Michael Buble hit a sour note on Instagram yesterday. The singer was on vacation in Miami with his wife when the couple spotted a woman rocking some SERIOUSLY short shorts. We’re talking exposed bottom butt cheeks and everything. So Buble snapped a picture with the lady in the background, shared it online and wrote as a caption: “There was something about this photo lu took ,that seemed worthy of instagram. #myhumps #babygotback #hungryshorts #onlyinmiami #picoftheday #beautifulbum.” Funny? Foul? Most of the Internet went with the latter. Facing accusations of sexism and being referred to as “disgusting” by quite a few Instagram users, Buble went on Facebook today and issued a statement. “Anyone who knows me would never misinterpret the message of the photo my wife took in Miami that seems to have caused unexpected rage by some people.” Buble wrote. “I do not court controversy. But I realize that a photo that was meant to be complimentary and lighthearted has turned into a questionable issue. For the record, it hurts me deeply that anyone would think that I would disrespect women or be insulting to any human being.” The artist went on to say that he regrets if anyone found the picture “offensive” because that wasn’t his intention, concluding: “Women are to be celebrated, loved, respected, honored and revered. I’ve spent my life believing that and will continue to do so.” Buble should stick to bashing Kim Kardashian . He’ll never find anyone (with a brain) to disagree with him on that front.
