50 Cent Responds To Rick Ross’ Comments On Him Being Washed [Video]

Source: NEW YORK, NY – APRIL 26: Rick Ross attends Inside Wale’s “Shine” Listening Event at Genius Event Space on April 26, 2017 in New York City. (Photo by Shareif Ziyadat/Getty Images)  The 50 Cent and Rick Ross beef has caught a new wave. Rozay’s recent commentary has drawn a response from Hip-Hop’s troll master. As spotted on Complex Ross paid a visit earlier this week to Big Boy’s Neighborhood morning radio show. When asked about his prior problems with Fif the “Big Tyme” rapper revealed he has moved on and would even work with him if Curtis was in his bag. “Honestly, I’m a businessman. If 50 Cent still had value, I may have been done it. But not being funny, homie just ain’t that dude no more,” he theorized. “We was riding through L.A. smoking to ‘Hate It or Love It’ yesterday. That sh*t was dope. We was saluting Cool & Dre, that’s Miami who did the production. Game, 50 Cent… That was dope. If he was still making music like that, of course.” View this post on Instagram #RickRoss says he may have squashed beef with #50Cent “if he still had value.” Watch full interview at link in bio A post shared by Big Boy's Neighborhood (@bigboysneighborhood) on Jul 31, 2019 at 9:27am PDT During a press run for  Power 50 was asked about the Miami MC’s feedback. “I never made music with him. I don’t have interest in making music with him.” He continued, “A lot of these guys, even when you make reference to music culture and stuff like that, they’re one-trick ponies, so they’re going to be gone. In hip-hop, they say it’s not what have you done, what have you done for me lately, right? So you could get next to the guys that got momentum and try and survive based on that. But, it’s not a lot going on there.” You can view his response below. (Photo by Dave Kotinsky/Getty Images for Pandora) Seems like just yesterday Young M.A was the toast of the town when she had everyone going “Oooouu!” and though she’s since cooled off but today she returns with some hard hitting work to remind everyone she’s a problem with the pen. In her clip to “Bleed” the Brooklyn rapper takes her talents – and her drink – from the parking lot to her apartment where she drops bars so hard her shorties can use ‘em to pleasure themselves. From the east to the south, Kevin Gates takes Donald Trump’s bullshi*t phrase and makes it his own as he comes through with a red hat we can all get behind in his visual to “M.A.T.A” (Make America Trap Again). Check out the rest of today’s drops and some joints you might’ve missed over the weekend including work from Young Buck, Birdman and Jacquees featuring FYB and King Issa, and more. Watch: Meek Mill Opens Up About Deading His Beef With Drake & Jay-Z Accidentally Playing ‘Back To Back’

View original post here:

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Meek Mill has had a rollercoaster year, but he’s finishing 2018 strong. After spending nearly five months in jail, the Philly rapper came out swinging at the law. Joining the conversation surrounding racial disparities in the criminal justice system, Meek has been shedding light on how Black youth are targeted and kept behind bars for extended periods of time. And besides getting politically active , the Wins & Losses lyricist is also killing on the music front, having just dropped his highly anticipated fourth studio album. Possibly his most memorable project to date, Championships boasted incredible features from mentor Jay-Z , rap newcomer Cardi B , Fabolous , and even former rap nemesis Drake . Meek tugged at heartstrings on “Trauma,” Hov made his relationship with Kanye West clear on “What’s Free,” Drizzy and Meek reunited in a moment of brotherly love on “Going Bad” …and that was only the beginning. Listen to the full album here . Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty After releasing the project to rave reviews, Meek hit up Elliott Wilson ‘s CRWN series this week and dished on everything from how Jay-Z’s verse came about to being motivated by Drake’s “Back to Back” diss record and having dinner with Bey and Hov. He also gave advice to the upcoming generation of rappers and discussed using his platform to speak on important issues, plus Kevin Hart coming to visit him in prison. Watch the interview via TIDAL  above, plus a few highlights below. On Getting A Hov Feature For Championships “I represent the path that Hov created—a young hustler from Marcy projects that became a billionaire. That’s the sh*t I grew up on and the type of music I grew up on and the things I wanted to be. I spent a piece of my life sipping lean, for a short period of time, popping percs…but that was never my lifestyle…I grew up on being a hustler and flipping money and doubling money and trying to move your family out the hood and being a boss. So, I always wanted that Jay-Z feature. He came through this time. Shoutout to Hov!” On His Favorite Bar In Hov’s Verse “My favorite part is ‘I ain’t got a billion streams, I got a billion dollars.’” On Squashing The Beef With Drake And Coming Together For The Album “A lot of people don’t know me and Drake been contacting each other for a year, but it’s like I’m not with the fake shit. I’m not with the, just try to act like I’m cool with you to do a record. If we fight or you got beef with somebody in the street, you don’t wanna…have a problem with them, and then the next day y’all got y’all arm around each other. It take time—he gotta be ready, I gotta be ready for that sh*t.” Watch the clip up top to hear stories from the rapper about his time in prison, that time Jay Z accidentally played “Back To Back” during a double date with Meek, Nicki Minaj, and Beyoncé , and more. The Rewind: We Checked Out ‘Robin Hood’ And Let You Know Whether You Should Too

See original here:

Source: Global Grind / Global Grind Another episode of The Rewind is here and we are more than happy to give you your much-needed dose of recap reality. Every week we revisit some of the pop culture trends, movies, viral moments and music from the week before and give our hot takes. Our experts Landon Lavarius and DJ Franchise share their opinions, sprinkle in some facts and then when it’s all over and done with, provide a rating of 1 to 10. We listen to the songs, watch the movies, scour the internet, and do the hard work so you don’t have to. On today’s episode, we’re getting into the new Robin Hood film. Unless you’ve lived under a rock your entire life, you probably know the story of Robin Hood pretty well. He was a well-meaning thief that robbed the rich to give to the poor. There have been a ton of movies based on the story of Robin Hood but this particular one came out on November 21, 2018 and stars Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn and others. It was produced by  Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson Killoran, and Basil Iwanyk. The story is a classic and other Robin Hood movies (and cartoons) have seemingly been received well. However, this one? Not so much. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 16% on the Tomatometer and with a production budget of $100 million, the film only brought in a total gross of $25.9 million worldwide. To say it flopped would be an understatement. The new Robin Hood was a box office bomb. But was it really bad or was it overshadowed by the release of Creed II, which did amazing in the box office? DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius give their take. We also break down last week’s rap battle between Joyner Lucas and Tory Lanez. The two exchanged some friendly fire after Tory Lanez got a little cocky on Instagram Live and said that Joyner Lucas couldn’t see him lyrically. Joyner challenged him to a bar for bar battle that resulted in several diss tracks between the two. It’s cool though, they are both still fans of one another and did it all for the love of hip hop. Did you get to listen for yourself? DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius give us a break down, and of course a rating, of the freestyles on today’s episode of The Rewind . Watch the full episode at the top of the page and let us know how you feel!
