Pamela Anderson Ad Pulled in Great Britain, Deemed "Sexist, Degrading"

It is not a good day to be in the commercial business. First, this Swiffer ad was slammed for sexism. Then, these Happy Prostitute ads were pulled in Brazil. Now, Pamela Anderson has been deemed an insult to her gender in Great Britain… or at least a commercial that features the former Baywatch beauty. Pamela Anderson Ad: Sexist? The country’s Advertising Standards Authority stated in its ruling that the above ad for Dreamscape Networks includes a fantasy sequence that is far too offensive for the air. In a statement defending its prohibition, the ASA pointed to a bikini-clad Anderson and another model showing off their cleavage while dancing and being covered in cream. “Because of that, we considered the ad was likely to cause serious offence to some viewers on the basis that it was sexist and degrading to women.” Watch the spot and decide for yourself: Should the commercial have been yanked?   Yes, it has no business on the air! I’ll need to watch it a few more times to decide View Poll »

Spanish Town Mails Dog Poop to Irresponsible Pet Owners

Faced with a problem that really stinks, the town of Brunete, Spain has come up with an unusual (and awesome!) solution. Starting in February, 20 volunteers took to the streets and kept an eye out for irresponsible dog owners. Any time an individual would allow its canine to defecate without picking up the waste, the volunteer would engage him or her in small talk… learn the name of the animal… look it up in the local date base and – bam ! – they would come up with a home address. A few days later, the offending owner would receive a package in the mail of the poop he or she left on the ground. After 147 special deliveries made in February alone, the reported sightings of excrement in town decreased by approximately 70 percent, based purely on the eye (and nose) test. Seriously, people. We all know how much dogs love to walk . Just be sure to clean up after them when they do so pedestrians are equally excited to see their canine friends on the street.

Teresa Giudice Slams Husband Infidelity Rumors, Defends Family Nanny

So much for not speaking out about her marriage. Within 24 hours of Life & Style running a cover story that details her husband’s alleged affair with family nanny Nicole Cemelli, Teresa Giudice has come out and blasted the allegation as ridiculous. Of Cemelli, Giudice writes on her website: “We’ve known her and her family since she was in high school. No secret. No mystery.” She adds: “Joe and I are on TV, so I get it that our lives are open for everyone and their mother to criticize. What’s unfair and completely disgusting is that you would drag every person we ever speak to into your fake stories. It’s not acceptable to falsely portray our friends, family, business associates, fans, and even acquaintances this way.” Along those lines, Teresa says Cemelli is “freaking out now… getting harassing calls at her work, being stalked on the Internet, and even followed.” And a lawsuit may be filed as a result. “You know we have four daughters that are personally hurt every time you print these lies, but that doesn’t seem to faze you at all. Maybe being sued for defamation finally will.”
