Modern Warfare 2 "Stimulus Pack" Downloadable Content Hits PS3 On May 4

The first downloadable content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 , the “Stimulus Package” map pack released last week, is currently an Xbox 360 exclusive. That exclusivity changes on May 4, Activision’s announced, when the same five-stage map pack arrives on both PlayStation 3 and PC. The “Stimulus Package” map pack contains five maps, two of which were brought over from the original Modern Warfare . The pack has already been downloaded at least 1.5 million times. There will be at least one more map pack released for Modern Warfare 2 , which will also begin its life an Xbox 360 exclusive for Xbox Live users. It will arrive on both platforms a later date. It took some time, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 finally has its first big chunk of DLC, the recently-released “Stimulus Package.” The timed-exclusive pack (1200 Microsoft Points, or $15) has five new maps for the game, although two are actually returning “favorites” from Call of Duty 4:

Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package Release Time: March 30 is the release date. It is now available for all the xbox and Playstation gaming junkies worldwide! The first installment is now here and is available for downloading now. This is the day you’ve been waiting for with 5 new maps as part of the map packs set. The recently released Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has got its second free map pack today, and is available for all PC players and Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players who have the VIP code. The VIP code came with every new version of the game, so if you bought yourself a used copy then you probably won’t have one. But fear not- you can buy them from the in-game store to get access to the free VIP downloads. It is being released today along with Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package that is only available for Xbox LIVE for about 30 days before coming to other formats. The Stimulus Package is available for 1200 Microsoft Points (£10.20). The Bad Company 2 map pack features maps already on the game but allows them to be used in different modes- Africa Harbor can now be played on Conquest and Laguna Presas can now be enjoyed on Rush mode.
