Miguel Jumps on Fans’ Heads During Billboard Music Awards Performance

Singer Miguel made headlines at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards by attempting to jump over fans’ heads during his performance, but instead landing on them. In an ugly accident that could have been way worse, Miguel was performing “Adorn” when he tried to pull off an acrobatic move, only to fail epically: Miguel Billboard Music Awards Performance Fail Twitter users quickly expressed their disbelief, with some wondering whether the women drilled by Miguel were seriously injured or even killed. The phrase “Did Miguel” soon trended worldwide on Twitter. Fortunately, he did not. They were a little shaken up with some busted glasses, that’s it. “Yes they are absolutely OK! He was dancing and hugging them post jump,” said a rep for Billboard, to the relief of many (especially Miguel himself). With news that the people were alright came the obligatory memes. Jesus Take The Wheel! Slavery is still going on and its most innocent victims aren’t even born yet! Authorities in Nigeria revealed their recent bust of a “baby factory” located in the southern city of Aba, where the owner of a clinic known as The Cross Foundation was harboring pregnant girls with plans to sell their newborns into the country’s human trafficking and sex trade markets. According to Agence France-Presse, some of the girls (who ranged in age from 15 to 17-years-old) told police that the clinic’s owner Dr. Hyacinth Orikara forced them to sell their infants to him for less than $200 depending on the sex of the baby. The women were taken to the regional headquarters of an anti-trafficking organization. “We rescued 32 pregnant girls and arrested the proprietor who is undergoing interrogation over allegations that he normally sells the babies to people who may use them for rituals or other purposes,” police commissioner Bala Hassan said. Rituals??? These motherfu*kers are truly DERANGED!!! As wild as this may sound to us, baby factories/baby farms are reportedly common in western Africa, and according to UN numbers, human trafficking is the third most common crime in Nigeria after fraud and drug trafficking. In cases such as this, baby farms sell the newborns to the highest bidder and the children are used for work in factories and mines or as sex slaves. Dr. Orikara has denied the charges, telling Nigeria’s Daily Champion newspaper that the clinic simply cared for teenagers with unwanted pregnancies. We have all had plenty to say about singer Miguel’s get down and whether his attire is proof positive that said get down never involves the ladies. In an interview with The Kenny Burns Show released today, Miguel attempts to shut the rumors down once and for all. “At this point, I’ve embraced a lot of wordly culture and made it a part of who I am. People who are here who have not done that may look at my choices artistically [and] how I express myself visually and aesthetically as “questionable.” Especially to my sexuality. Whereas [to] people who have traveled, or have done it, it’s not questionable at all. So I think it’s just a matter of whether you’re ignorant to what’s out there. If you don’t understand, you gotta catch up! For anyone who questions my sexuality, the honest truth is: I love women. I’ve only always loved women. And women kinda like me to.” We don’t know Miguel… we’re still giving you the side-eye a little. But then again, he brings up Prince.
