You Have Part of My Attention: Mark Zuckerberg Named Time Magazine Person of the Year

Alternate headline: “If you were the inventors of Time magazine’s Person of the Year, you would have invented Time magazine’s Person of the Year.” What started as a rough morning for the makers of The Social Network turned around in a hurry. Late last night the San Diego Critics Society broke ranks with their film critic brethren and voted Winter’s Bone as top film of 2010 instead of The Social Network (punishment will be meted out later this afternoon). Before David Fincher and friends could cry in their Kashi Go Lean, though, Time magazine swooped in this morning and named Facebook head honcho Mark Zuckerberg as their Person of the Year. Suck on that, Ree Dolly!

Fossils of Earliest Animal Life Discovered?

“Fossils of what could be the oldest animal bodies have been discovered in Australia, pushing back the clock on when animal life first appeared on Earth to at least 70 million years earlier than previously thought. The results suggest that primitive sponge-like creatures lived in ocean reefs about 650 million years ago. Digital images of the fossils suggest the animals were about a centimeter in size (the width of your small fingertip) and had irregularly shaped bodies with a network of internal canals. The shelly fossils, found beneath a 635 million-year-old glacial deposit in South Australia, represent the earliest evidence of animal body forms in the current fossil record. Previously, the oldest known fossils of hard-bodied animals were from two reef-dwelling organisms that lived around 550 million years ago.” http://www.livescience.com/animals/earliest-animal-life-fossils-discovered-10081… added by: DeliaTheArtist

Scottish Invent Bio-Fuel From Whisky

From the inventors of cloned sheep and golf comes another absolutely brilliant breakthrough for mankind. Researchers at Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland have created a bio-fuel using the byproducts left over from the distillation of Scotch Whisky (Note that Scotch Whisky has no “e”). Apparently by using the “pot ale” and “draff” (words we assume are made up), some type of mystical spirit is made to power an ordinary car with no alterations to the engine. Cheryl Tweedy Ruins An Upskirt Moment

I think that the inventors of the SUV and the short skirt should get a shared Nobel Prize because they go together better than gin and tonic or boobs and baby oil. I don’t know why Cheryl Tweedy feels the need to tease me like this, it’s not very nice of her, she knows how I feel about her and her lady bits so why almost give me a peek. That’s like almost winning the lottery or almost not shitting your pants after eating at a Korean barbecue.
