Source: Stefanie Keenan / Getty It’s hard to believe that it’s been one year since Kim Kardashian ‘s traumatic Paris robbery — probably because people haven’t stopped talking about it — but the star’s style switch up proves that some things have indeed changed. Before when you thought of Kim, adjectives like “flashy” and “pompous” probably came to mind. But since making her return to the spotlight following the dark incident, Mrs. West has kept her jewelry, makeup and clothes to a minimum. Back when the robbery was being investigated, authorities told Kim that her constant bragging and posting on social media about her diamond ring (and other extremely expensive things most of us can’t afford) is what lead thieves to her in the first place. These days, Kimmy opts for looks that are just as demure as they are jaw-dropping. Check out of 7 Kim K’s best toned-down looks since her robbery:                 This is a whole new type of nude for Kim.             No jewelry and light makeup can still make a fashion statement.                                  Less is more.          She even kept it classy at this year’s MET Gala.                                Simplicity is key.                       Oh, just a clean, casual slay.                                 Laid-back Keeks.   Are you here for the klean-kut Kim Kardashian?   [ione_media_gallery src=”https://globalgrind.cassiuslife.com” id=”4193540″ overlay=”true”]

‘Superman’ Reboot Taps Diane Lane To Play Clark Kent’s Mom

‘We are thrilled to have Diane in the role,’ director Zack Snyder says in a statement. By Eric Ditzian Diane Lane Photo: Stefanie Keenan/ Getty Images While rumors continue to swirl that “Superman” director Zack Snyder is eyeing Viggo Mortensen for a villainous role in the rebooted comic book franchise, Warner Bros. has officially announced the casting of a good guy — or, we should say, a good mom. Diane Lane is officially onboard to play Martha Kent, the adoptive mother of Clark Kent, according to a studio press release . “This was a very important piece of casting for me because Martha Kent is the woman whose values helped shape the man we know as Superman,” Snyder said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have Diane in the role because she can convey the wisdom and the wonder of a woman whose son has powers beyond her imagination.” The casting doesn’t mark the first time the Oscar-winning actress has entered a high-profile comic book adaptation. In the mid-’90s, she appeared alongside Sylvester Stallone in “Judge Dredd.” She’s also co-starred in action- and thriller-oriented fare like “Jumper,” “Murder at 1600” and the barely seen “Killshot.” Lane joins Henry Cavill, who’s playing the Man of Steel, as confirmed “Superman” castmembers. Mortensen has been rumored for the role of General Zod, the nefarious alien at the heart of 1980’s “Superman II.” Kevin Costner has been mentioned as a possible choice for Jonathan Kent, the husband of Martha and the adoptive father of Clark. Directed by Snyder, produced by “Dark Knight” guru Christopher Nolan and with a screenplay penned by David S. Goyer, the new “Superman” flick is slated for a December 2012 release date. Eve Talks Interscope Split

‘They promised me the machine,’ she tells Vibe of why she left longtime recording home. By Jayson Rodriguez Eve Photo: Stefanie Keenan/ Getty Images Eve’s “Tambourine” stopped shaking awhile ago when her album Here I Am was shelved indefinitely by Interscope. The Philly rapper confirmed a rift with her longtime recording home when she tweeted back in January that she had left the label. Now, she’s opening up about her reasons in an interview with Vibe. The former first lady of the Ruff Ryders alleged she didn’t get the proper backing from Interscope for what would have been her next LP. “They promised me the machine,” she said. “The machine is basically the rollout. It’s ‘Yo, when [“Flirt”] comes out, we’ll give you this, we’ll give you that.’ And that’s what made me mad. It’d be different if we didn’t have a meeting where people promised me sh–. If they were just like, ‘Oh, we’re going to put the album out and see what happens,’ that would be one thing. “But they were like, ‘No, we’re making sure this happens. It’s coming out on this date,’ ” she continued. “It was concrete. But it’s all good. Everything happens how it’s supposed to, when it’s supposed to.” For the stalled Here I Am, Eve recorded with Swizz Beatz, Sean Paul and Robin Thicke. Back in 2007, she gushed about working with the blue-eyed crooner. “The Robin song is called ‘Fantasy,’ ” she told MTV News. “My lyrics are basically talking about ladies — how when guys see you in a club but [aren’t] ready to talk to you. Like a guy who sees you in a club and he wants to do all these things to you. … You’re his fantasy. It’s real. A guy might be looking out from across the club like, ‘Oh my God, I love her,’ but you might not even know he’s looking at you.” Currently, Eve is unsigned and at work on her next album. Miley Cyrus Discusses Her Chemistry With Liam Hemsworth On ‘Ellen’

