Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Ingredients: * 1 cup glutinous rice flour * 4 ounces water * Brown sugar to taste * Food coloring (optional) * Fresh ginger (optional) Preparation: Pour the glutinous rice flour in a bowl and slowly add water until the mixture becomes the texture of dough. Tāngyuán is a Chinese food made from glutinous rice flour. Glutinous rice flour is mixed with a small amount of water to form balls and is then cooked and served in boiling water. Tangyuan can be either small or large, and filled or unfilled. They are traditionally eaten during Yuanxiao, or the Lantern Festival.
