Halle Berry Says She’s Tired Of Complaints With No Action Halle Berry says she’s fed up with folks whining about Black Lives Matter…sort of. It’s not so much the act of speaking about the movement itself that bothers Ms. Berry…but the posting, meme-ing, and discussing the issues at hand…but then taking no real tangible action to try to help rectify it at the end of the day. While making an appearance at the Cannes Lions Girls’ Lounge, Halle told Page Six : “In my world, I get so tired of people complaining about, ‘Oh black lives matter,’ and they pontificate and pontificate about it, and I say, ‘Well, what are you doing about that? It may not seem significant to you, but that’s how we start. Have you called your local politicians, have you written a letter?’” When they say they’ve done nothing, I say, ‘Well, don’t talk to me…because you are part of the problem, because you are sitting here spewing negativity and complaining.’ I don’t have time for people who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk.” Well, we can’t say we disagree all that much. Building awareness and fostering discussion of the topics at hand is definitely important…but without individuals and groups trying to make steps toward real change, we’re all just watching injustice occur like a reality show at the end of the day.
