Setting his hot tub time machine for the mid-19th century, John Cusack will be starring as Edgar Allan Poe in James McTeigue’s The Raven . The film will not be based on Poe’s poem, but rather on Poe and a young detective’s hunt for a serial killer in Baltimore in the last few days of Poe’s life. Y’know, I think I’d much rather watch a biopic proper of Poe’s life, rather than see him awkwardly shoehorned into some standard killer-thriller. After the break, check out the only adaption of The Raven worth watching.
