing to even tell Jimmy Kimmel when the last time that he saw his fiancee was. Weird. But then Jimmy Kimmel stops asking — and starts sharing his theories. Well, his wife's theories. We already know who Arie Luyendyk Jr's final four will be , but here are the names that Jimmy listed: First up is Tia Booth. Because Tia is nice and likable and so are her friends, though Jimmy (well, really Molly) predicts that Arie won't pick her in the end. Next is Chelsea, whom Jimmy has pegged as this season's Bachelor Villain — great to keep around as fodder (though … all the way to the final four might be too much). Then comes Bekah M, and we can only assume that her youth played a role in getting her into the (imagined) final four. Or perhaps Jimmy Kimmel just wanted to highlight how rare short hair is in the franchise. As if to emphasize the many, many redundant names in this season, Jimmy also named Becca K (Becca Kufrin, not to be confused with Bekah with a K ), whom he noted Arie must have taken notice of to some degree after just the first episode. Jimmy Kimmel even goes so far as to name Becca Kufrin as the prospective winner. Now, if you've taken the plunge into our spoilers, you know who Arie chooses at the end of the season. But what's catching people's attention is how Arie responded — seeming to let his guard slip — when Jimmy brought up Chelsea, the potential “villain.” “Chelsea, you gave her the first impression rose, she’s very attractive, she’s aggressive.” He uses that aggression — often a positive quality — to lead into how he sees her role on the show playing out this season. “She’s also clearly going to be the villain, so you need to keep her around for a while.” The producers need to do that. Arie may have other priorities. “You won’t pick her, you’ll just keep giving her roses so she can antagonize everyone else in the house.” Arie seemed to break character in that moment (as you'll see in the video), going from nodding to shaking his head. Was he saying that she's not in his final four, or protesting her “villain” label? We don't know. Jimmy Kimmel created a distraction after he'd named all four women, by proposing that Arie have a threesome (since he'd mentioned falling in love with two contestants ) with Becca and with Bekah. Jimmy's delivery sounds more like a guy broing it out and less like someone promoting healthy polyamory, so it was a line bound to rub people the wrong way. But also a line bound to help Jimmy take some of the heat for Arie's possible slip-up. Decide for yourself if Arie really slipped up — or if it's some kind of misdirect or whatever — by watching the video below.

Arie Luyendyk, Jr. & Sean Lowe Finalists For The Bachelor; Ryan Lochte Out of Contention

Arie Luyendyk, Jr. and Sean Lowe are the two finalists for The Bachelor, according to reports, meaning Ryan Lochte won’t be rocking his Speedo on the show. The Olympic swimming champ was actually in the running, however. “We honestly briefly considered him ,” a source who works on the show revealed to E! News. “But we are going elsewhere. It’s really down to Arie and Sean.” You’ll still have a chance to see the athlete on TV this fall, as Lochte booked a gig on 30 Rock as well as 90210. But The Bachelor didn’t say #Jeah to Ryan. Arie Luyendyk, Jr. , Sean Lowe and Jef Holm all became fan favorites during the most recent Bachelorette season, comprising Emily Maynard’s final three. Producers are still finalizing their decision, and a casting announcement is expected “soon.” Roberto Martinez may or may not still be in the mix as well. Assuming it’s down to Arie and Sean, who do you think should be the next Bachelor? Vote for your favorite of the two hunks in THG’s survey below!

Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Trashed By Cassie Harshman; Ex-Girlfriend Warns Emily Maynard to Run!

Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Harshman claims that he’s been leading on The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard, and urges her to make a run for it. If she even chooses him, that is. Arie and Jef Holm are the last two men standing. For insight on who she (likely) picks, read The Bachelorette spoilers . In any case, “Arie’s in it for the fame,” at least according to Cassie, who claims “Arie has dated hundreds of women and travels all over the world.” “Clearly, he doesn’t need help finding a date or someone to fall in love with. The whole idea of Arie Luyendyk being on The Bachelorette is a joke.” “He hasn’t really raced much since 2008, and I know with certainty that his only motive for going on the show was for the fame and attention.” Cassie Harshman – not to be confused with Cassie Lambert, The Bachelorette producer he also dated – began dating the 30-year-old in late 2009. He ended up moving in with her and her two young children from a previous relationship. Arie and Cassie broke up for good in December 2011. “He wasn’t the best father figure to my children,” says Cassie, something Emily may want to take note of, she says, given her seven-year-old girl. “Let’s just say that Arie has some growing up to do himself.” A previous report claims he was filmed on The Bachelorette telling Emily that Cassie miscarried his child; if so, this was edited out of the broadcast. “If that happened, I’m mortified that Arie would share such painfully intimate details of our relationship while the cameras were rolling,” Cassie says. “What happened is one of the hardest things a woman can go through. I’ve moved on, but Arie using that to elicit sympathy from Emily is horrible.” Cassie Harshman’s interview with Star/Radar should be taken with a grain of salt, of course. Motives for talking to them are highly questionable. Still, let us know what you think in the comments below, and tell us who you think Emily should pick on the July 22 season finale in the poll:

The Bachelorette Promo: Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Relationship With Producer Exposed!

Arie Luyendyk, Jr.’s much-discussed relationship with a producer on The Bachelorette will apparently be discussed on next week’s episode of the hit show. This has been well-documented throughout the season, but until now, it was unclear if Emily knew at all, let alone found out in the middle of the season. Numerous reports about Arie Luyendyk, Jr. and Cassie Lambert have circulated, though his friends have defended him and downplayed the relationship . What really happened and how will Emily Maynard react? The Bachelorette Season 8, Episode 7 Promo The surprising preview for next week (above) certainly makes it look like she’s not happy, though the producers may be more to blame than Arie here. According to Reality Steve , when Emily found out, she realized the show’s brain trust knew about Cassie and Arie the whole time and kept it from her. “Arie was told to never bring up the Cassie relationship to Emily and that it was already taken care of,” according to Steve, “yet, it wasn’t taken care of.” However Emily does find out about Arie and Cassie having a relationship, it remains to be seen whether it will torpedo the race car driver’s chances. The Bachelorette spoilers we’ve posted throughout the season offer some hints in that regard. What do you think? Should she kick him off the show? If she does, she’ll be parting ways with one of the favorites. Check out this clip of Arie and Emily on last night’s episode, getting cozy in Croatia … The Bachelorette Clip – Emily and Arie Kiss
