Since its 2011 debut, GoT has met or exceeded the high expectations set by HBO, setting a new high water mark this spring, with no apparent end in sight. A series-record 6.6 million viewers saw the Season 4 premiere, breaking online piracy records and briefly crashing HBO Go , the network’s streaming service. The first episode of 2014, “Two Swords,” became the network’s most watched episode of any show since The Sopranos’ 2007 finale (11.9 million viewers). Suffice it to say, the series is only becoming more popular with time. In an effort to continue that upward trajectory, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have also been signed to a new contract through Season 6. Excited for the renewal? What did you think of Sunday’s premiere? Where do you see the show going in the next three seasons?
