Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Finally Pucker Up After Winning Best Kiss At MTV Movie Awards

‘Twilight’ stars comically fumble while accepting trophy at 2010 MTV Movie Awards. By Terri Schwartz Robert Pattinson and Krtisten Stewart Photo: Getty Images There couldn’t have been much doubt that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would win the Best Kiss award for their smooch in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” After all, this is a fan-voted award, and after last year’s almost -kiss the focus seemed to be less on “Will they win?” and more on “Will they kiss?” Well, they did. But they didn’t give it up easy. Neither Stewart nor Pattinson looked shocked when their win was announced, but Stewart (rather comically) stumbled a bit when she went she got up from her seat. She turned and gave him an embarrassed half-hug, which should have tipped viewers off to the fact that, yes, they would give fans what they have been so anticipating for years. Pattinson accepted the award, saying, “Thanks a lot guys, there was very stiff competition this year. It’s really nice to win it two years in a row.” The crowd started shouting, but Stewart calmed the excitement by saying, “To be perfectly honest with you, it takes a lot of smoke and mirrors to make us look good kissing.” Just when it seemed like they were going to let fans down a second year in a row, she surprised everyone by saying, “We’ll give it a shot.” That “shot” consisted of several obviously fake, sort of awkward “attempts” at kissing, and Stewart said after two mishaps that “we probably shouldn’t do this right now.” At that point, Pattinson grabbed her, spinning his back to the camera, and kissing her quickly on the lips. It took only half a second for Stewart to push Pattinson away, and while he looked a bit dazed and giddy after the kiss — almost like it was supposed to go longer? — Stewart quickly thanked the audience and the two walked offstage. While the kiss still didn’t answer the question of whether Robsten are an actual item, one thing is certain after their performance: They’re a shoo-in for winning Best Kiss again for “Eclipse.” After all, what will happen onstage next year? Miley Cyrus Breaks Free In ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ Video

‘It’s not a new Miley; it’s just a new part of me,’ Cyrus says of the clip. By Terri Schwartz Miley Cyrus in “Can’t Be Tamed” Photo: Hollywood Records Welcome to a whole new Miley Cyrus. The title track from her newest album, Can’t Be Tamed, debuted Friday, and on Tuesday night (May 4), E! News premiered the song’s video. In the clip, Miley is trapped in a cage while dressed up like a bird, trashing the museum she’s contained in and newly sexualized now that she’s Disney-free . In an interview with Ryan Seacrest that ran after the video’s debut, Cyrus said the video wasn’t about her new attitude, but about putting a story to the rebellious track. A museum curator introduces “a creature so rare it was believed to be extinct” to a crowd of posh attendees, announcing that “in captivity for the first time, the rarest creature on Earth, Avis Cyrus.” Cue the reveal of Cyrus in a giant cage, dressed in a skimpy black outfit replete with feathers and CGI wings. Someone snaps a photo, and she is startled and shields herself with the wings, causing the guests to become uncomfortable. Then the music starts thumping, and Cyrus and her dancers make their way out of the cage, shattering exhibits as they go. After rolling around in peacock feathers and getting up close and personal with some of her dancers, the video ends with Cyrus back in her cage with the museum empty and trashed. “The reason I loved doing this video is because I wanted it to be something different for a female artist,” Cyrus explained to Seacrest. “It is a sexy video, and you can’t really take that away from it, but it’s not the premise.” She said her friends and fans have been waiting for her to make a move to the next incarnation of Miley Cyrus for a while, and she thinks this is something they will be proud of. Her “Hannah Montana” fans have grown up with her, she said, and this is the first step for all of them toward “growing up.” Her mother, Tish, was on set with her during the video shoot, though she did say she made boyfriend Liam Hemsworth leave the set after 20 minutes so he wouldn’t get distracted by all the “hot girl dancers” also on set. “It’s not a new Miley; it’s just a new part of me,” Cyrus said about the video.