‘We’ve been together for 10 months now and I’m really happy,’ singer says about her beau and ‘Last Song’ co-star. By Jocelyn Vena Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus Photo: Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images for Chopard Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth didn’t share their onscreen/offscreen chemistry from the get-go. Cyrus says that when the couple first started shooting their movie “The Last Song” last summer, she wasn’t sure how Hemsworth felt about her. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres set to air on “Ellen” next Wednesday, Cyrus, who also appeared on “American Idol” this week, explains that when she first met Hemsworth, she had no intention of dating him, or anyone else for that matter. “I was actually going through a tough time. I was like, guys just need to be out of my life for a little while,” she explained. “[I thought] ‘I just need to alone.’ “I kind of just wanted to focus on my work. I tend to hide behind my work sometimes,” she says of how she felt at the time. But there was something about Hemsworth that made her change her mind. “But I met him, and he opened the door for me, and I was like, I have been in L.A. for three years and I don’t think any guy has actually opened the door for me,” she added. “It wasn’t that he wanted the job. That’s just who he is. I was like, ‘Wow, that is super-impressive.’ I actually turned to the director and said, ‘He’s got the job.’ He’s hot and he opened the door. Excellent.” The attraction was there for Cyrus, but she wasn’t sure they could make it work. “We started filming and at one point the chemistry was kind of awkward. … I liked him a little bit, he liked me a little bit, but it was awkward,” she said. “Then I was like, ‘OK, just fake it.’ [I said] ‘Please just pretend you like me’ and he was like ‘I don’t have to pretend. I really do like you.’ [Then it was like] ‘OK, you’re going to be my boyfriend. Cool.’ ” So, how good are things for the pair now? Apparently pretty great. “We’ve been together for 10 months now and I’m really happy,” she said. “I like him more now than I did [before] because we know more about each other.” “The Last Song” is due in theaters Wednesday, March 31. Miley Cyrus Talks Liam Helmsworth, Taking Time Off From Music

‘He’s very grateful for what he has, but he doesn’t let it go to his head. I’m like that too,’ Cyrus tells Teen Vogue. By Jocelyn Vena Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus At Elton John’s Oscar party on Sunday Photo: Stefanie Keenan/Getty Images for Chopard In the forthcoming issue of Teen Vogue, teen queen Miley Cyrus sits down with her “Last Song” co-star and real-life boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth , to talk about the pair’s instant chemistry with one another, as well as her career future now that she’s bidding the world of Hannah Montana a fond farewell for more adult pastures in flicks like “The Last Song” and her cameo in the “Sex and the City” film sequel. “I think we’re both deeper than normal people — what they think and how they feel,” Cyrus says about Hemsworth in the April issue, hitting newsstands March 16. “He’s very grateful for what he has, but he doesn’t let it go to his head. I’m like that too.” And while his down-to-Earth nature may have stuck with Cyrus, it was his height that initially caught her eye. “He’s really tall. I thought, either I’m going to have to be in heels or standing on something for this entire movie!” she said. “He definitely showed chivalry: I remember him opening the door for the director, and I was like, ‘Wow.’ ” Hemsworth jokingly chimed in, “I have very good parents. It was funny — working with Miley was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. From the first time we read, it was like I had known her before.” Cyrus is can easily be defined as a “quadruple threat,” but it’s Hemsworth’s focus on just acting that she found most refreshing while shooting the flick. “It’s refreshing to work with an actor who isn’t also a singer and dancer and musician and artist and this and that,” she explained. “I’m sick of quadruple threats who do everything when they should stick to one thing.” Cyrus herself has been hard at work on her next album, but she admitted that music isn’t inspiring her the way it should be. “The more I make music that doesn’t truly inspire me, the more I feel like I’m blending in with everyone else,” she said. “So after this next album, I’m taking some time off.” So, what’s next for Cyrus then aside from “The Last Song” due out on March 31. Easy, lots: “I’m working on lots of different films: drama, action, comedy,” she says of her post-Hannah Montana life . “I like challenges, so I’m doing a little bit of everything.” And that includes a cameo in the hotly anticipated “Sex and the City” flick out in May. “I know everyone says Carrie, but I love Kim Cattrall, so I’ll say Samantha,” she said. “I want to be her because she’s the hottest, she’s funny, and she has attitude.” The new issue of Teen Vogue is on stands March 16.
