What kind of country club is “too good” for the POTUS??? President Obama Turned Away From New York Country Clubs Most country clubs want prestigious clientele using their facilities. Who’s more prestigious in this nation than the President ? Via DailyMail : Several exclusive golf clubs in New York wouldn’t let President Barack Obama play on their courses on Labor Day weekend, it emerged on Wednesday. The Trump National Golf Club, the Winged Foot Golf Club and the Willow Ridge Country Club all turned down Obama, NBC 4 New York reports. The news station says the president’s advance team gave courses only a day or two of notice that Obama would be in the area, and clubs may have rejected the White House’s request to protect their wealthy members from being inconvenienced during the holiday weekend. Membership dues at the swanky golf clubs run upward of $100,000 a year. NBC 4 says it learned of the president’s golf plans from sources who were informed of the calls made by Obama’s advance staff. The news station says it reached out to the clubs that were approached, but they declined to comment. Obama ended up golfing at his customary course on the grounds of the Fort Belvoir military installation in Virginia the next day. Whether they have an issue with his policies or his skin color…the president is the president! SMH.

Obama Approval Rating: 51 Percent Heading Into Second Term

President Obama embarks on his second term in the White House next week with a majority of the nation giving him a good performance review, albeit barely. Fifty-one percent of Americans surveyed January 11-15 approve of how Obama is handling his job, according to CBS News, while 41 percent disapprove. Fittingly, Obama received 51 percent of the vote in the 2012 presidential election, while Republican challenger Mitt Romney garnered (yes) 47 percent . Obama’s 51 percent approval rating is similar to the one held by former President George W. Bush at the start of his second term, in January 2005. It is below what former President Bill Clinton (60 percent) and former President Ronald Reagan (62 percent) enjoyed at the start of their second terms. The “fiscal cliff” negotiations didn’t alter public opinion of the president’s ability to handle the economy, which only 46 percent of Americans approve of.
